- -Updates- Thanks for your participation so far in the Safe and Secure training. Before we conclude, I wanted to take a few moments to call out some very significant topics that pertain to our prevention strategies and give a few important updates. These areas are ones that are utilized frequently and where we often get the most questions. I'm thankful for the questions because that means we are working to put into practice prevention methods that can lower the risk of harm to our children. First, I want to call your attention to Go Method in our screening for volunteers. We've been using Go Method to assess all our volunteers for over two years now. It's been a great tool to help us have eyes on the vetting process for people we send to work alongside of our personnel and partners. We have seen valuable results with Go Method. This tool has alerted us to individuals that posed a risk to our children and, in some cases adults, and we were able to prevent unnecessary risks by having that vital information. Also, as reported from the field in workers and volunteers, there has been great progress in the streamlining of Go Method, and our commitment is to continue to make that tool even more user-friendly. If you have questions or need help using Go Method, please continue to reach out via email to info@msnpath.com. And one update to Go Method is that we are working on a better process for vetting non-U.S. citizen or non-English proficient volunteers. This would cover those volunteers who are unable to go through Go Method due to not being able to have a background check or are not proficient in English, making the process difficult to read, respond, and understand. We know this is a need, so please be looking for information on the Intranet and Connections+ regarding the process we will use for those individuals. Again, if you have questions on this process, email info@msnpath.com. Another incredible step in raising the bar in prevention is the desire from field personnel to use our Safe and Secure training to train nationals on child safety. These individuals may not be direct partners with our organization, but individuals who work closely with our personnel and platforms, churches, and other work or ministry functions. Field personnel are seeing the benefit from having those individuals trained in child safety. And this may be a new concept for the national. We are working at making our Safe and Secure volunteer training available in several different languages and unbranded so that field personnel can share the training with those working closely with them in work and ministries. Child safety training is spreading, and this is great news. Education is key to prevention. Having our trainings and our vetting process have a further reach can only strengthen our opportunity to provide a safe and secure environment for our children and the ones we serve. And another area that is fairly new is the TCK Guidelines for Events. Those can be found now on the Intranet by searching "TCK Meeting and Event Guidelines." The guidelines map out practical prevention methods to put into place when hosting a meeting, training, or a TCK event. They cover topics like proper supervision, rooming guidelines, and more. Please make sure that if you are planning an event where TCKs will be present that you refer to those guidelines for ensuring you are preparing well in the area of child safety. The goal for these guidelines is to reduce the opportunity of risk of harm to our children. If you have questions about how to implement these guidelines into your event, first, contact your leadership to talk through the questions you have. And then, if you still need help, contact me, the PARA. Again, thank you for all that you do to help keep our children safe. I understand that using Go Method, Safe and Secure training, and the event guidelines can add time and effort to your already extremely busy schedules. I also know that if we can prevent one child from experiencing abuse that could result in lifelong mental and emotional effects, the extra time and effort was worth it. I truly appreciate your efforts, and I'm always here to help you.
