Why can’t you attain peace through worldly pleasures? by Harman Singh

  • 0:05 - 0:07
What is the true form of bliss?
  • 0:07 - 0:10
If we are trying to find happiness
in life, if that is the purpose,
  • 0:09 - 0:13
Then can't we find happiness through our
    desires of eating food?
  • 0:13 - 0:18
    Attaining money,
    showing off to the world?
  • 0:18 - 0:20
    Whatever it may be.
  • 0:24 - 0:27
    Is that not enough?
  • 0:27 - 0:31
If the goal is to attain peace,
    well guess what.
  • 0:30 - 0:33
I attain lots of peace after pursuing my lust
  • 0:33 - 0:37
I ha've attained lots of happiness after
    pursuing my greed.
  • 0:37 - 0:42
If that goal is happiness then why
can't i just attain it through the world?
  • 0:42 - 0:44
Because attain I see so much happiness.
  • 0:44 - 0:50
But do not forget that that ras
what you say is very temporary.
  • 0:50 - 0:54
It's like a safflower, the color seems
    great but it's actually not
  • 0:55 - 0:58
    It is like a deer
that is running down the road.
  • 0:58 - 0:59
It sees a pool of water.
  • 0:59 - 1:04
But when it runs to that water,
the water seems even farther away.
  • 1:04 - 1:05
    You may have experienced this.
  • 1:05 - 1:07
So you may be driving down the road on a sunny day
  • 1:07 - 1:11
It seems like there is water down the road.
  • 1:11 - 1:13
The reality is the water is not actually there.
  • 1:12 - 1:17
So that anand which you are pursuing
    is a little heavenly.
  • 1:13 - 1:15
    It seems like an illusion.
  • 1:15 - 1:17
there it seems like an illusion
  • 1:17 - 1:23
    is a little heavenly
  • 1:20 - 1:25
Because any time you pursue that type of
anand it does not last forever.
  • 1:25 - 1:29
It is temporary it gives you the illusion
of Sukh, but it actually gives you Dukh.
  • 1:30 - 1:34
    Once you eat this food
    just moments later the food
    will start to digest.
  • 1:30 - 1:32
    You ate food Pyreyo.
  • 1:35 - 1:38
And you will start feeling hungry again.
  • 1:38 - 1:42
    That is the reality.
  • 1:41 - 1:44
You go and enjoy a movie
  • 1:42 - 1:46
But that enjoyment of a movie will not
    last forever.
  • 1:46 - 1:48
    last forever
  • 1:46 - 1:51
You go and enjoy a song but that
    enjoyment will not last forever.
  • 1:51 - 1:58
    Because you go back
    and Dukh attacks you after.
  • 1:56 - 2:00
At one time you were happy and then
    sadness follows.
  • 2:00 - 2:05
    These are like two clothes.
You switch them on and off.
  • 2:05 - 2:08
Sometimes you go soaring into the skyes.
  • 2:14 - 2:18
Your mind is so greedy that
what it is trying to acquire.
  • 2:16 - 2:19
    To soak the happiness,
acquiring it in the wrong way.
  • 2:21 - 2:24
    Because it is so ‘chanchal'
    it is so wavering.
  • 2:21 - 2:25
it's so gentle because it's so wavering
  • 2:25 - 2:28
It cannot find its true happiness
    anywhere.
  • 2:28 - 2:31
    There are two people.
    An Agyani and Brahmgyani.
  • 2:33 - 2:40
    The Brahm Gyani says that
"I want to acquire peace and happiness"
  • 2:36 - 2:39
    Brahm Gyani mean a person
    who is enlightened.
  • 2:39 - 2:44
The person that has experienced parmatma.
  • 2:45 - 2:47
Through each and every atom of
    this unverse.
  • 2:47 - 2:50
Within each and every hair follicle
    of their entire body.
  • 2:49 - 2:52
    They are hearing similar and
    all they see is Brahm.
  • 2:52 - 2:54
    They see a paramatma everywhere.
  • 2:54 - 2:59
    That brahmagiyani is saying that
    I want to experience Anand.
  • 3:00 - 3:03
    And the agyani, the person
that is living their life in ignorance.
  • 3:03 - 3:06
Going after the flavors of the world,
    the tastes of the world.
  • 3:06 - 3:12
They are sitting and saying they want
to experience bliss and happinnes as well.
  • 3:13 - 3:16
They both go do the same action.
  • 3:16 - 3:19
They eat a plate of food.
  • 3:16 - 3:21
When they go to eat this plate of food,
    they are agyani.
  • 3:21 - 3:23
    The one living in ignorance.
  • 3:23 - 3:26
Not experiencing God instead seeing the
    duality of the world.
  • 3:27 - 3:28
    He feels hunger.
