heading to the Haneda Airport

Even it's a weekday night,

Many travelers, too.

Today, 9:00 p.m. Mid of July.
Temperature is 27°C.

That's the central gate of Tokyo Station.

Usually it opens, but already closed.

So during the nighttime, we need
to use the different gate.

So today, we are planning to stay
overnight in the airport.

And I will show you guys

what kind of stores and restaurant
opens in the airport.

Hopefully, we can see the
sunrise from there, too.

For the Haneda International Airport,

there are so many early morning flight,
and also, the midnight flight.

And also, some people need
to stay over there

for the transferring the airplane, too.

So hopefully, this video will help
for your next Japan trip.

So firstly, let me show you guys how to
get to the airport from Tokyo Station.

We will use the JR Line first.

In the Tokyo Station, around this time
on the weekday,

there are so many salaryman
just finish work

and going back to their home.

It is crowded, but not as bad
as on the weekend.

Firstly, we are heading to the
Hamamatsucho Station.

We will use the JR Yamanote Line.

It's three stations away.

Ffrom Tokyo Station to Hamamatsucho
Station, it only takes 6 minutes.

So, it's pretty close.

Seems like Yamanote Loop Line,
it's not crowded at all.

During the rush hour time,
it is super crowded though.

There is a map. And also, it shows
how many minutes it will take.

So, we are heading to the
Hamamatsucho Station.

It's only 6 minutes.

From Hamamatsucho Station,
we will take the monorail.

There is a sign, so probably
you don't get lost.

Yep. For Haneda Airport.

So, you can just follow the sign
and change the train.

There is the entrance that you can
directly transfer to the monorail.

If you are heading to the Tokyo Tower

and you want to get out from the station,

this is not the place,
so you got to be careful.

From Tokyo Station to Hamamatsucho
Station, it takes 167 Japanese yen.

There are several trains in an hour.
About one train in 10 minutes.

Seems like inside the train,
it is not that crowded.

Speaking about the monorail,

there are many places that
you can store the luggages.

So, even you have a big luggage,
you don't have to worry that much.

Because it's already late nighttime,
there are so many empty seats.

Probably other direction will be
crowded though.

We arrived to Haneda Airport Terminal 3.

If you are using the international flight,

this is the station that
you want to take off.

But firstly, we are going to
check the Terminal 1 & 2,

which is the domestic flight terminal.

Finally, we arrived to the
Haneda Airport Terminal 1.

So, Terminal 1 is the JAL side.

So, if you are using the JAL airplane,
this is the place that you need to come.

If you are using the Terminal 2,
you can just keep riding the train.

However, it is a walking distance though.

From Hamamatsucho Station to Haneda
Airport, it cost 519 Japanese yen.

One thing we have to be careful is that

the Terminal 1 & 2,
it is closing at midnight.

It's already 10: p.m.
Bank ATM is still open.

However, the stores is already closing.

I'm wondering how about the other stores.

Oh, so the souvenir shop is
closing as well.

Currency exchange is closing, too. I see.

Oh! However...

There's an interesting vending machine.

It is a "Sky Dining in the World."

They have the airplane food.

You can buy it with 1,080 Japanese yen.

They have the French airplane food.

And also, the Singapore.

Plus Spain. And United States and Japan.

Also, French and Italy.

Maybe we can get it for
the midnight snack.

Konbini FamilyMart is still opening.

However, seems like many restaurant
is closing, too, though.

There is a restaurant street over here,
but it's also closing, too.

How about in the upstairs?

Now, we are at the departure floor.

Oh, wow...

It is the empty airport.

I remember the time during the pandemic.

I'm wondering...
There is a department area.

I believe it's closing many stores,
but still, can we enter?

Let's walk there.

Already, all of the
flights are departured.

That's why it becomes the empty terminal.

So, here we go.

We are at the Market Place.

Oh, there is a Ultraman over here.

Can we go to the upstairs
observatory deck?

And also, the vending machine is
closed as well.

Let's go to check the observatory deck.

It's totally weird feeling.

So, the observation deck is
closed at 10:00 p.m.

And it's already 10:16. That's why.

Well, Terminal 1 close at midnight.

So, maybe no wonder they close the
observation deck at 10:00 p.m.

I'm wondering how about
the Terminal 2 & 3.

Terminal 3 opens 24 hours.

So, maybe the observation deck is
available even in the midnight.

Let's go to the Terminal 1.

Well, no more stores is opening,
so not many things to see.

But it is very interesting though.

