-
- POCO F7 Ultra
versus Samsung Galaxy S25+,
-
both of them
have powerhouse processors,
-
Snapdragon 8 Elite.
-
That's the strongest chip
that Qualcomm has this year.
-
They both have
great camera sensors
-
and both are running Android 15.
-
Who's going to win in this battle?
-
Don't go away
after this quick intro.
-
(introduction music)
-
Let's now quickly talk
about their design.
-
Both of them has glass back,
aluminum frames,
-
and glass finish in front.
-
And both of them are IP68
dust and water resistant.
-
You can submerge them
up to 2.5 meters for 30 minutes.
-
Maybe the only edge
of Samsung here is its frame
-
which is an armor aluminum 2 frame
-
that's propriety of Samsung.
-
While on the POCO F7,
the materials used
-
on its side frame
is aerospace grade
-
high-strength aluminum alloy.
-
Its material is matte finish
and it's very lightweight
-
and sturdy that's why
it gives you a very flagship-like feel.
-
In terms of weight,
there's kind of a big difference.
-
190 grams for the S25+
and 217 grams for the POCO F7 Ultra
-
which has some weight to it.
-
On its camera bump,
they look different,
-
Samsung having
a Samsung camera bump
-
and POCO having
a circular bump this time.
-
They both have two 5G nano SIM,
except that S25+
-
is better since you can put
an eSIM on it.
-
Now like I told you earlier,
they're both Snapdragon 8 Elite,
-
very powerful chip
that Qualcomm has.
-
I tested both of them
on AnTuTu Benchmark
-
and this is the score
that we got.
-
1.94 million points
on Samsung Galaxy S25+
-
and 2.28 million points
on POCO F7 Ultra.
-
And we know that Samsung
is notorious for nerfing
-
its processor to make it
not reach its full potential.
-
But we know that POCO
always give
-
the best performance possible.
-
These are the breakdown scores.
-
When it comes to thermals,
you'll really see that
-
the Samsung Galaxy S25+
is hotter compared
-
to the POCO F7 Ultra.
-
I do hope that POCO improves it
on future firmware updates.
-
This one throttled to 56%
of its best performance
-
and this one throttled
to 48% of its best performance.
-
Let's now talk about its battery.
-
The Samsung Galaxy S25+
has 4,900mAh supporting
-
up to 45W of fast charging,
and it has 15W of wireless charging,
-
and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
-
While on the POCO F7 Ultra,
the battery size of this
-
is 5,300mAh
that's silicon-carbon material
-
and up to 120W of fast charging.
-
And it has 50W
of wireless charging capability.
-
When it comes to battery
and charging,
-
Samsung Galaxy S25+ easily loses.
-
And both can last
one whole day without charging.
-
There's no problem
as long as you're not heavy
-
into gaming.
-
But when I put it both
under the PCMark battery stress test,
-
the results are very different.
-
Samsung drained first
and it gave me 12 hours
-
and 31 minutes of screen-on time
-
while POCO gave me 18 hours
and 42 minutes.
-
There's a huge gap.
-
Let's now talk about its display.
-
The Samsung Galaxy S25+
has a dynamic LTPO AMOLED display
-
that's a 6.7-inch screen.
-
Its maximum brightness
is 2,600 nits.
-
And it also has 120Hz
of screen refresh rate.
-
On the POCO F7 Ultra,
there's an OLED display
-
with 120Hz
of screen refresh rate,
-
6.67-inch screen size,
and its maximum brightness
-
is 3,200 nits.
-
Samsung is protected
by the Corning Gorilla Glass
-
Victus 2.
-
The F7 Ultra has
the Longjing Glass 2.
-
When it comes
to the browsing experience
-
on both phones,
they're both great.
-
Honestly, I have no problem
on both phones browsing.
-
And honestly,
choosing between both devices,
-
I think Samsung S25+
is a bit better,
-
maybe because
of its display panel
-
that Samsung made
versus the F7 Ultra,
-
just based on my eyes.
