See, this demonstration of the will on glass.
See the base of the glass is willed in place.
See it did not fly.
That shows the speed and intensity of the will.
You also notice that the hand broke the glass.
There has been no conditioning of the hand.
No beating the hand to the sand.
No beating the hands into sawdust.
No beating the hands into bean bags.
It is all mental conditioning.
Not physical conditioning.
What you're going to see here is,
you take that mental conditioning,
I'm going to drive my fingers through
the same pieces of white pine board.
There has been no physical conditioning of this.
inaudible a technique called the whip.
And it's a different way of moving the hand,
it causes the hand to whip.
It will never penetrate the board,
but the board will break.
To test with speed-
we put a game into it.
We have Sergeant Rogers,
Come here-
and attempt to break the board,
And I will stand here with this machette.
It will be sheathed.
And try to hit his hand.
inaudible
I'm gonna try to drive it through.
But when you're moving.
laughter
That wasn't a real bad one.
But I want you to know-
It's a searing kind of motion.
It's searing the eyes right now.
I'm sorry.
You know it looks kinda whippy.
Never volunteer, man.
If I did Iron Palm like that-
It looks like nothing.
I'm gonna gaurantee if you hit 'em in the eye-
Their eyes are comin' out.
My eyes came out on that one.
No padding or anything.
We've got a pipe here.
Now we're gonna transfer the energy-
that we use, the force that we use-
to build a shield.
I'm gonna take the strike to the neck.
inaudible
We're going on three years now.
We have developed a new hand to hand program.
That is not inaudible anywhere else in the Army.
Using techniques from the martial arts- Kun Tao.
The three of us have been involved
with 36 lessons.
We've all obtained a black belt.
And the techniques you see us do today-
we could not do before we started our lessons-
in the martial art of Kun Tao.
People in the martial arts world
condition their body to take strikes.
They beat the different parts of their bodies
against posts, trees, and stuff.
To harden their bodies so once they receive
a strike at that part of their body
it supposedly doesn't hurt 'em.
We do none of that.
We don't beat our arms in posts.
We do no physical conditioning.
Such as beating and abusing our body.
The shield is all mental.
It comes from within.
The pipe.
Bent.
On my chest.
Really my solarplexus area.
If your mind does not tell you
that you can take the strikes-
take the attack of a foe-
and be able to attack him back.
You cannot do it.
If the mind does not tell you
that the piece of pipe
striking you in the chest
will not hurt, it will hurt.
So what do we say?
Is this all it is to what we do?
No.
What you have to do now is get into the other forms.
The form of movement.
If you have any other questions of what
you see on this film,
feel free to contact myself inaudible.
