-
Hey! First ever ultra phone
of POCO,
-
and this is the
all-new POCO F7 Ultra
-
powered by the Qualcomm
Snapdragon 8 Elite.
-
This is the first time
that there's an 8 Elite,
-
it's keeping up with
the flagship chip of Qualcomm.
-
Normally, F series is always
one step behind
-
but now, it's keeping up.
-
It has a Liquid Cool Technology 4.0
-
and Wild Boost Optimization 4.0.
-
Its battery is also big
at 5,300mAh
-
and it supports 120W
of fast charging.
-
More details
after this quick intro.
-
(introduction music)
-
Now the POCO F7 Ultra
that has 12GB of RAM
-
and 256GB of storage
is priced at Php37,999,
-
but for the early birds,
it's only Php34,999.
-
And its 16GB of RAM
and 512GB of storage
-
is priced at Php39,999,
but for you early birds,
-
it's only Php37,999.
-
More details
on the description box below.
-
Now taking a look
at its design,
-
one of the first things I noticed
is that its yellow
-
is not as bright
as other POCO phones.
-
Normally, the yellow of POCO
is as bright as this one
-
but on this one,
it's kind of a mustard yellow.
-
It has a circle camera module
which is a little bit different
-
from the POCO F6 series.
-
It has a curved side
for the back panel
-
on the bottom and on the sides
-
that's why it's not edgy
when I hold it.
-
But its screen is flat,
not curved.
-
One thing to notice
is that the thickness
-
if the bezels is just right
and it is symmetrical
-
throughout the phone.
-
There's a heft to it
at 212 grams.
-
Normally, POCO phones
are below 200 grams.
-
And it also has IP68
dust and water resistance.
-
Now for the first time in forever,
POCO finally released
-
a flagship chip of Qualcomm,
and this is a Qualcomm
-
Snapdragon 8 Elite chip
inside the POCO F7 Ultra.
-
It's got a high score
on AnTuTu Benchmark
-
at 2.28 million points,
and this is the breakdown score.
-
This is the score I got
on Geekbench CPU benchmark,
-
and on its GPU benchmarking.
-
One of the good things
on the phones like this one
-
is that it has a big battery
at 5,300mAh.
-
I was hoping for it to bump it up
to 6,000mAh
-
just like the POCO F7 Pro.
-
But I think, personally,
given that it has 120W
-
of fast charging support,
it can charge in just
-
a little bit above 15 minutes
and your battery
-
is fully charged.
-
And it also supports 50W
of wireless charging
-
so you won't have a problem
if you're a fan
-
of wireless charging.
-
The wireless charging
was a thing on the F5 Pro,
-
it's removed on the F6 Pro,
and it's back on the F7 Ultra.
-
On a day-to-day basis,
this phone can last me
-
a whole day without a problem.
-
As long as you're using it normally,
without heavy gaming
-
or heavy photography
or video recording,
-
one whole day isn't a problem.
-
And when I put this
on the PCMark battery stress test
-
under 50% brightness
and 60Hz of screen refresh rate,
-
we got a high rating.
-
Guys, it's 18 hours
and 42 minutes.
-
Solid.
-
Let's quickly talk
about the display.
-
The POCO F7 Ultra
has a 6.67-inch
-
Flow AMOLED display.
-
It can display up to 2K resolution
and it's got 120Hz
-
of screen refresh rate.
-
It has a max brightness
at 3,200 nits
-
and a touch sampling rate
of 480Hz.
-
It also has 3,840 PWM dimming
for the protection of your eyes.
-
Now if you like browsing
on your smartphones,
-
this is definitely a good device
for social media consumption.
-
Browsing on Facebook,
TikTok, Twitter, and all
-
of the other social media apps
that you have,
-
you'll really enjoy it here
because of its high refresh rate.
-
And honestly, its display panel
looks great
-
so if you're watching
HD content here,
-
it's definitely going to be
a treat
-
because of its nice display.
-
Its colors are punchy
and bright and the black
-
is definitely blacker.
-
No matter what video
you watch here,
-
I'm sure you'll enjoy.
-
Now this phone of POCO
has dual speakers,
-
one on the bottom
and the other one
-
is coming off
from its earpiece.
-
Let's just listen to how loud
its speakers are
-
when we max its volume.
-
(HOT by LE SSERAFIM)
-
Its sound is pretty solid
and I would say
-
that the sound
from its speakers is loud.
-
Now guys, I did play
four titles here on this phone:
-
Genshin Impact,
Wuthering Waves,
-
Call of Duty Mobile,
and Farlight 84.
-
On Genshin Impact,
I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy here
-
because this one has
the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.
-
It's very powerful
for Genshin Impact.
-
And we maxed out
its graphic settings,
-
I was able to enjoy this game.
-
I almost didn't notice
that much frame drops.
-
Especially when you're fighting
and clashing with bosses
-
and enemies along
a certain point,
-
you won't feel any lags
on this gameplay.
-
Its touch response is fast
and one of the good things here
-
is that it's not super hot
at 39°C.
-
On Wuthering Waves,
the gameplay is okay.
-
There are times that I felt
some frame drops
-
because I maxed out
its graphic settings.
-
Probably it's not that optimized yet
for this chip,
-
but overall gameplay
was really good.
-
The graphics look great
and the touch response
-
from the screen was really fast.
-
One of the good things I like
about it is its loud sound
-
so you'll really enjoy here.
-
And playing after 30 minutes,
I reached 44°C.
-
On Farlight 84,
there's no problem
-
with its gameplay
and my experience
-
was very smooth here.
