If you haven't bought
a smartphone
last Christmas 2024 yet,
congratulations
because as early as now,
January of 2025,
we now have a flagship killer,
this new POCO X7 Pro.
This phone
has flagship killer specs
without the flagship price tag.
Dimensity 8400 Ultra.
It can almost compete
with the SD 8 Gen 3.
6,000mAh of battery,
it's so big,
with 90W charging capability.
CrystalRes AMOLED display
with 1.5K display.
Best of all, Sony IMX882
50MP main camera sensor.
Are you intrigued enough?
Finish this video.
(introduction music)
This POCO X7 Pro Iron Man Edition
with a 12GB of RAM
and 512GB of storage
would be priced
at Php22,999.
But for early birds,
this phone is only Php19,999.
The regular edition
of the POCO X7 Pro
has three variants.
It has 8GB of RAM
and 256GB of storage
priced at Php16,999.
But for early birds,
it's only Php15,999.
It has 12GB of RAM
and 256GB storage
priced at Php17,999.
For early birds,
it's only Php16,999.
And of course,
it has 12GB/512GB
with a regular price
of Php19,999.
But for early birds,
it's only Php18,499.
I'll be posting
all of the official links
on the description box below.
So check out the official links.
One of the things
that I really like about this phone
is its collaboration
with Marvel.
We can see that the build
on this Iron Man phone
is really good.
The Iron Man logo on the back
is really looking nice,
plus it has an Avengers logo
on the bottom
which is definitely cool
for Marvel fans.
And they even have
a custom box.
Its back is really beautiful
and I was hoping
that its side are also custom,
even just a metallic red
to make it look
a lot more Iron Man-ish design.
But what they did here
is just a very plain
matte black plastic frame
on the sides
which is, I would say,
just lacking a bit of effort.
But I'm happy with the red ring
on the two camera modules
which are looking really nice.
It's really fitting
on this phone.
And its red button
looks also really good.
Another plus point
is the theme here
which is what I didn't see
on the POCO F6 Deadpool Edition.
I'll show you the theme
in full detail.
One thing that I really like
on this phone
is that its theme pack
is really great.
Now, we know that
its back is Iron Man theme.
And I've voiced out
during our review
of the POCO F6 Deadpool Edition
that the back looks great,
except that its theme
is just a regular theme.
But on this one,
POCO really did the extra work,
giving the theme that we want.
This is a special custom-made
Iron Man theme.
We can see the icons here
are specially made
for this phone.
Therefore, I would say
that this is definitely
a special edition.
Not just only its back case
but the experience
while using this phone
is definitely better.
Overall, its design is good,
my grip on this is great,
and I would say its bezels
are just right.
Not the thinnest
that I've seen
but its symmetrical bezels
are quite decent.
This phone is the first one
to sport the MediaTek
Dimensity 8400 Ultra.
And like I've said in the intro,
this one can go
almost toe to toe
with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
because POCO said that
it can give an AnTuTu score
of up to 1.8 million points.
Honestly, I would hardly get
that score.
After five tries,
I only got 1.5 million points.
But I've asked
other tech reviewers
and they were able to get
1.6 and 1.7 million score
here on AnTuTu Benchmark.
I'm not quite sure
why it didn't work with mine.
This is the breakdown score
that we got.
This is the score that I got
on CPU benchmarking
on Geekbench.
And this is the GPU benchmarking.
Its thermals are looking okay.
After five minutes,
it kind of went down a bit
and it throttled to 79%
of its best performance.
POCO said that they've put
liquid cooling technology 4.0
in this phone.
We'll find out later
on gaming if it really cools better
compared to X6 Pro.
When it comes to battery,
it's huge at 6,000mAh
which, for me, is a good upgrade
over the X6 Pro.
Another good thing here
is it supports 90W
of fast charging of Xiaomi.
Only thing is that
this box doesn't come
with any charging brick.
If you're an early bird buyer,
it would come together
with a free Xiaomi
charging brick.
But I've heard that
the regular X7 has
a charging brick included.
Charging from 0 to 100%
on this phone using
the Xiaomi 90W
fast charging brick,
it finishes at around 30 minutes.
And another thing
that's delightful here
is that it can last
one whole day
without even hitting
the charging brick,
that is provided that
you're not heavy into gaming
and video conferencing
or video taking.
This can really last
one whole day.
It can maybe even last
one and a half day.
When I put this
under the battery stress test
on PCMark, it was able
to get 19 hours
and 7 minutes of screen-on time.
I tested this
under 50% brightness
and 60Hz of screen refresh rate.
Let's talk about its display.