-
It could be very subjective
depending on the user.
-
And if you're watching videos
on both devices,
-
I think it's almost the same.
-
The display of the S25+
is a bit better,
-
personally speaking.
-
When it comes to gaming,
both phones can give you
-
a good gaming experience.
-
I've played games
like Wuthering Waves,
-
Farlight 84, and Genshin Impact,
and even Call of Duty Mobile.
-
What's good
with the POCO F7 Ultra,
-
it's equipped
with the Vision Boost v7.
-
This is an independent chip
that POCO made
-
and when you turn on
the smart frame rate feature,
-
its frame rate
would automatically adjust
-
to make the in-game action
smoother and more fluid.
-
You won't have problems
on both phones
-
except that the Samsung Galaxy S25+
heated up more compared
-
to the cooler F7 Ultra.
-
You can watch the full review
of the S25+
-
and the F7 Ultra
separately in my channel.
-
Let's now talk
about the cameras.
-
The Samsung Galaxy S25+
has a 50MP main camera sensor
-
with OIS, 10MP telephoto lens
with up to 3x optical zoom,
-
and it also has a 12MP
ultra wide sensor.
-
It can let you shoot
up to 8K and 30 FPS.
-
Its front-facing camera
is 12MP which can let you shoot
-
up to 4K and 60 FPS.
-
The F7 Ultra has a 50MP
main camera sensor with OIS,
-
50MP telephoto lens
with up to 2.5x optical zoom,
-
and it has 32MP ultra wide lens.
-
It can shoot you
up to 8K and 24 FPS.
-
Its front-facing camera
is a 20MP which can let you shoot
-
only up to 1080P and 60 FPS.
-
Okay. So let's start
our comparison
-
for the camera performance
of both phones.
-
I have my Samsung Galaxy S25+
on my left
-
and I have my POCO F7 Ultra
on my right.
-
Now taking a look at some
of these outdoor shots,
-
equally nice.
-
Both of these shots look nice,
clear, and sharp.
-
You would see more details,
I noticed here,
-
the cloud on the back
of the building seems
-
to have more details
on the POCO F7 Ultra
-
as compared
to the Samsung Galaxy S25+.
-
But all of the other details
like the building
-
and the trees,
it looks almost equally the same,
-
not much difference
between them.
-
And you'll notice the shade
of green here
-
is a bit darker on the F7 Ultra
while a bit lighter
-
on the Samsung Galaxy S25+.
-
Moving on to this shot,
you'll notice that
-
its blue sky is equally nice,
both are great shots.
-
And yeah. I just noticed
that the clouds are more detailed
-
on the F7 Ultra.
-
And when you look
at the building itself,
-
the POCO F7 Ultra
has a darker shade of blue
-
as compared to the S25+,
but they're both sharp.
-
And when you look at this part,
it seems like
-
there are more details
on the F7 Ultra.
-
You'll see the details
of the lines,
-
but it's kind of blurred out
on the S25+.
-
On food photography
under lowlight,
-
you'll notice here that
the shots are not that different,
-
they're both focused
on the subject,
-
except that the colors
are a bit better on the S25+.
-
It looks more appetizing
compared to the F7 Ultra.
-
And you'll notice the cherry
on the S25+ pops out more,
-
it looks more appetizing
as compared to the F7 Ultra.
-
For this wine shot that we got,
they're both great,
-
sharp, and detailed.
-
But when you zoom it
in the middle,
-
the gold shade looks better
on the S25+,
-
but both shots were fine.
-
When it comes
to this noodle shot,
-
they're almost the same
except that the shade
-
of neon green is more prominent
on the S25+.
-
On the F7 Ultra,
it's a little bit more
-
of a darker green.
-
Now, it's not too much
on the colors
-
but more on the details
that we're looking at.
