-
- Hello, and welcome back,
my beautiful Froggy Army, to another video.
-
We Are Back for another installment of me
playing cute, fun, indie games here on the channel.
-
And I'm very excited for today's game, you guys.
-
Today we're checking out Little Sim World,
-
which is a 2D casual life sim game
set in a miniature version of London.
-
This is a very nice looking indie game
-
that was actually being
developed for six whole years,
-
and it's now finally gonna
be in early access on Steam.
-
And I actually wanna give a big thank you
-
to the Little Sim World team
for sponsoring this video
-
and for allowing me to share
this game with you guys.
-
I very highly recommend wishlisting
Little Sim World on Steam,
-
that way you can follow along
with the game's journey.
-
But I think without further ado,
let's go ahead and get into the game
-
so I can show you what Little Sim World is all about.
-
Here we are in my favorite
way to start off a game,
-
which is customizing your character.
-
Oh, yes, there is lots of customization in this game
-
from your house, your character, to your clothes.
-
So I'm so excited to get into it.
-
Okay, we have a lots of
fun hairs to choose from.
-
I actually do like this default one,
or this one's kinda cute.
-
Ooh, we could go a little bit longer.
-
Or we have some cute little buns.
I like the buns.
-
I think let's go with the buns.
-
And I love to make my hair green
when I'm making a character.
-
Let's give ourselves some little blushies.
I love that.
-
These eyes are pretty cute.
I'm gonna go with those.
-
Let's check out the mouths.
-
I know I'm grimacing right now,
but I think I want a nice smile.
-
That one's really cute.
Let's go with that one.
-
All right, let's go ahead
and move on to wardrobe. Ooh!
-
(gasps)
-
Oh my gosh.
Yes.
-
Well, you know, I have to choose this obviously.
-
And I think because we have green hair,
we're gonna go with a yellow hat.
-
Alright, here's the rest of my outfit.
-
I think it's pretty cute.
So let's move on to our identity.
-
Let's do Raven as my first name.
-
My last name is gonna be Crossing, you know,
Froggycrossing, Raven Crossing.
-
Okay, here we are.
"Huh? So this is my new home."
-
We got a phone call from Uncle George. Hello.
-
"Hey, Raven. Did you arrive all right?
Hope the trip wasn't too bumpy.
-
Har har har.
-
I've stashed the house keys in the mailbox for you.
-
Snatch 'em and get cozy
'cause the house is all yours.
-
By the way, I've pinged you an
assignment on the Quest app.
-
It should help in providing some guidance,
you know, things to do and all that."
-
All right, let's grab these keys.
-
All right, let's check out this house.
Okay. Okay.
-
We can do some changes in here.
-
Yeah, we can fix this up a bit.
-
All right, let's go into build mode.
-
And we've got ourselves a
little shabby work bench,
-
so let's find a good spot for that.
-
I think in this room up here.
That looks good.
-
Let's get to crafting
with this work bench,
-
we can make ourselves
a little dining chair.
-
Okay, let's go ahead and put down
our chair that we worked so hard on.
-
This table needs a chair,
-
so I think it's the obvious choice.
-
There we go.
-
All right.
We've got Uncle George on the phone again.
-
"Almost slipped my mind,
-
but there's a bit of business
with some bills left to sort.
-
Nothing to lose sleep over.
Just a few Crowns to keep the lights on.
-
I flicked a few your way just
to grease the wheels a bit.
-
It's what uncles are for, of course.
-
But the next ones are all on you."
-
Oh, no.
I think we could manage.
-
Okay, we gotta pay the
bills at the post office.
-
So here's our map.
-
Let's find the post office right here, Royal Snail.
-
So we'll mark this,
-
and now we've got this helpful
marker up here to guide us.
-
So let's make our way.
-
Okay, here we are.
We made it. Hello?
-
What's up?
I have a bill to pay, if you don't mind.
-
Oh my gosh. Look at this full art of the NPCs.
I love it.
-
"Here at Royal Snail, we pride ourselves in our complicated,
inefficient, and convoluted mail service."
-
Incredible.
Okay, let's pay these bills.
-
We've got electricity, water,
heating, internet, healthcare,
-
and processing fee, but it's waived.
-
Thank you.
-
I have enough to pay this, so let's go ahead and pay.
-
"You need to eat to stay
healthy and in shape.
-
If you neglect your hunger,
it will eventually impact your health negatively."
-
Oh, and we do have our
hunger meter down here.
-
Oh my gosh, 50%?
Let's go ahead and make that toast.
-
I love a good buttered toast.
So delicious.
-
Look at our XP go!
Yes! Cooking XP.
-
All right, let's eat our toast.
-
Mm. Yum.
-
Now let's sip, sip on some water because that toast,
-
it had some butter, but it was a little dry,
so we need some water.
