We're kind of late to the party,
and well, honestly,
we've went abroad
that's why our review
of the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
was late.
This is the premium variant
in the Nothing (3a) series,
and this was released
with the (3a).
Except that in the Philippines,
it's released a bit later.
Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3
with a Samsung GNJ 50MP
main camera sensor.
Its selfie camera sensor
is also 50MP
which definitely, I'll say,
is very good.
And this one comes together
with three major Android updates.
More details after
this quick intro.
(introduction music)
Now, the Nothing Phone (3a)
that has 12GB of RAM
and 256GB of storage
is currently priced
at Php27,999
and you can buy this
in Digital Walker,
online and offline.
I'll post the link
on the description box below.
Now, this phone is available
in two colors—
either you go for the black
or the white color.
And another thing is that
this one supports eSIM.
And of course, don't forget
this one comes together
with its glyph interface
which is one
of my favorite features here.
Another good feature
is its Nothing theme
that's all black for the icons
which I think is very unique
on its own.
And it's very uniform.
The only thing is that
you'll have a hard time
where the Facebook icon is
because you won't
easily identify it
since they're all the same.
Like with these logos,
you'll see the logo
of Genshin Impact,
Call of Duty Mobile,
and Farlight 84,
you won't be tempted to play
because they're all black
and white.
You don't know which is which.
Resists temptation.
One of the good things with it
is its beautiful design.
I love the glass finish
on the back
and its transparency
is very nice.
Its design on the camera bump
is kind of different
which is very unique on its own.
And it also has plastic
side frames that's a matte finish
and a Panda Glass
front protection.
Its bezels are not that thin
but it's symmetrical,
up and down, and left and right.
And it has a special button
on the side.
If you press it,
it'll take a screenshot
and you can record
the sounds here and attach
the voice messages
on the screenshot
which is very useful for me.
It's a very unique feature
that's present
on the Nothing (3a) Pro,
and also available on the (3a).
Before we continue,
of course, I just want
to invite you to subscribe
to my channel so you can see
our review of the CMF Phone 2 Pro
pretty soon in our channel.
And of course, don't forget
to hit that notification bell
as well.
One of the things that's okay here
is that this one
is being powered by the Qualcomm
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3
which, for me, is quite
a good midrange chip
which was able to roughly give me
a 780,000 points
on AnTuTu Benchmark.
This is the score that I got
when broken down.
Its loop score is 1,060
on the Wild Life Extreme
and 99% stability.
This is the score I got
on Geekbench CPU benchmark
and on the GPU benchmark.
Its thermals are looking good
and it throttled to 90%
of its best performance.
Now, its battery here
is a 5,000mAh of battery
which I think is just normal,
nothing special,
it's not that big.
And 5,000mAh
is almost industry standard.
Normally, you'd want to have
a bigger one like 5,500
or 6,000mAh.
But this one is just ample enough
for a whole day of usage,
supporting up to 50W wired charging
without a charging brick inside.
You have to buy it separately.
I would suggest you buy something
like Anker or UGreen.
On a day-to-day usage,
I can say that
the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3
is very power efficient.
And it can last you maybe
around 1.5 days
before this phone fully drains.
Using this as my main daily driver
while I'm working,
it can last for 1 1/2 days
based on my experience.
And when I put this
on the PCMark battery stress test,
it gave me 18 hours
and 19 minutes of screen-on time.
And this one is being tested
under 50% brightness
and 60Hz of screen refresh rate.
This Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
is long-lasting.
When it comes to display,
this one has
a 6.77-inch AMOLED display.
It has 120Hz of screen refresh rate
and its maximum brightness
is 3,000 nits.
It's protected by the Panda Glass,
this one will give you
a good swiping experience
be it on your favorite
social media apps
like Facebook, Twitter,
and of course, TikTok.
And when you swipe here,
you'll feel that
your experience is smooth here
as long as your
internet connection is good.
When you watch movies
on this phone,
expect your experience
to be okay
because the beauty
of its display,
its AMOLED screen is definitely
one of the better ones
that Nothing used.
Expect that your viewing experience
will be good,
giving you your money's worth.
This phone has two stereo speakers,
one on the bottom
and the other one is hidden
on your earpiece.
Let's listen to how loud it is
when we max it out.
(HANDS UP by MEOVV)
Honestly, its sound is not bad.
I would say it's above average
for me, but nothing near
the flagship level sound.
But it's not bad.
When it comes to gaming,
I played three games here.
We've played Delta Force,
Call of Duty Mobile,
and Farlight 84.
On Delta Force, this is quite
a new game for me,
but I was able to get
a hang of it already.
And playing for around 30 minutes,
my experience was okay
with it.
Putting it to the graphic settings
that it can handle,
I would tell you that
the experience was not bad here.
I was able to enjoy this game,
having quite a good sounds here.
Its touch response was okay.
I didn't feel any lags here.
And after 30 minutes
of gameplay, 36°C.
On Call of Duty Mobile,
expect your graphic experience
will be good here,
there's no doubt about that.
And I did play quite a number
of BR matches here
and to be honest with you,
I enjoyed here.
Playing for roughly an hour,
I really enjoyed it.
The touch response was good,
the graphics was good,
I didn't feel any frame drops.