  • 3:28 - 3:31
This desire and this hunger is
    driving this person mad.
  • 3:29 - 3:33
He goes to eat the food.
  • 3:30 - 3:35
He is saying that the food
    will make me content.
  • 3:34 - 3:43
    Once he eats the food,
    his stomach is filled.
  • 3:35 - 3:38
    It will fulfill my desire
    to fulfill my needs.
  • 3:43 - 3:45
    He says “wah"
  • 3:45 - 3:50
    Keep these words in mind.
    He says anand aa geya.
  • 3:49 - 3:51
    But moments later.
  • 3:51 - 3:55
An hour later, two hours later,
He is starting to feel hunger again.
  • 3:55 - 3:59
    Because he does not realize
    where ananda comes from.
  • 3:59 - 4:03
    He placed Anand coming
    from the food.
  • 4:03 - 4:08
So next time he is in need of Anand,
of happiness, he will go after food.
  • 4:06 - 4:10
Whether it will be spicy food next time.
  • 4:10 - 4:13
Whether it will be sweet food, cheesy food
  • 4:17 - 4:22
Going after many many different types of food.
  • 4:19 - 4:22
Growing the taste of the tongue.
  • 4:25 - 4:27
Going after all of these food.
  • 4:31 - 4:34
    Going after sweetness, bitter ,tasty
    savoury foods.
  • 4:34 - 4:37
He's saying that this food that I ate
  • 4:35 - 4:39
even though it fulfilled my hunger
  • 4:37 - 4:41
but now the desires of the fickle mind
  • 4:39 - 4:42
the mind is saying that you don't just
  • 4:41 - 4:45
    want food anymore
  • 4:42 - 4:46
no you want spicy food no you want sweet
  • 4:45 - 4:49
    food
  • 4:46 - 4:51
and you know the how the rest goes then
  • 4:49 - 4:53
    there's the brahmgian nibiru
  • 4:51 - 4:55
he's eating food he does the exact same
  • 4:53 - 4:56
    task
  • 4:55 - 4:58
    don't think that the brahmagyani's
  • 4:56 - 5:00
    actions are any different
  • 4:58 - 5:02
to the actions of a person living in
  • 5:00 - 5:03
ignorance that person will be living in
  • 5:02 - 5:05
    this world the exact same
  • 5:03 - 5:07
sometimes you may not even be able to
  • 5:05 - 5:08
notice that this person is experiencing
  • 5:07 - 5:11
    that anant
  • 5:08 - 5:14
this brahman he sits and eats the food
  • 5:11 - 5:14
    once the food is eaten
  • 5:15 - 5:19
he feels content and he says the same
  • 5:23 - 5:26
    words
  • 5:24 - 5:27
but when he starts feeling hunger
  • 5:26 - 5:30
    moments later
  • 5:27 - 5:31
once the food starts to digest his
  • 5:30 - 5:34
    contentment is not lost
  • 5:31 - 5:37
    why because he didn't place
  • 5:34 - 5:38
the source of anand the source of
  • 5:37 - 5:42
    happiness of contentment
  • 5:38 - 5:42
inside of the food itself this is how it
  • 5:42 - 5:47
    works
  • 5:42 - 5:47
when your mind is after a desire
  • 5:47 - 5:51
when your mind is after a desire your
  • 5:49 - 5:53
    mind is wavering
  • 5:51 - 5:56
it is trying to chase after something is
  • 5:53 - 5:56
    trying to find something
  • 5:56 - 6:01
but once it finds what is acquiring your
  • 5:59 - 6:03
mind becomes still for just a split
  • 6:01 - 6:06
    second
  • 6:03 - 6:07
in that split moment you do not look
  • 6:06 - 6:09
    around
  • 6:07 - 6:11
your five senses are not looking around
  • 6:09 - 6:12
it doesn't matter what you're hearing
  • 6:11 - 6:15
    what you're seeing
  • 6:12 - 6:16
what you're feeling for that split
  • 6:15 - 6:19
    millisecond
  • 6:16 - 6:21
may it be your mind becomes still
  • 6:19 - 6:23
and the rays of akalifor just like the
  • 6:21 - 6:24
sun is shining throughout this entire
  • 6:23 - 6:28
    world
  • 6:24 - 6:29
even agyani through contentment may feel
  • 6:28 - 6:32
    a little bit
  • 6:29 - 6:32
of the rays of that sun because he has
  • 6:32 - 6:36
    become
  • 6:32 - 6:38
desireless for a split second he's
  • 6:36 - 6:42
    become completely nishkam
  • 6:38 - 6:44
the truth is since the moment
  • 6:42 - 6:45
we were born we have not become
  • 6:44 - 6:48
    desireless
  • 6:45 - 6:51
we were born the moment we were born we
