women, people of color, trans and queer folks

and many others across the US

have been targeted in over

400 reported acts of aggression and hate.

This is unacceptable.

Feminist Frequency is founded on the belief

that media matters;

and that there is a very real connection

between the representations and values

embedded in our popular media

and the abuses we're currently seeing

throughout the country.

responding to the election results,

and reminding us all

that we have to call out and address

sexism, racism, and all forms of bigotry

especially as they pervade mass media.