However, seems like there are still

many flights are coming to
this airport, too, though.

In Terminal 1, if you want to stay
in the capsule hotel,

there is a First Cabin capsule hotel.

I heard it is a nice hotel.

About the night cost
8,000 Japanese yen.

And room, they have a bigger one
and a small one, too.

There is Wi-Fi and the working space.
Also, the spa.

I believe it's a small one though.

It's a nice capsule hotel.

But one thing you have to be careful is
that it is located in Terminal 1.

So, if you have the like
super early morning flight,

you need to get out from the Terminal 1,

and take a bus going to Terminal 3
and take the airplane.

Around this area will be closed down.

However, they have the special gate.

And maybe you can take
the shuttle or taxi.

Definitely, it is a very
useful option, too,

if you want to spend money,
and if you want to sleep in the bed.

Now, we are heading to Terminal 2.

Speaking of the location,

Terminal 2 and Terminal 1,
it is a walking distance.

However, if you are heading
to the Terminal 3,

definitely, you need to take
the shuttle though.

That is too far for walking

If you are heading to the
Terminal 2 from Terminal 1,

first, you just need to
go back to the station.

This is the station of Keikyu Line.

And there is the passage to Terminal 2.

Today, I was thinking to stay
in that capsule hotel.

However, the earliest time of the
shuttle is starting from 4:30 a.m.

which is still Terminal 1 & 2 is closing.

Also, today's sunrise time is
4:30 a.m. as well.

So, I believe if I stay there,
we can't catch the sunrise.

That's what I thought.

Also, I can show you the midnight
atmosphere of Terminal 3.

I think it would be more fun
to show you guys

the Terminal 3's atmosphere
after the last train.

So, that's why today I decide to
stay in the Terminal 3.

Here we go.

We just arrived to the Terminal 2.

In Terminal 2, I believe it will be
pretty similar atmosphere.

Terminal 1 was the JAL side.

And Terminal 2 is the ANA side.

In Terminal 2, there is the
international flight, too.

So some of them maybe use
the Terminal 2, too.

Even it's the international flight.

Oh... Okay.

So, since this is the Lawson,
which is the convenience store,

even they have the souvenirs.

Still, it's opening, too.

Haha, there is a Tokyo Banana
KitKat as well.

So, if you arrive late in the
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

and want to buy the souvenir, yes,
still, there are some options.

But it is located in Terminal 2 though.
Air Lawson.

Oh! This Terminal 2 side,
there are more options.

In Terminal 1, most of the
restaurant was closing.

Pretty much all the restaurants, huh.

But here, still, McDonald's is
open until 10:45 p.m.

And also, Marukame Seimen is open, too.

Oh, wait. Never mind.
I believe it is closing.

Maybe we can find more restaurants and
store is opening in Terminal 2.

escalator is closing though.

that area is closing.

So, let's go to the domestic arrival area.

many people around here.

This is the arrival floor, so maybe
they are just arrived to the airport.

Or they are waiting someone to arrive.

Oh, in the Terminal 2, too, we can find
"Sky Dining in the World" vending machine.

So, probably we can find it
in the Terminal 3 as well.

vending machine as well.

Price is 1,200 Japanese yen,
so this one is more expensive.

vending machine restaurant.

in Japanese called "jihanki."

to the regular ramen shop.

serving in the ramen restaurant.

Speaking of the bus leaving
from this Terminal 2,

going to Shinjuku,
the last bus is 11:30 p.m.

And going to Ikebukuro, it's 12:05 a.m.

Last train is about before the midnight,
too, so it is pretty similar time.

of the observation deck.

still use this elevator.

We can't go in up observation deck.
This place, also, until 10:00 p.m.

There's a free shuttle bus terminal
to Terminal 3.

By the way, I'm a little bit
getting sleepy.

So, if you are heading to the Terminal 3,

free shuttle is leaving from bus stop 9.

There is a color, so probably
you can find it easily.

Probably, the shuttle is not
that crowded though.

It's almost midnight.

In the midnight, this place
will be closing.

Okay... This must be the place.

But seems like no one is waiting.

So, seems like the bus is almost coming.

To the Terminal 3, it takes 9 minutes.

Oh, the free shuttle bus run every
4 minutes from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

But after, that there are, you know,
several bus in an hour.

Well, that's a lot though.

And here we go.

Yep, this must be the one.

Even in the midnight, still, there are
many people riding in the bus.

"Next, we will stop at Terminal 1."

Now, we arrived to Terminal 3.

Since it opens 24 hours,
this place, more people.

