How old are you?

I'm 14 years old.

How old were you

when you started painting?

I was 13 when I started painting.

I got inspired to start painting

when I did my first piece

and I saw that God had given me a talent.

So I knew when God gives you a talent,

you should use it to carry out his will.

A typical day in my life is

I get up.

I have a daily devotion,

and I eat breakfast.

Sometimes I start doing school work

or I paint and then do school work later.

And then eat lunch.

Eat supper then go to bed.

Where do you go to school?

I'm homeschooled.

My inspiration comes from many places.

I get it from my Dad,

who himself is an artist.

I get it from God,

and everyone in my family.

I noticed the painting here behind you.

What's the title of this painting?

It's called a Night Blooming Cereus.

It's a desert flower from a cactus.

Is it finished?

It's almost finished,

it's not quite.

What is your favorite color?

Green.

Coz it's a peaceful color.

Do you want to paint

the rest of your life?

Well if it's in God's will,

I would like to paint.

I just,

whatever he wants me to do,

that's what I gotta do.

It's in his will.

I noticed you like tinkering with

learning robotics and things like that.

Yeah.

I hope to

build a robot someday.

Do you have any brothers or sisters?

I have one brother and two sisters.

Do you get along with them?

Yes, very much.

What's your favorite song?

My favorite song would have to be

Loose Change by Andrew Peterson.

He talks about painting,

and how

painting is, you know, cast around

not paying much attention

to like a lot of people.

But it can mean a lot to somebody.

And you mean a lot to somebody.

To God.

What concerns me the most

in this world today is

the large amount of depression.

And through my paintings

I want to inspire people to have hope

and to encourage people

to do good to others.

And to show that God

the creator

loves them and cares for them.

I'd love to be on tv.

What is your favorite thing to paint?

My favorite thing to paint...

well, I like painting

religious pieces.

Pieces that mean,

pieces where you have to look

and find your own meaning in each piece.

And nature pieces.

I feel like

God has given me a talent in painting

and that's what I'm gonna do.
