Let us begin this prayer with appreciation.

I want you to think about five things from 2024 that you want to give thanks to God for.

Appreciate God. Just think about that right now.

Five things in your life that you want to acknowledge God's goodness for.

It could be in any area.

Just begin to mention it right now and appreciate God.

You know, there is power in appreciation.

The power of appreciation is not that it denies your current situation,

but it causes you to view it from the perspective of God's faithfulness.

And if God has done it before, He will do it again.

Right now, just begin to reflect on what God has done for you in 2024.

Think about five things at least!

I know there are more.

I want you to think of at least five things and begin to give thanks to God for that.

Open your lips and acknowledge God's goodness.

Acknowledge God's faithfulness.

Declare God's faithfulness.

Thank Him for what He has done.

Take the time. Reflect back.

Think of God's track record in your life - that time He protected you,

that time He preserved you, that time He rescued you,

that time He healed you, that time He delivered you,

that time He provided for you, that time He prevented you

from being implicated in a situation you knew nothing about,

that relationship issue that was settled, that time He prevented you

from taking a very disastrous step that would have affected your life negatively.

Just thank Him right now.

People of God, continue to give thanks.

A million thanks are not enough for what Jesus Christ has done

for us, in us and through us.

Let us continue to give thanks.

Right now, I want you specifically to give thanks to God

in anticipation for what He is about to do in your life in 2025.

We know He is faithful to fulfil His promises.

Give thanks to God right now in expectation, anticipation

of what He's about to do in your life in this year ahead.

Give thanks to Him.

Once again, the beauty of appreciation is that it redirects our attention to God,

the Beginning and the End, the One who has the final say,

the One who holds all hearts in His hands.

There is no situation God cannot turn around.

There is no position God cannot intervene in.

As you appreciate Him, it helps you to see your current challenge in the right perspective,

from the perspective of God's faithfulness, God's goodness, God’s grace.

Continue giving thanks to God right now specifically thanking Him in anticipation

of what He is about to do in your life in this year to come.

Let me remind you of the words of Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. He says,

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

and for all He is about to do in 2025.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray.

People of God, I want you right now to turn in your Bible to Psalm 51.

It is a well-known Psalm of David in which he pleads to God for mercy,

recognising his position as a sinner in need of forgiveness.

As I read this Psalm, I want you to insert your own name where the message is personal

because all of us stand in helpless need of God’s divine forgiveness,

of His mercy, of His favour - all of us.

People of God, don't look at the person next to you.

This is between you and God.

Don't look at the person on the screen.

This is between you and God.

It is time right now to acknowledge our position as sinners in need of His mercy.

Let me read this Psalm.

“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;

According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight -

that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,

and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

If you want to be on your knees, you can.

But most importantly, be on your knees in your heart.

Humble yourself and ask God right now for mercy.

Acknowledge your sins, confess your sins, and ask God for mercy.

Ask Jesus Christ to wash you whiter than snow with His precious blood.

Once you identify that area, you are on the path towards victory.

Now, there needs to be a change.

but He will not come down from Heaven and do for you what you must do yourself.

The Holy Spirit awakens our conscience to repentance.

We need to see life the way He sees it.

We need to see ourselves the way He sees us.

We need to see others the way He sees them.

Ask the Holy Spirit right now to help you identify those areas you need to change.

Continue people of God in this attitude of prayer.

Whether you're on your knees or on your feet, what matters is the position of your hearts -

a position of submission, a position of recognition of God's supremacy,

God’s authority and how much we need Him.

a year of relocation from where you are to where God wants you to be.

I repeat. If you are not where God wants you to be,

if you are not working in a job in line with your calling, in line with your destiny,

in line with the passion that God has placed in your heart,

2025 will be a year of relocation

from where you are to where God wants you to be.

Even if you have to go through a little discomfort to get to your destined job,

be prepared for it in this year to come.

Ask Him right now, if you are not where He wants you to be, to relocate you.

If you are not where God wants you to be,

if you are not working in the place where He wants you to work,

ask Him right now to relocate you.

Don't be surprised if circumstances beyond your control

come and interfere with your working arrangements.

It is a sign of relocation.

It is a sign of preparation.

We cannot continue to simply work for the sake of mere material resources.

No, we must work in line with our calling.

We must work in line with what God has promised and purposed for us.

If need be, let 2025 be a year of relocation

from where you are to where He wants you to be.

I also know there are some connected right now who have been experiencing

a spirit of lethargy, tiredness, fatigue when it comes to our work.

We are discouraged due to delays in promotion

and we find ourselves losing interest in what we are doing. No!

Ask God to renew your strength to do your work with excellence.

Offer that prayer right now.

Look, when you work with excellence, you are doing it unto the glory of God.

He is your Rewarder.

Don't fall into the trap of the devil to feel discouraged

that you continue to do your work with excellence.

Whatever job God has opened the door for you to be working at right now,

you are there as an ambassador of Him.

People of God, don't fall into the trap of lethargy. Don't become tired.

Don't become overwhelmed by stress at your workplace

that you lose out on divine rest.

Ask God to renew your strength.

Oh Holy Spirit, renew my strength.

that I may continue my work with diligence, with excellence.

There are some of us connected who are still entangled

in a relationship that is based on manipulation,

fuelled by the flesh - ungodly relationships.

People of God, you cannot afford to enter 2025 still entangled in these ungodly relationships.

Right now, ask God to help you disconnect from every relationship

based on manipulation, based on domination, fuelled by the flesh.

Ask God to help you disconnect from that relationship -

that ungodly friendship, that ungodly association,

that ungodly companionship that is affecting you spiritually in a negative manner.

Ask God to help you disconnect from that relationship.

Ask God to help you right now.

You make a decision to disconnect and the Spirit of God is there to strengthen you

to help you back up your decision with action.

You know that relationship.

You know that companion.

2025 is not a year to remain entangled in these ungodly associations.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray.

I know for everyone who is connected here,

there is someone or some people in your heart whose situation concerns you.

It could be a friend.

It could be a family member.

It could be someone you don't even know personally.

But God has put it in your heart to intercede for them.

pressure and tension of society.