-
And of course, we just drink some water.
-
So now we gotta take a little tinkle.
-
I would love to clean this toilet first.
Can we do that?
-
Yes. Thank you.
Because it's looking a little rough.
-
I don't know when the last time
somebody has cleaned this was.
-
And now we can use it.
-
Oh, yep.
Privacy please. Privacy please.
-
Lots of things to be keeping up with here.
-
But oh, I am so sorry.
I didn't wash my hands.
-
Oh my goodness, that's so embarrassing.
-
Let's go ahead and wash our hands after that.
-
Silly me. Silly me.
-
Okay, I'm kind of tired from all of that.
-
So let's take a little bit of a nap,
change into our nice little PJs.
-
'Cause now we also have
energy and also health.
-
We just gotta keep up with all of these.
No big deal, guys.
-
No big deal.
-
"Hello, Raven.
-
You've settled in now, haven't you, kid?
Good. Listen.
-
Just letting you know there's a pal of mine
over there that always needed some help.
-
Maybe he's got some work for you?
It could do you well.
-
Hope you get a feel for the locals.
-
The people here are a quirky
bunch, let me tell you.
-
But they're good people.
Lots of passion in 'em.
-
You'll see for yourself soon enough.
-
Helping some of them out
is the best way to start mixing in.
-
So head off to the pub
where my pal Simon works at."
-
All right, so we gotta go to the pub,
but I do have this effect over here.
-
Pigsty.
There are so many icky things around.
-
How can someone live like this?
-
Yikes. Um... Let's see.
What could we clean?
-
Is there anything we could
clean to maybe make this better?
-
Definitely the sink, it's looking a little, little crusty.
-
Can we clean the shower?
This needs, this needs a scrub.
-
This needs a scrub.
-
Okay, that worked.
-
The clean place, fresh smell
makes you feel cozy.
-
Perfect. Awesome.
Alright, let's head to the pub.
-
Here is the pub right here.
-
Okay, that should be a pretty quick walk.
-
Okay, hello! I'm here to work.
What's up? Hey, Simon.
-
"Hello. Top of the morning to ya, mate.
I'm Simon. I'll be serving you.
-
Hang on.
Do you happen to be the newcomer?
-
Ol' Georgie told us someone new
was gonna move in to his gaff.
-
If you don't mind, would you be a dear
and fetch the groceries for me?
-
You just need to head over
to Let'sGo Grocery Shop.
-
It'll only be a quick jog away."
No worries. I'm on it.
-
Let's go get those groceries.
-
What exactly did we need again?
I'm not sure.
-
Let's go ahead and talk.
Maybe you can help me.
-
Hi, Yuna.
"Welcome to Let'sGo Market. I'm Yuna.
-
How can I help you find something that you probably already saw
-
but immediately forgot about?"
-
I just need to know what to buy, is that okay?
For Simon?
-
She's real feisty.
She's real feisty. Oh my gosh.
-
Oh my gosh. (laughs)
-
"Here are his groceries.
-
He's lucky I won't bill him extra for the delay.
Is that it?"
-
Yeah, that's it. That's it.
I'm gonna leave now.
-
Well, actually, maybe I'll
just buy a few snacks.
-
There's some gummy bears.
I wanna get some of those.
-
All right. Here's our basket.
-
A nice little $12.
That sounds good.
-
Okay, back to the pub.
Hello, Simon.
-
I have your groceries.
Here you go.
-
Now he's asking can I deliver
one more food box to the museum?
-
Sure. I'll do that for you.
No problem.
-
Look at this museum!
-
Oh my gosh, fancy.
All right, I'm coming in.
-
I have some deliveries for you, so here you go.
-
"Oh my. My food, for me!
-
Well, if you aren't just on time.
-
I'm rather peckish, so your punctuality
is tenfold more appreciated now."
-
You're welcome.
All in a day's work.
-
Okay. It's already nighttime.
-
And I'm heading to the
docks for my next quest,
-
but we also have this button
up here called Yapper.
-
And this is sending me right now.
-
I guess it's supposed to be, like, our social media.
-
"Just found out that the world
doesn't revolve around me.
-
Shocked and upset."
Honestly, felt. Retweet.
-
Actually, I think I have
to make a pit stop home
-
because oh my gosh, I need a shower.
-
I need a shower so bad.
And I'm also cold.
-
So let's head back in here.
Let's take a little shower.
-
Nice warm shower, hot shower.
There we go.
-
And I am getting kinda sleepy,
so let's just take a little nap.
-
We'll sleep until 6:30 in the morning.
That sounds good.
-
Rise and shine!
All right, we're up out of bed.
-
Anyways, we have our mission today.
Headin' the docks. Let's go.
-
Oh, there's a new Yap.