According to the internet,

this place is the most popular
place to sleep.

Because there is a Lawson there.

Seems like already, many people
sleeping over here.

This konbini open 24 hours.

Let me get ice caffé latte.

Oh, they have the Mount Fuji soda.

That's okay. I need caffeine.

Oh! They have the Mount Fuji curry, too!

however if you take a taxi from airport to Shinjuku,

so if you take a bus to going to Shinjuku and take a taxi,

that would be much cheaper

there is a nice small Japanese garden over here

I have visited this Spa before

it was a nice onsen. And also, nice steam room as well.

and there are small restaurant that you can eat and drink

speaking of the sleeping area there are reclining sofa.

But it is not private.

so if you want to have the quiet place to sleep,

probably, the capsule hotel would be better

however if you want to stay
in the spa, you like onsen,

probably this place could be the option as well

because the prices are similar

and of course, if you don't mind to pay,
the hotel would be the best.

now let's going back to the terminal

it is a nice area but you cannot lie down and sleep

so that's why there are much fewer people compared to the airport area

now we are heading to the departure floor

by the way it's 1:40 3 hours to go

let's going up.

now we are at the main area of the airport

compared to the noontime it is darker and quiet

but still there are so many people here

how about in the shopping street
and the small Nihonbashi?

however after they close,

they open the space so that we can sleep as well

there is an onigiri restaurant here
and other restaurant, too.

but those areas are closing now

oh this under the bridge place, it is quiet and dark

so one of the perfect place to sleep as well

no availability though

and now we are at the fast food area

One good news: We have Yoshinoya,
and it opens for 24 hours.

Even in the airport, beef bowl starting
from 500 Japanese yen.

so it would be the perfect nighttime snack

on the weekend, MOS Burger is opening as well

but today since it's the week day it is closing

let's go to the small NIhonbashi.

this is my favorite spot in Hana airport

it is very beautiful

and also we can look down the airport as well

well as you guys know I am not the morning person

I'm a night owl.

But 2:00 a.m. already, I am sleepy.

we are almost at the observation deck

one amazing thing is that

maybe there are more people compared
to the noontime around this area

so many people here

most of the places are taken

so I think the first floor in front of Lawson,

that would be the best place to sleep

hopefully still there are available seats though

so we came back to the first floor

but seems like most of the seats are taken though already

maybe we can't find a place to lie down

probably you can sleep in the airport too

but uh you know if you are not really a good sleeper like me

probably, you'd better get the hotel. Yup.

anyways it's almost 4:00 a.m.

it's almost time of the sunrise

and this observation deck is open now

morning in the airport, it's pretty early, huh

so, the monorail starting train, it's from 5:18 a.m.

if you are going to the town from the airport,

there are two ways

one is monorail, and the other one
is the Keikyu Line.

but today we are using the monor rail

that's a train going to the terminal number one

for going back to the main part of Tokyo,

you need to take the train from terminal--

sorry it's not terminal.

you need to take the train from platform number two

it's the first train so might be crowded

I'm not sure. let's see

I'm planning to visit there too

after arrived to the Hamamatsucho station,

now we are changing to the Jr line

this is exactly the same way that we used

this is the entrance transferring to the JR Line.

we will use the yamot line from truck number two

this Keihin-Tohoku Line from truck number one also going to the Tokyo Station as well

so whichever faster one you can take the train.

in Tokyo Station even from the 6:00 a.m. already it's a little bit crowded.

in Tokyo Station, still many stores are closing.

but some store is already opening too

and I don't know how to call it in English

but in Japanese, "puteranodon."

And "tiranosaurusu."

this Station restaurant street is also still closing

well it's still before 6:00 a.m. so makes sense though.

that last night when we came here,

there were so many salarymen.

but it's pretty empty right now

this place will be super crowded by salaryman soon though

seems like people are trying to catch the train

already many people arrive to Tokyo station for work as well

let's go to the Marunouchi square

oh yeah. Still, no Travelers at all

it's much easier to take a photo huh

today it's a little bit cloudy

however if it's not cloudy you can take a photo

as beautiful as the noon time.

plenty of seats are available here too

all right hope you could see how the hanada airport looks like in the midnight

there are plenty of places that you can sleep

and also the atmosphere was pretty nice as well

I thought it could be a little bit quiet

and feels like a little bit dangerous

but actually it was much better atmosphere

so if you have a pretty late flight,

and you have to stay in the airport,

or you have a very early morning morning flight

that you have to wait in the airport

you don't have to worry that much
