-
Who from this place has needs?
-
All of us have, because we were created in this way, so we may depend on God!
-
From the Book of Matthew 6 and Psalm 37, we understand that our Father from Heaven is deeply committed to sustain His children in all they need
-
even before we may ask, He already knows what we need.
-
The Bible doesn't mention in that passage that He is willing to give what we desire, but what we need.
-
Knowing this truth, that we are more valuable than birds, that even the hair from our head is numbered, and that Our Father is a good Father providing fo our needs,
-
still within us, in our human-fallen nature, we have this predisposition to seek and grab His hand beyond our needs in order to receive what we want.
-
But we fail to do something....
-
When is God willing to grant you your heart's desires?
-
The Word of God answers very clearly in Psalm 37, " Make God your delight and He will give your heart's desire!"
-
Because we easily remove ourselves from our prayer requests for our needs, and we migrate into the area of self-desire requests
-
without making Christ our heart's desire, then our approach to God and prayers to Him are offered from selfish, classical,l and material reasons.
-
I want a blessing from God but not from pure and right motivation; I want the blessing because I want it.
-
What should we learn and know at this point?
-
Stop feeding a selfish, classic, material, and unholy approach to God, without Him being our heart's delight.
-
If we continue to take this wrong approach towards Him, our expectation will grow bigger and bigger, yet our role we didn't play
-
and His word states, "a postpened answer makes our heart to be sick!"
-
Meaning your faith and your heart will suffer.
-
Yes, God promised to protect you, He promised you will have your daily bread.
-
God promised to give you His Spirit, His Word to sustain you spiritually, wisdom when you ask
-
but if you ask things and have desires that are greater than your needs, without having Him your heart's delight
-
this shows that you feed prayers, requests, and an approach to God from selfish, classic and materials reasons.
-
If you feed this selfish christian life, do you believe that your spiritual life will grow while praying like this?
-
In order not to pray in this way and approach God wrong and selfish way, from today on, as you stand before God Almighty with your prayer,
-
stop praying for your desires and pray in this way: "Lord, take more of me from my weakness and give me more from your grace!"
-
Pray to God for those who are sick, poor, and challenged, and ask God to heal them, bless them, and intervene for them. Don't focus on yourself only at prayers...
-
Walk and live even if you face the same problems, from the mindset of Christ not from the defeated one.
-
"Let the weak say I am strong in the Lord!"
-
"Let the poor say I am blessed!"
-
"Let the sick say I am healed!"
-
"Let the oppressed say I am free, in Jesus' Name!"
-
That's why some believers receive and others don't receive what they want, because there is a place where faith stands - delight in the Lord!
