European Parliament elections 2024

Hi, Luca Di Bernardo here from Hamburg

I believe DiEM25 and MERA25 positions

on a lot of topics

are an extremely valuable voice

outside the choir
and they are

absolutely necessary.

The next European elections
are gonna be very important

on a lot of aspects

but I believe for our Movement
are even more important

because the European dimension

it's from where
the Movement started its fight.

There are several reasons why

instead of enjoying some,
possibly,

free time

I help the Movement
and I will continue

to help during this
EU campaign

I found in the Movement

a bunch of competent people,

who have a lot of different backgrounds

and I enjoy very much

spending time with them

and working with them.

I dream that the next generations
of Europeans

if not better possibility

they will have

the same opportunities

as my generation had.

And talking about generations

some years ago
I could complain

against a different generation of people,
older than me - politicians -

that were responsible for
the current situation back there.

Now, my own generation,

or maybe a generation of politicians
a bit older than me

are responsible
for the current disasters.

And I think we could have
several examples

that I am not going to tell here...

I am honestly tired
to leave them working undisturbed!

Theoretically the EU parliament

is the maximum expression
of the integration between countries,

it represents a mix of nationalities.

However, the politicians

who run for European elections

they campaign in their own country,

they spend most of the time
in their own country,

they speak their own language

and they speak to the press

of their own country.

I think with our Movement

which is full of international people

we can bring really

another perspective.
