>> Hello, everyone, my name is Alex
and today I want to just take a second
-
to do a quick demonstration on how to
use the eyeglasses spacer that comes
-
with the Oculus Quest and
attach it to the headset.
-
You're going to want to start by putting
the headset face down on a flat surface,
-
like the table and you can
slide the headset straps
-
up a little bit and get them out of the way.
-
This foam part of the headset that touches
your face is actually designed to pop out,
-
so you can kind of reach in there on
the sides, the sides don't attach,
-
but there's clips at the top and
one at the bottom near the noise
-
that kind of hold the foam part in place.
-
So you'll start on the sides and kind of
work your way up to the top and it should pop
-
out relatively easy, maybe do a little
bit of downward pressure and a little bit
-
of outward pressure and it will come out.
-
I know it's scary, but it's designed to come
out, so you can kind of go ahead and go for it.
-
Next, you can simply put the spacer
onto the headset in place of the foam.
-
Where the foam was you can just go ahead and
make sure that the clips clip in at the top,
-
one, two, and then the third one down
there at the bottom near the noise
-
and then just simply follow
it up with the foam part.
-
Boom, put it right back where it
was and everything should click in.
-
You're going to want to make sure
you move it around a little bit.
-
When it first put it in it seemed like it was
in, but it was only after I kind of worked it
-
around the edges and made sure it snapped in
that I could tell that it was seated properly.
-
Taking it off is just as easy.
-
Just repeat the process,
go to the top, unlatch it.

-
You can remove the eyeglasses spacer.
-
And then replace it again
with the original foam insert.
-
And that's it, short, sweet,
straight to the point.
