European Parliament elections 2024

Hi, Luca Di Bernardo here from Hamburg.

I believe DiEM25 and MERA25 positions on a lot of topics
are an extremely valuable voice outside the choir
and they are absolutely necessary.
There are several reasons why I instead of enjoying a more relaxed life I spend my energy and determination to help.
Some of them:
I want the next generations have in EU if not better opportunities the same my generation had
Talking about different generations some years ago I used to criticise politicians that were older than me and my generation. Now some responsible of the current situation in Europe that on a lot of fronts is a CATASTROPHY are my same age. I am tired to leave them making disasters undisturbed
Theoretically the EU parliament is the maximum expression of the integration between EU countries, it has a mix of nationalities represented… In reality however since elections take place in each country candidates are usually local politicians, that spend most of the time in their own country, campaigning in their own county, talking to their own country press.
I think my eye of an Italian who has been living abroad for 10 years, before in Luxembourg now in Germany might bring a different perspective.

The next EU parliament elections are gonna be very important on a lot of aspects.

For DIEM25 and Mera 25 even more, because the EU dimension is the environment and the idea in which DIEM25 started its fight.