This phone has a 6.67-inch
CrystalRes AMOLED display
with 1.5K resolution.
It has a refresh rate
of up to 120Hz.
And its touch sampling rate
is 2,560Hz.
Maximum brightness is 3,000 nits.
And it also has 1,920Hz
PWM dimming
which is definitely more friendlier
to the eyes.
And its protection
is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
When I was scrolling
on social media,
like Facebook, TikTok,
Instagram,
and on other social media apps,
you'll really feel
this phone to be very smooth
because of its high refresh rate.
You won't feel
your screen stuttering.
As long as your
internet connection is good,
expect it to give you
a great scrolling experience
on this phone.
And another thing,
it has a Level 1
Widevine Security Level
so you can definitely watch
HD content on this phone.
And when I was watching
HD content on YouTube,
I was able to enjoy
different videos
that I've watched here
while I was on my vacation.
And especially watching anime
and Korean novellas,
this phone is a winner.
This phone has stereo speakers,
two holes on top
and five holes on the bottom.
Let's try it out
to see if its speakers hold up.
(APT by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars)
Its sound is surprisingly good,
and when I maxed out
its volume,
it doesn't sound tinny.
So its speakers are good.
Let's talk about gaming.
Earlier, I said that it has
a liquid cooling technology 4.0
which is an improved version
of the liquid cooling technology
of POCO here.
And it has a POCO 3D
IceLoop system.
And further giving you
some ideas on its specs,
it sports a LPDDR5x RAM
and UFS 4.0 storage.
Plus, it has a WildBoost
Optimization 3.0
on its Game Turbo mode.
So I played four games here:
Honor of Kings,
Genshin Impact, Farlight 84,
and Call of Duty Mobile.
If you're playing the game
Honor of Kings
on POCO X7 Pro,
expect that it would give you
a really good experience.
Setting it to all high settings
that it can handle,
it'll really give you
a really, really nice experience.
The gameplay was really smooth.
I almost didn't feel
any frame drops along the way.
One thing I like about it
is that its sound is good
and the screen's responsiveness
is very fast while I'm playing.
And another thing that I like
is that its display is great,
giving you a better experience
while gaming.
And after 30 minutes
of gameplay on Honor of Kings,
its maximum temperature
was 39°C.
When it comes to Genshin Impact,
I maxed out
its graphic settings at high
and 60 FPS.
And its performance
is also very smooth.
I would say that
its gameplay on Genshin Impact
is almost comparable
to a flagship.
I almost didn't feel
any frame drops
while playing against big bosses
here on Genshin Impact.
And another thing
that I also liked about it
is that the response
of every single touch is so fast.
And this phone is probably one
of the better ones
that I've played
for Genshin Impact.
And honestly,
I would highly recommend
this phone if you're a player
of Genshin Impact.
After 30 minutes of gameplay,
the hottest it achieved was 43°C.
On Farlight 84,
we also maxed out
its graphic settings,
and honestly, to my surprise,
its gameplay was good.
Though there are
some minor frame drops
but you won't almost notice it.
But those frame drops
don't happen that often,
it's very minimal
and only a handful.
One thing I liked about it
while playing Farlight 84
is that its screen is clear
while playing this game.
And after playing
two ranked matches
for 30 minutes,
the hottest it achieved
was also 43°C.
On Call of Duty Mobile,
we maxed out its graphics
and its gameplay
was really great,
I was so happy with it.
We put it to max frame rate
and it was able to give us
a really good experience.
One thing I liked about it
is its loudspeaker
that sounds great.
While you're playing this game,
you'll hear the footsteps
coming from the left and right
and you'll really be able
to distinguish it
from the speakers.
I'm not saying it's one
of the best speakers out there
but I would say
you'll really hear the footsteps
from the left and right,
you'll be able to distinguish them
from this phone.
And playing for 30 minutes,
it also reached 43°C.
Probably one of the highlights
on this phone is its camera.
It has improved significantly
from the POCO X6 Pro.
Its main camera sensor
is a Sony IMX882 50MP with OIS
and it also has included
an 8MP ultra wide lens.
Its front-facing camera
is a 20MP front-facing shooter.
Its back can shoot you
up to 4K and 60 FPS.
And its front can shoot you
up to 1080p and 30 FPS.
I've been navigating
with this phone.
I'm playing with its camera.
And to my surprise,
I got many great shots
from this POCO X7 Pro.
And we can see that some
of these outdoor shots,
it's just a very simple shot
but it looks really nice.
Taking some building shots
on Quezon City
and you'd see that
even though it's kind of gloomy,
these shots are captured nicely.
And trying to take
some flower shot
even though the lighting
is not that great
