Nézzük meg, hogy a 0,36-ot fel tudnánk-e írni törtszámként!

Számos módon megcsinálhatjuk ezt. Ahogy én szeretem az az, hogy azt mondjuk

0,36 az ugyanaz, mint 36 század. Vagy, az egyik gondolatmenet szerint

ez itt a századok helyén áll...

Ez itt a tízesek helyén áll, tehát úgy is tekinthetünk erre, mint 30 századra. Szóval 3 tizedként, vagy 30 századként is tekinthetünk rá.

Így tehát azt mondhatjuk, hogy ez egyenlő 36 századdal vagy ez egyezik 36 osztva 100-zal.

Ezzel már gyakorlatilag ki is fejeztük a számot törtként, de még igazából egyszerűsíthetjük is, mert a 36 és 100 rendelkezik közös osztóval.

Mindkét szám osztható 4-gyel, szóval ha a számlálót elosztjuk 4-gyel és a neveztőt is (mindkét számmal ugyanazt tesszük, így nem változhat a tört értéke)

36 osztva 4-gyel az 9. És aztán 100 osztva 4-gyel az 25.

Így most már nagyon úgy tűnik, hogy nincs több közös osztójuk

így akkor már le is írtuk az egyszerűsített formát. És készen is vagyunk!
