Disclaimer :

The 2 lines “Bijuli baleko hola, mai janey putali railaima” were passed down to me by my 82-year-old grandmother, Tanka (Radha Kumari) Poudel, who began singing them around the year 2015–16 B.S. in Gorkha, Nepal. Believed to be part of a traditional folk song, these lines were commonly performed during Ratyauli and community gatherings by her and friends in festivals, pujas, weddings etc. I was inspired to create an original melody around them. I do not claim any copyright or ownership over these 2 lyrical lines, “bijuli baleko hola, mai jane putali relaima”, which I recognize as part of traditional cultural expression.
Hence, this is my way of keeping my roots alive. And, I would love to pass this expression to future generations.

“बिजुली बलेको होला, मै जाने पुतली रेलैमा” यी दुई पंक्तिहरू मैले मेरी ८२ वर्षीया हजुरआमा टंक (राधा कुमारी) पौडेलबाट सुन्दै आएको हुँ। बि.स. २०१५–१६ सालमा गोरखा, नेपालमा उहाँले यिनै पंक्तिहरू गाउनु हुन्थ्यो। यी पंक्तिहरू परम्परागत लोकगीतको अंश भएको विश्वास गरिन्छ, जुन उहाँ र उहाँका साथिहरूले रत्यौली, पूजापाठ, बिहे तथा अन्य सामुदायिक जमघटहरूमा गाउने गर्नुहुन्थ्यो। यसैबाट प्रेरित भई मैले यि पंक्तिहरू लिएर एउटा मौलिक धुन तयार पारेको छु।

“बिजुली बलेको होला, मै जाने पुतली रेलैमा” भन्ने यी दुई पंक्तिहरू, म कुनैपनि प्रतिलिपि अधिकार वा स्वामित्वको दावी गर्दिनँ, र म यिनलाई परम्परागत सांस्कृतिक अभिव्यक्तिको रूपमा स्वीकार गर्दछु।

आफ्ना जरा बचाइराख्ने यो मेरो सानो प्रयास हो। अनि, म चाहन्छु कि यो अभिव्यक्ति भावी पुस्तामा पनि जीवित रहोस्।
