the Oscars, of all community

colleges.

EFRAIN SILVA: IVC
is being considered

one of the top
colleges in the nation.

Dr. LENNOR JOHNSON: The
people are incredible,

the employees,
the team is great,

they're committed
to student success.

Dr. DANIEL ORTIZ: It's
humbling as a product

of this institution, to be
designated as one of the top 25

candidates for Aspen.

EFRAIN SILVA: That's really
a testament of all the work

that we've done, starting
from the leadership

of our president, Dr. Johnson.

Dr. LENNOR JOHNSON:
This award is

like the highlight of any
college presidents career.

YONDA CATANO: Everything
from the Lotus living

to increasing enrollment
to upwards of 70%

Dr. DANIEL ORTIZ:
We connect students

from in-class services to
careers, they finish on time.

We have high success rates
in our NCLEX pass rates.

YONDA CATANO: When it comes to
IVC, getting that award really

means that we've
stepped up to the plate,

it means that we've
done our work,

and we're still continuing
to push forward.

Dr. LENNOR JOHNSON: To
be recognized as one--

as a top 150th finalist, and
then drilled down to a top 25

in the whole nation out
of almost 1,200 schools,

says a lot about
the people here,

our students and that
commitment to excellence.

EFRAIN SILVA: We want
IVC to be the best

and we're all working
together to be the best.

Dr. LENNOR JOHNSON: It
definitely took a team effort.

YONDA CATANO: Honestly, I have
no doubts that IVC will make it

to the top 10.

I'm really excited to see
what the next steps are going

to be for IVC, and we're
really, really making sure

that we get there.
