ICE FISHING FOR GIANT PIKE – Can I catch them?

It's a special feeling to fish for pike
on the ice

and I love it

A small bell on the whip

and when the pike bite the roach
you can hear that sound

You never know if it's a small fish
or an enourmous pike

FISH!

2 days of ice fishing

WIth 2 different friends

First day is with Steffen on a huge lake
with clear water

the second day I'll replace Steffen
with Niclas Edström

We're gonna fish
in a completely different lake

a very shallow lake with
a lot of lily pads

more pikes and also some really big pike

I can hear the bell

During these 2 days we're gonna grind

and do our best to catch a nice pike

But we're gonna enjoy the fishing
and we're gonna cook

a special meal over open fire

But first we'll read some of your comments

August work as a school teacher

and that's why he can't tag along so often

First day

Me and Steffen need to get to our
spot as quick as possible

I'ven been driving 2 hours this morning
just to get here

You want to have the rods out just
when the sun is about to rise

and we're a bit late

but we keep on going

This is my home waters

I know from experience that there are
some really big pikes here

now we just need to hurry up to the spot
and get the rods out fishing

And hope that we can catch
a big one today

warning for pigs today

this looks good

we're gonna have our camp
here at a deep edge down to 9 meter

we put out a lot of rods here and
hope to get some pikes

I don't think we're gonna get so much
fish today but when we do

It's probably a decent fish

First one for the day

It took some line

No it spat it out

He stole the roach

It was a fish on, he stole the roach

But at least we know
we're at the right spot

we're a bit late

But if we hurry we might get
a strike soon again

all the rods are set and fishing

now we just have to sit here and wait

I don't think we're gonna get a lot
of fish today but the ones we do

have a chance of being really big

and that pike shall be this big
between the eyes

a small one but it's the first fish

aparantly the small ones

let's hope we're in a striking period now

that wasn't the biggest fish
but a fish is always a fish

Tobbe was just saying how hungry he was

The pikes was apparently hungry aswell

so at least we caught a small pike

let's hope for bigger ones now

It's really slippery here

watch out

When you're ice fishing for big pike
it might take a while

You need to make the best out of the time
and cook a really nice meal

I'm gonna make a staniol package
with some self caught cod

from Norway with Catch fishing trips

I'm gonna cook the cod over open fire

But before I'm gonna prep all the
ingredients we have a collab

We've done so many catch and cook

Or when I was younger I had a
lurebox that you could unfold

I had a Moraknife like this back then

They have all different kind of knives

This particular one is floating

It's great when fishing from a boat

The cork handle will make it float

a great allround knife

They also sent us a filet knife

It's called companion fishing filet

It's great to bring on a fishing trip
