Travelling in Europe: Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava~Your ultimate travel guide from a homebody

Hi everyone! From Lyon

This time I'm on my way to the airport- Lyon Saint Exupery

I forgot how far this airport is- I bought the Rhone express return ticket

I got to the airport three hours earlier so yes, I woke up at 6am

I can get my boarding pass on my phone instead of printing it

TMI #1 I forgot my glue in my checked in bag so I have to walk like this

TMI #2 I couldn't 💩 before leaving my house so now I feel like I'm suffering

My flight was delayed by an hour so I already missed my connecting flight🤦🏾‍♀️

Rushing to the transfer desk cos thy gave me the worst alternative

Money is important guys! It's 1h50 mins from Lyon-Vienna but I have this connection

Now let's go find something to eat

Why is water 5 euros??😂my health is worth less, i'll drink it on the plane😅

I wanted to get Burger king but I couldn't find it inside this big airport😂

An egg- bacon sandwich and a flat white that I forgot to add sugar🌑

So the lady at the transfer desk was heaven sent. She got me a new flight to Vienna

We also have a dinner reservation at 9:30 pm and I am already so exhausted

Is that the plane they wanted me to go with? I want tot rant about this flight itinerary 😂

Am I finally in Vienna?? I'm taking the airport train cos I don't have time

Like I said, drop my bags and go for dinner so I can't even freshen up😩😩

Called up the restaurant to say we'd be ten minutes late

but we got here on time 😂😂

We're only here for one thing pls😮‍💨

Make it two cos the salad is perfection 🤌🏾

We also got their wine which made it 10/10

We were quite literally the last to leave the restaurant

The toilet is so pretty I just had to show it- it smells pretty bad tho, I mean like a toilet

We stayed at Fleming's hotel which is pretty central as a location

why is there a bathroom in the middle of the room?😂

Starting our day at the MuseumsQuartier

We spent a good chunk of the morning here trying to see which tickets we'd get

Finding a place to eat first then coming back

Definitely a garden of the Hofburg palace 😂

I had the best cheeseburger of my life with Austrian Beef- kept me full the whole day

Everything here is so beautiful pls 😂

I got to see the life of Empress Elizabeth ( Sisi)

This was the best place I visited

It's 6 something am and ready for a new day

On time with few minutes to spare

We assumed they used Euros so imagine our surprise we saw that it was Hungarian Forint

They're filming a movie here🎥

No zebra crossing, you have to run 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

I'm in love with these old trams

Budapest is also known for their paprika which is found in almost every corner of this place

These guys stole from us, that's all I'll say about this

We spent so much time here than needed to be honestly

I don't remember the name of this dish but it's rice and pork

I like that this restaurant gives a traditional home vibe

The food is soo hot and salty but otherwise it's really good

They also played some entertainment music as we were eating which was fun

I am too full!!!

It is literally a climb 🥲 and listen to our breaths😂

We missed our train back to Vienna and just hopped on the next one

which is not allowed as it's not the right train to do that

We were worried we'd get checked but we made it anyway

and I hate these pretzels that I bought before my trip😂

ok now this is my new favorite wine for sure

Buying day tickets again

Yes! we came to Slovakia as it's only an hour away from Vienna Central Station

On our way to the blue church and we saw this. So much talent

I spy with my little eyes

This was truly a reminder that it was indeed Sunday and people were going for service

It looks like a cake that we could eat, right?

This was probably me the first time I came to France, right?

Being a girl with my girl ( this was all her)- I insisted that we stick to the schedule 😂

I can confidently say I saw everything there is yo see in Bratislava😅

We've seen everything and we're waiting for our lunch spot to open

so I got a flat white coffee

We got here 15 minutes early

15 mins later, they're open

Most recommended restaurant fir authentic Slovakian experience

it just opened and it's already full

Of course I wanted the soup in bread ( made with sheep cheese)

This is what I missed in Budapest ( Goulash in bread)

We already missed our train again but this time we can comfortably take the next one 😅

Vienna again to see the museums we didn't see yet

It's a very cold day in Wien

Vey pretty and colorful with things I didn't even try to understand 😩😩

I think almost every Kenyan can attest that they grew up eating plums

so this is hot plum that is added to the pancakes

We didn't get the opera house experience but we got a concert

We weren't allowed to film during the performance so I only got the end

I knew this place was expensive but I almost lost an organ paying for a drink 😩

I got sparkling wine and my friend a cocktail

I left early cos I wanted to get the cheese infused sausage before my flight

But first, cream filled pistachio croissant that was just perfect

Technically, they open at ten and I got here fifteen minutes early 😩

But he's so kind, he said he'd do his best for me

Turns out the church that I was dying to see was right next to it

I only had time to see from the outside cos I need to go ✈️✈️

This is called Kaserkrainer ( cheese infused sausage)

I knew I couldn't leave without having to eat this.

I would have regretted it for sure.

Same way I didn't go to Freud's museum or Cafe central among other places

Unless the world is ending, Vienna- Austria will always be here

Morning entertainment on my way to the airport

I needed a takeaway bag and somehow ended up buying Mozart chocolates as well

My connecting flight is from Paris-CDG✈️

And finally the opportunity to eat my kasekrainer (ate the croissant at the airport in Vienna)

I definitely feel rejuvenated and fresh albeit exhausted of course

Next time, I'd like to take things slower and my time with the countries

To sleep well and wake up even better

Finally in Lyon with a bruised toe but i'm safe