  • 6:48 - 6:51
    started having a desire
  • 6:53 - 6:56
the moment you were born you started
  • 6:55 - 6:59
    crying
  • 6:56 - 7:00
for the milk of your mother that desire
  • 6:59 - 7:01
    grew
  • 7:00 - 7:03
to playing with your mom and dad to
  • 7:01 - 7:05
playing with your brothers and sisters
  • 7:03 - 7:09
to eating lots of food then that grew to
  • 7:05 - 7:09
calm then it grew to greed
  • 7:10 - 7:13
this desire doesn't and just like
  • 7:11 - 7:15
    numbers don't end
  • 7:13 - 7:16
the desire in this mind of yours will
  • 7:15 - 7:18
    never end if you
  • 7:16 - 7:20
place your hopes in the false this false
  • 7:18 - 7:23
    world will be
  • 7:20 - 7:25
the brahmagyani is eating that food he
  • 7:23 - 7:27
    says
  • 7:25 - 7:29
because he knows that my mind has now
  • 7:27 - 7:33
    become still
  • 7:29 - 7:34
felt content and the light of a kalapurg
  • 7:33 - 7:36
    is shining through
  • 7:34 - 7:38
and he keeps his mind another because he
  • 7:36 - 7:38
knows that the anand was not coming from
  • 7:38 - 7:41
    the food
  • 7:38 - 7:44
it comes from my mind becoming still and
  • 7:41 - 7:44
it is always able to keep their mind
  • 7:44 - 7:47
    still
  • 7:44 - 7:48
    completely distal desireless that is
  • 7:47 - 7:50
    what abram
  • 7:48 - 7:50
    is
  • 7:54 - 8:01
what else other desire does he have
  • 7:57 - 8:03
what other desire would he have if that
  • 8:01 - 8:05
hari da jan has become the form of akal
  • 8:03 - 8:07
    there's no difference between
  • 8:05 - 8:07
    that's
  • 8:08 - 8:11
themselves then that person must be
  • 8:10 - 8:13
    desireless right
  • 8:11 - 8:15
but no they say that that person still
  • 8:13 - 8:17
    has a desire
  • 8:15 - 8:18
they say god is not desireless somebody
  • 8:17 - 8:21
    said what do you mean
  • 8:18 - 8:22
god is not desirable they say god is
  • 8:21 - 8:24
    very hungry
  • 8:22 - 8:26
they say what do you mean god is hungry
  • 8:24 - 8:28
god is the creator of the universe god
  • 8:26 - 8:31
    cannot be hungry for anything
  • 8:28 - 8:33
and by gurdas he says no god is hungry
  • 8:31 - 8:36
they say what is god hungry for they say
  • 8:33 - 8:36
    govind
  • 8:37 - 8:41
    what is akalpur hungry
  • 8:52 - 8:59
to be able to sit in this
  • 8:56 - 9:01
experience that a kalpark for the love
  • 8:59 - 9:04
    of their pockets
  • 9:01 - 9:06
akalpur created the sari sri sari kid
  • 9:04 - 9:09
because he's hungry for praying hungry
  • 9:06 - 9:09
    for love
  • 9:15 - 9:20
that has drenched their entire life just
  • 9:18 - 9:22
    like we take clothes
  • 9:20 - 9:24
and the dyer puts it into the water the
  • 9:22 - 9:26
    clothes are pulled out
  • 9:24 - 9:28
and whatever the water smelled like
  • 9:26 - 9:30
    whether it smelled like
  • 9:28 - 9:31
fragrance like jasmine whether it's not
  • 9:30 - 9:33
    like sandalwood
  • 9:31 - 9:35
whatever color that water was the
  • 9:33 - 9:38
clothes has now died in that color
  • 9:35 - 9:39
and that same way denarika musaka tikul
  • 9:38 - 9:41
    those that are
  • 9:39 - 9:44
completely drenched and imbued in that
  • 9:41 - 9:47
    color of a kalpark
  • 9:44 - 9:48
their life is blessed them coming into
  • 9:47 - 9:49
    this world is blessed
  • 9:48 - 9:51
because they filled the purpose of a
  • 9:49 - 9:51
    kalpaq
  • 10:02 - 10:07
the world says that i am having a social
  • 10:06 - 10:09
    life
  • 10:07 - 10:09
    but the guru says
  • 10:10 - 10:14
this is all false that go back to the
  • 10:12 - 10:17
    example of the brahmagyani
  • 10:14 - 10:20
brahmagan is the food now when the
  • 10:17 - 10:22
brahmagyani is now hungry again whether
  • 10:20 - 10:25
    food is on his plate
  • 10:22 - 10:27
again or it isn't the brahmagani will
  • 10:25 - 10:28
    always still stay in anand
  • 10:27 - 10:31
because the food was not the source of
  • 10:28 - 10:31
    anand