And the hottest temperature
after one hour of gameplay
was 36°C.
On Farlight 84,
I also maxed out its graphics.
My experience was also okay.
I didn't feel any frame drops
while running.
And especially when there's
many enemies on the field,
it's still fine.
You won't feel that
it has frame drops or lags,
I didn't feel anything
while playing the game.
And one thing I liked about it
is that its screen
is very responsive
on my every single touch.
After 30 minutes
of gameplay, 36°C.
Let's now talk
about its camera here.
One of the things
I was surprised here
is its camera performance.
I would say, and I was
so happy with the output
that I got on the Nothing (3a) Pro,
which I'm happy
to share to you.
And it starts off with
a 50MP main camera sensor
with OIS.
This one is a Samsung GN7 sensor.
Followed by a 50MP
periscope telephoto lens
with OIS with up
to 3x optical zoom.
This one is a Sony LYT600 sensor.
And there comes the 8MP
ultra wide lens
which is a Sony IMX355.
This one can let you shoot
up to 4K and 60 FPS.
And its front-facing camera
is a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1
which can let you shoot
up to 4K and 30 FPS.
Now probably one
of the better cameras
that I've used
from the Nothing (3a) series
is the Nothing (3a) Pro.
And taking a look
at these shots from outdoor,
I love the way
how this shot was captured.
It is just a very simple shot,
just a quick snap.
And we can see that
this building looks very sharp.
Its details look good.
And how this shot was captured
looks very dramatic.
It's kind of got like
a vignette effect
and it gives you
that melodramatic feel
on this shot.
And this is another good shot.
Even if it's kind of gloomy,
we can see it looks
pretty nice and solid as well.
If you're just simply
panning around,
you can get some nice shots
on this camera.
Equally nice for this shot.
I can tell you that
it's not that saturated
and this can be a good post
on Instagram
because of the beauty
of its green shade.
And this shot is from another angle.
It's still beautiful.
Now taking a look
at some of these flower shots
that we got, it looks really nice,
it's very solid.
You can see the details
on its leaves.
And if you're trying to take
other colorful flower shots
on outdoors, expect it
to give you a really nice
and detailed shot here.
Capturing another building shot,
and you can really see
that the details are good.
Now trying to play
with the different lenses,
this is an ultra wide shot,
normal,
2x,
3x,
6x,
and this is a 10x zoom.
We can see it's digitally zoomed
but it's still okay.
If you're asking me
how many times it can zoom,
it can zoom up to 60x zoom.
When it comes to video,
it can give you up to 8x zoom.
When talking
about food photography,
there's no doubt in my mind
that this camera
can definitely perform.
You can see all of these shots
that we captured
on the food...
And this is probably one
of my favorite shots that I got.
It really looks nice,
these greens for salad.
And looking at some
of these other food shots
that we captured,
even its halogen yellow bulb,
it still performs well
under this camera.
Taking a look at some
of these shots of the LED lights,
it looks pretty nice and solid.
And some indoor
flower shot looks pretty nice
as well.
Even these shots,
it looks pretty good
and have very sharp details.
Taking a look at some
of these gown shots,
I can tell you
that when you zoom in,
you can clearly see the beads.
And when you take shots
from the indoors
on the lightings,
you can see it's okay,
it's intact,
it's not overexposed.
Taking some product shots,
looks pretty nice and solid.
And what's good here is that
it can separate the subject
from the background
in a good way.
These are some another
product shots that we got,
it looks nice.
And by the way, I captured them
from The Matcha Tokyo.
If we'll talk
about the selfie shot,
there's no doubt that my shots
also look great.
I was quite surprised,
this is probably the right mix
of selfies among
other midrange phones
that I've used.
It's either looking washed out,
yellowish, or whitish,
but this one, it's just
the right mix.
It looks nice,
I love the way it is.
And even my blemishes
are captured on its camera.
It looks pretty nice.
Though there are times
that when the lighting is harsh,
you can see that it kind
of gets overexposed,
but just angle it correctly,
so the shot will look good.
And sometimes that
its shadow shots look good.
On indoor photography,
expect that it'll soften.
We can see that if we zoom in
on these photos,
my face kind of smoothens out
and it kind of looks soft.
But there are times that
when the lighting is good,
you'll get some nice shots
just like this one.
Handsome.
When we talk about
indoor selfie videos, it's okay,
it's not jittery, and its resolution
looks okay.
And when we talk about
the rear camera, it's great,
very stable,
and very sharp resolution.
This is perfect for vlogging.
Now guys, what can I say
about the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro?
Honestly, I'm so happy
with the camera shots
that I got here.
It was able to perform outdoor,
indoor, lowlight,
you won't have any problems.
And its front-facing camera
is surprisingly good.
Probably one of the reasons
why you're going to buy this one
is the great performance
of its camera.
I think, personally,
this one can go toe-to-toe
with the vivo V50 with ZEISS.
This one, even without
a ZEISS collaboration,
the output of the shots
that we took here was great.
And it also can give you
some good gaming experience here
and it's not that hot.
Plus, its form factor
is quite good.
It's easy for me to recommend
the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro.
How about you guys,
what will you choose,
black or white?
