Before I begin
ก่อนผมจะเริ่ม

we will take a look at some
เรามาดูที่บาง

of the common questions that often arise
คำถามประจำที่ชักจะพบบ่อยขึ้น

when talking about learning English language
เมื่อพูดถึงการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ

and more importantly,
และที่สำคัญไปกว่านั้น

learning it as a second language.
(คือเมื่อเรา)เรียนภาษาอังกฤษ เป็นภาษาที่สอง

So, the first question must be... 
เอาล่ะ คำถามแรก ต้องเป็น..

"Why do we need to learn English?"
"เราจำเป็นต้องเรียนภาษาอังกฤษไปทำไม? "

Of course, one of the reasons
แน่นอน เหตุผลหนึ่งที่ว่า

why we need to be able to speak English nowadays
ทำไมทุกวันนี้เราถึงต้องสามารถพูดภาษาอังกฤษได้

is because the world is becoming smaller.
ก็เพราะว่า โลกเรากำลังเล็กลงเรื่อยๆ

Thanks to the internet
ขอบคุณอินเตอเนต

and our developing global economy
และการที่เศรษฐกิจโลกของเรามีการพัฒนา

more and more people are using English
ผู้คนจำนวนมากต่อมากได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ

as a common way to communicate with each other
เป็นสื่อกลางในการติดต่อสื่อสารซึ่งกันและกัน

So now, it has become unavoidable,
ซึ่งตอนนี้ มันกลายเป็น เลี่ยงไม่ได้แล้ว

that companies and large businesses
ที่บริษัทต่างๆ และ ธุรกิจขนาดใหญ่ต่างๆ

will need to employ people
จะต้องการจ้างคน

who can speak more than their own native language
ที่สามารถพูดได้มากกว่า ภาษาที่เขาเป็นเจ้าของภาษา

That is where English comes in...
นั่นคือที่ที่ภาษาอังกฤษได้เข้ามา

It is now officially considered
ในปัจจุบัน มันถูกพิจารณาอย่างเป็นทางการ

as an international language.
ว่าเป็นภาษาสากล

Of course, learning anything is difficult
แน่นอนว่า การเรียนอะไรก็ตาม มันยาก

and English is no exception.
และภาษาอังกฤษ ก็ไม่มีข้อยกเว้นด้วย

However, there are ways to make the situation easier
แม้ว่า มันมีหนทาง ที่จะทำให้สถานการณ์นั้นง่ายขึ้น

I have come up with my own list of general rules
ผมก็มีรายชื่อของกฎพื้นฐาน

for learning English.
สำหรับการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ

Do you want to hear them?
คุณอยากฟังไหมครับ?

Do you want to know what they are?
คุณอยากรู้ไหมครับ ว่ามันคืออะไร?

OK. Let's go!!
ตกลง ไปกันเลย

Learning English takes time and patience.
การเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ ใช้เวลา และ ใช้ความอดทน

It cannot be rushed.
รีบๆไม่ได้

Try to relax and take it easy.
พยายามผ่อนคลายและมองว่ามันง่าย

The most important thing you need at the beginning
สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุด ที่คุณต้องมีตั้งแต่เริ่ม

is a good vocabulary.
คือ คำศัพท์ที่ดี (รู้คามหมายศัพท์ดี ว่าหมายความว่าอะไร ใช้ยังไง)

Without words, you have nothing to work with.
ถ้าไม่รู้ศัพท์ คุณก็ไม่รู้จะเรียนอะไร

You must start with a strong foundation
คุณต้องเริ่มด้วยพื้นฐานที่แข็งแกร่ง

or base,
หรือรากฐาน(ที่แข็งแกร่ง)

and sl:-) build on it, day by day!
และเริ่มเรียนจากนั้น ทีละวันๆ

You must view English as a part of your body...
คุณต้องมองเห็นภาษาอังกฤษ ว่าเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของร่างกายคุณ

just as you would, an arm or a leg.
แล้วแต่คุณ จะแขน หรือขา

It must become a part of your everyday life.
มันต้องกลายมาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวันของคุณ

Daily practice is very important.
การฝึกฝนอยู่ประจำในแต่ละวัน สำคัญมาก

Do not worry about making mistakes...
อย่ากังวลกลัวว่าจะทำผิดพลาด

in fact, the more mistakes you make...
จริงๆแล้ว ยิ่งใช้ผิดมากเท่าไหร่

the more you will learn from them.
เธอก็จะได้เรียนรู้จากมันมากขึ้นเท่านั้น

Just like learning to ride a bike.
เหมือนเรียนรู้ที่จะขี่จักรยาน

Sometimes you fall off.
บางครั้งคุณล้มบ้าง

So what do you do?
แล้วคุณทำไงต่อ?

You get back on and try again.
คุณก็ลุกขึ้นและพยายามอีก

Do not look at English as just another subject.
อย่ามองว่าภาษาอังกฤษเป็นแค่อีกวิชานึง

Your attitude to English and the way you view it
ทัศนคติของคุณต่อภาษาอังกฤษและทิศทางที่คุณมอง

will decide how well you progress.
จะตัดสินว่าคุณก้าวหน้ามากน้อยแค่ไหน

just as we say in English...
เหมือนที่เราพูดในภาษาอังกฤษว่า

"No pain... No gain"
ไม่เจ็บ ไม่โต

The two most important words to remember
มีคำอยู่ 2 คำ ที่สำคัญมากที่สุด ที่ควรระลึก

when learning English are...
เมื่อเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ คือ

Practice and Confidence.
การฝึกฝน และ ความมั่นใจ

Practice English everyday
ฝึกภาษาอังกฤษทุกๆวัน

and be confident.
และ มั่นใจ

You will find that the more you use English...
เธอจะพบว่า ยิ่งใช้ภาษาอังกฤษบ่อยเท่าไร

The better your English will become.
ภาษาอังกฤษก็ยิ่งดียิ่งขึ้นเท่านั้น

And the more confident you become...
และยิ่งมีความมั่นใจมากขึ้นเท่าไร

then the more you will want to use it.
ก็ทำให้เธอยิ่งอยากใช้ภาษาอังกฤษมากขึ้นเท่านั้น

Make it a rule to tell yourself...
ทำเป็นกฏ บอกกับตัวเอง

I can do it... ชั้นทำได้

I can do it... ชั้นทำได้

I c a n d o i t ! ! ! . . . ชั้น ทำ ได้

Please remember, my lessons are aimed at everyone.
กรุณาจำว่า บทเรียนของชั้น มีจุดมุ่งหวังไปสู่คนทุกๆคน

So hopefully, you will find something useful
ดังนั้นก็หวังว่า เธอจะพบบางอย่างที่เป็นประโยชน์แก่เธอบ้าง

in each one.

May be you will find some of the words I use very easy.
หวังว่าเธอจะพบว่าผมใช้คำบางคำอย่างง่ายมากๆ

But you also see some words
แต่เธอก็ยังเห็นคำบางคำ

that may be new to you.
ที่อาจจะใหม่สำหรับเธอ

Remember... my lessons are aimed at everyone.
