OFFSCREEN NARRATOR: Hi. In this video, I'm going to show you how you can download and install R and RStudio on your Windows computer. So you will go ahead and open up a web browser. Mine is Google Chrome. And you will go to the website, "r-project.org." You will go ahead and click the "download R" link. And this is where you will select your CRAN Mirror, or, where R will be downloaded from. So, pick the location that is closest to you. So, I'm here in the United States. So I will scroll down to the United States. Or you can always do this cloud one, and that'll work just fine as well. Go ahead and click "Download R for Windows". And click "install R for the first time." And then hit "Download R," and then whatever version number. This might be updated by the time you watch this video. R is continually updating. So, as long as you're just getting the most recent one that's on this page, that's what's most important. That'll go ahead and start downloading. And once it is all downloaded, go ahead and open up the file. Alright, go ahead and go through the installation process, accepting all of these defaults. Hopefully, it shouldn't take too long. If you want, while we're waiting, we can go to the website where we can download RStudio. So you can go ahead and go to "rstudio.com." And then, we will wait here until we're ready. Okay. And now it has been set up. Go ahead and click "Finish." So now you have downloaded and installed R. So now let's go ahead and download and install RStudio. So at RStudio.com, click the "Download" button, and choose the RStudio Desktop free version. We do not need you to pay for this. Go ahead, make sure you already have R installed, which we do. And go ahead and click this button to install RStudio for Windows. Okay. Go ahead and open that up as well. And then you'll also go through and accept all the defaults as well. And install RStudio. I'll go ahead and take a pause real quick just while this, installs so, you don't have to sit here and wait. Alright, my RStudio is just about done. Oh. It's done. Perfect. Go ahead and click "Finish". Okay. Should be able to go ahead and come to your start menu and search for RStudio. And when you open up RStudio, it should look something like this. Or even just like this. If you've gotten to this point, this is great. That means R and RStudio are working great on your computer. Alright. See you in the next video.
