My name is Cecilia, and I'm in Grade 7
at Canada's National Ballet School.
I love the feeling of freedom
when I'm dancing,
and I love to perform and entertain.
I'm Marley. I'm in Grade 10.
I'm in the Professional Ballet Program,
and I have been at the school
for five years.
What I really like about dancing
is the feeling through my body,
feeling the freedom,
really moving to the music,
and interpreting how I feel.
In 2019, I was watching Arise
in the audience, thinking to myself,
"This is one of the coolest pieces
I've ever seen."
It was choreographed by Jera Wolfe,
and to be able to dance it,
it was really special.

It was really a privilege
to work with Mr. Wolfe,
and he really made all the rehearsals
really fun and engaging.
We all grew as people and as dancers
throughout this whole process.
We really supported each other,
and it came through our performance.
I was chosen to be a lead,
and that was an amazing experience.
It felt really empowering to know
that there were so many people
really invested in what you were doing,
watching you, and really feeling
the dance that you were performing.
I really like this part near the end
where we all get lifted
and linked together.
It was like a human wave,
and it was spectacular.
(Marley) Feeling the energy
of everyone's movement,
knowing that we were all there
for each other is amazing,
is a really good feeling.