Let's see.
-
"Girl, he just ate the last slice
without asking if I wanted it. Red flag??
-
Honestly. Yeah.
Honestly. Yeah.
-
Okay. We made it. We made it.
Hello? Are we gonna go fishing?
-
"Here's a fishing rod.
Go face these beasts head on
-
and let them snatch your bait like the fools they are.
-
Now, the fish aren't the smartest
when it comes to hiding.
-
You see the ripples in
the water, don't you?
-
That's where you cast your trusty hook.
-
Now all that's left is line and sinker."
Okay, here we go.
-
Let's fish! Let's fish!
Oh, oh, oh. Do we get one?
-
We got one!
-
Oh my gosh.
-
I got a cod.
-
All right, now we gotta take it to Simon,
-
and we gotta hurry because the fish
is stinking up our pockets.
-
Okay, I hope Simon doesn't mind me
stinking up the bar with my fishy smell.
-
Here you go. I have your fish.
-
Well, even though I got rid of
the fish, I am still smelly.
-
So let's head back home.
-
I've got some needs to
take care of anyways.
-
Oh, that car almost ran me over.
-
All right, let's hop back
in that shower again.
-
Okay, the stinkiness is still... still on me.
-
I'm gonna need to wash
my clothes, I guess.
-
So let's do that.
-
Okay, my skirt, my shoes, and my shirt are dirty.
-
Let's give those a wash.
-
Okay.
My clothes are done washing.
-
It only took almost the entire day,
-
but let's get our clean clothes.
-
Be nice and clean and refreshed
and no, no more stinky.
-
No more stinky.
-
All right, we've got Simon's ripped pants
we're delivering to the clothing store.
-
Here you go.
-
"I'd recognize those pants anywhere.
-
What are you doing with Simon's pantalon,
mon ami?
-
Ah. So you're just giving him a hand
'cause he is occupied man dieu.
-
I see that man does put
in work into his place.
-
Worry not, mon ami?
This will be fixed in no time.
-
Do remind him to take
good care of my gifts.
-
I hope he recalls that I
don't do this for just anyone.
-
He's lucky. I find that relaxed
attitude of his charming.
-
Now, regarding you in this
poor excuse for an outfit,
-
do you have anything else to wear?
-
Or is looking into a mirror too much
of a leap for your eyes to take?" (Raven laughing)
-
Oh my goodness.
-
The dialogue on these NPCs
is actually hilarious. (laughing)
-
"This could only be the
symptom of poor taste
-
or an empty wardrobe, and
neither is a valid excuse.
-
I can do nothing for your lacking taste,
-
but I'll help a friend of
Simon's with their apparel."
-
Well, thank you.
That's so kind of you. (laughs)
-
"It is my duty to prohibit you from going
back out into the world looking like that.
-
Run along now, mon cheri.
You can thank me later."
-
Okay. Okay then. Sure.
-
I will buy something just
to please you, I suppose.
-
Why don't I get some new shoes? Why not?
-
Let's just get these cuties. There we go.
-
Okay, let's put on our new shoes
now that we're here at home.
-
Nice. Nice.
Oh, how fancy. How fancy.
-
And I've got a package in the mail?!
-
Ah! My favorite feeling ever.
-
But, okay, my package had some furniture stuff
in here that I had bought.
-
So let's go ahead and do it.
-
I bought these clay bricks that we can use
for the outside of the house.
-
Oh no, we have to pay monies.
-
Hmm.
-
Well, we'll do a small section. I guess.
-
I've got this cute little potted plant.
-
I would like to place this somewhere.
-
Hmm. Where should we put it?
-
I guess right here looks good.
-
That's nice.
-
Okay, I kinda spent the rest of my money
putting brick outside of the front of my house.
-
Whoopsies.
Ooh! Little juice stand.
-
I would love to buy something here.
What can I have?
-
Oh my gosh, these look so good.
-
(gasps) Mango smoothie?!
Gimme that.
-
Frog hat.
Drinking a mango smoothie.
-
What else could I ask for?
Seriously?
-
But okay, I think I'm gonna end it here.
-
And I hope that you enjoyed this first
little look at Little Sim World.
-
There's so much more to do
that I didn't even have time to cover.
-
Like the university, there's actually degrees
and classes that you can take,
-
so I'm so excited to get into that.
-
Not to mention amongst all the quests and storylines,
-
some of the NPCs are also romanceable.
-
So we'll see who Raven Crossing ends up with.
-
But if you enjoyed
watching me play this game
-
and you want to play it yourself,
don't forget to wishlist it on Steam.
-
And thank you so much to the Little Sim World team
for sponsoring today's video.
-
I really hope that you guys enjoyed.
-
Thank you so, so much for watching,
and I will see you in the next one.
-
(calm music)