-
I did play three BR matches
and I enjoyed.
-
One of the good things here
is that its graphic
-
look so good
and you'll really enjoy it.
-
I didn't have any problems
with its touch response
-
and the hottest temperature
it reached
-
after 30 minutes
of gameplay was 39°C.
-
On Call of Duty Mobile,
you won't really have
-
any problem here
because it's not
-
that resource-hungry,
and we maxed out
-
its graphic settings,
you'll really enjoy this game
-
because it was really
a fast-paced game.
-
My touch response
is very accurate on this phone
-
while playing CODM.
-
And the hottest temperature
it reached
-
after 30 minutes
of gameplay was 37°C.
-
Let's talk about the camera
on the POCO F7 Ultra.
-
Honestly, I'll tell you
ahead of time,
-
this is not just for gaming,
its camera is also good.
-
And it starts off with a 50MP
main camera sensor
-
with a Light Fusion 800
image sensor.
-
It also has OIS.
-
And of course, it has a 50MP
telephoto lens
-
with a 2.5x zoom.
-
And a 32MP ultra wide camera
with 120° FoV.
-
This one can shoot you
up to 8K and 24 FPS.
-
And its front-facing camera
is a 32MP front-facing shooter
-
which can shoot you
up to 1080p and 60 FPS.
-
For outdoor shots
on the POCO F7 Ultra,
-
I can assure you that this one
can definitely get you
-
some really nice shot.
-
Taking a look
at this very simple shot,
-
just taking a quick snap
around the vicinity,
-
you'll see there's a lot
of details preserved
-
on the clouds.
-
And this building,
its details are definitely sharp.
-
As well as this one,
you'll see that this shot
-
was captured really well,
very simple
-
but it looks beautiful.
-
The blue sky is really nice
and yeah, I would say
-
it's a bit saturated
but it looks good.
-
Quickly walking
around the vicinity,
-
you'll be able to get
some really nice snap
-
on this camera
because it's really one of a kind.
-
We've also played
with its ultra wide shot
-
and this is how it looks like.
-
1x,
-
2x,
-
2.5x,
-
and this is a 5x zoom.
-
Now checking its signages,
it's fine.
-
The text are still clear
on the sign board.
-
But one thing to notice
is the color difference
-
between the 2x zoom
and its 2.5x zoom,
-
there's quite a bit
of a difference.
-
The 2x is more yellowish
and the 2.5x is a little bit whitish.
-
If you're trying to take
some greens,
-
well, honestly I would say
it's a bit saturated
-
but its saturation looks good.
-
And the shot on these leaves
look great,
-
they're really sharp.
-
Taking a look at this one,
we can see there's
-
a lot of details preserved
on its petals
-
which is definitely good.
-
And taking some flower shot
like this one on outdoors,
-
you'll see that there's definitely
a lot of details preserved.
-
If you're going indoors,
taking some food shots,
-
honestly, the food shots
you'll get
-
on the POCO F7 Ultra are great.
-
I was able to get
some really nice snaps here.
-
And inside the restaurant,
I was able to get
-
some of this really nice snaps.
-
You'll really see that
the photos that you'll get
-
are very clear and sharp
on the F7 Ultra.
-
And honestly, I was quite amazed
with the shots that I got.
-
I wasn't really expecting it
to be this good.
-
This is probably another shot
that's my favorite.
-
And honestly, taking a look
at this one,
-
the focusing on the subject
looks great
-
and blurring all the way
to the background.
-
Taking a gown shot,
you'd see that the details
-
on the beads are still clear.
-
And in this one,
you can see the details
-
still look good.
-
Taking some cake shots,
it looks good.
-
And at nighttime,
you'll be able to take
-
some really nice snaps here.
-
And you'll notice
that it enhances the night view,
-
making it look as if the sun
has just started to set—
-
about 1-2 hours earlier—
-
when in reality,
it's already nighttime.
-
And this is another shot,
as well as this one.
-
Now if we're going
to talk about selfies,
-
I was also quite surprised
with its shot.
-
I was able to take in
some really nice snaps
-
from the front-facing camera.
-
There's a lot of details.
-
To my surprise,
I like the way this camera
-
was able to perform
on the front-facing camera.
-
And I was able to enjoy
the photos that I was able
-
to take from the POCO F7 Ultra
on the front-facing camera.
-
If we're going to talk
about indoors,
-
it's equally nice.
-
Though it's a little bit softer
compared to outdoors,
-
but nevertheless,
these shots are definitely good
-
for a midrange phone
like the POCO F7 Ultra.
-
If you're trying to take a vlog
using the front-facing camera,
-
its video is quite stable,
just using my bare hand,
-
and its video resolution
is not bad.
-
And its rear camera
is quite smooth
-
using just my bare hand.
-
And I would say that
its resolution looks good
-
on this camera.
-
And this is going to be
a good vlogging phone,
-
not just for gaming,
but it can also do vlogs.
-
With a phone like this,
it's so powerful.
-
The POCO F7 Ultra
is the first of its class
-
on the POCO F series.
-
POCO is showing us
something very promising
-
because they can now keep up
with Qualcomm's flagship chip.
-
We'll probably see soon
the MediaTek flagship chip
-
also on the POCO series.
-
I can say that not only
was my gaming experience great,
-
but also my camera experience—
-
except for the front-facing camera,
-
which didn't really impress me.
-
Overall, the feel of this phone
is definitely good.
-
And for me,
I can easily recommend this
-
for power-hungry users.