-
If you zoom it in
onto this strand,
-
they both have details
but the approach
-
of the F7 Ultra is more detailed
when you zoom it in
-
on these two strands
of noodles.
-
When it comes to this shot,
you'll notice that
-
the color is stronger
on the F7 Ultra
-
for the wood section.
-
You'll see its wood varnish
looks a little bit darker compared
-
to the S25+.
-
And when it comes to painting,
it just looks better
-
on the F7 Ultra compared
to the S25+.
-
Plus the details here
are a little bit faded on the S25+
-
and it's more preserved
on the F7 Ultra.
-
It's different on these two shots,
you'll notice the roots
-
inside this glass
that it's more clear on the S25+
-
and it's a bit faded
on the F7 Ultra,
-
though the bokeh
on both shots are good.
-
When you look at this shot,
they're both good.
-
Honestly, I'm surprised.
-
And when you zoom it in,
they're both detailed
-
up to the last strand,
except that when you look
-
at the F7 Ultra,
it's more detailed
-
on the S25+.
-
These two gown shots
look good and you can see
-
all the beads are preserved.
-
The shot on both looks
almost the same.
-
Including this one,
the S25+ just got
-
a brighter red approach
and a darker shade
-
on the F7 Ultra,
though both have
-
really nice details.
-
Comparing these two
using its ultra wide lens,
-
this is how it looks like.
-
1x, 2x, 2.5x, and 5x zoom.
-
After 5x zooming,
it seems to me
-
that the Samsung shot
gets a little bit clearer shot
-
after 5x zooming.
-
When it comes to night shot,
it seems to me
-
that both shots
are really looking good
-
on its own way.
-
You can see that the Samsung
has whiter bulbs
-
while the F7 Ultra
has warmer looking bulbs.
-
To each its own
are the advantages
-
so I would hardly say
who is the winner here.
-
But based on my observation,
it seems to me
-
that the approach of the F7 Ultra
is a little bit better.
-
But on this shot,
I think the S25+ captured it beter.
-
When it comes
to the selfie camera,
-
it's no doubt that the shot
looks better
-
on the Samsung Galaxy S25+.
-
The color accuracy of my shirt
looks way better on the S25+,
-
plus the details of my face
looks more detailed.
-
On the S25+,
by looking at the hair,
-
it spells the difference,
-
it's even a bit smudgier
on the F7 Ultra.
-
Equally said when it comes
to indoors,
-
the shots from S25+
looks better.
-
When we look at this
side-by-side,
-
there's no doubt that
the front-facing camera
-
of the Samsung Galaxy S25+
is better.
-
It gets more details,
my face looks clearer,
-
and the color accuracy
of my shirt looks way better
-
on the S25+.
-
Taking a look at
its rear camera performance,
-
there's not much
of a difference.
-
When you look at the S25+,
its attack is brighter,
-
while the F7 Ultra
is a bit darker.
-
When it comes to indoors,
they're both good,
-
it's just that the camera
of the S25+ is brighter
-
when it comes to the video.
-
After comparing these
two really good devices,
-
almost flagship level devices,
I would honestly tell you
-
that this battle is great.
-
It's a very close fight
between both of them
-
and I can say that
when it comes to performance,
-
POCO can level up
with the Samsung Galaxy S25+.
-
Especially on its rear camera,
I think it can match
-
the camera performance
of the S25+.
-
Its front-facing camera
really lags behind
-
because of its quality.
-
In terms of gaming,
both phones can handle
-
heavy games, except that
the S25+ is hotter.
-
In terms of multitasking,
both phones don't have
-
any problems.
-
Now it all boils down
to your budget.
-
The S25+ is almost double
the price of the F7 Ultra
-
which I think is a good choice
if we're only talking
-
about the budget.
-
But if we're going
to talk about the weight,
-
S25+ has the edge
because it's lighter.
-
All of the other features
like battery, charging,
-
and charging brick,
POCO F7 Ultra is the winner.
-
