POCO X7 5G - Upgrade sa Camera and Performance! Kaabang Abang!

I'm sure many of you
are excited for this new device

of POCO,

and this is the POCO X7.

What's in this?

MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra.

1.5K CrystalRes, 120Hz
of AMOLED curved display.

50MP main camera sensor
with OIS.

IPS68 dust and water resistance.

Plus, its battery is huge
at 5,110mAh.

I'm holding right now
is the black POCO X7.

It has 12GB of RAM
and 512GB of storage.

Now before we move
any further,

I just want to share with you
that we'll be using

this BOYA BOYALINK 2
microphone moving forward

because I want to share
with you the beauty

of this microphone.

It's perfect for content creation.

I know that the good
audio devices

are kind of expensive.

I know it's not just
somewhat expensive;

it's really expensive.

Not with the BOYALINK 2.

This device was just released
and I know this would be

very budget-friendly
for content creators

like you and me.

One thing I like about it
is that its case

is very easy to carry.

Once you open it,
you can see all of them

are lined up already.

You have your receiver
over here.

Right now currently
it's on audio jack.

But it's easy to switch over
from lightning pin

and Type-C pin.

Plus, it has two microphones
that are transmitters.

So this is perfect
for interviewing

or you can just simply use one
and this one is your backup;

if the battery of this one
is drained out,

you still have another one.

One thing I like about it
is that it's universally compatible,

be it DSLR, Android devices,
Apple devices.

You can use this
on all of those.

And this one you can record
up to 300 meters

on open field,
plus it also has hi-fi recording.

So I'll be using this mic
from this point forward.

So guys you can see
I'm using right now

the BOYALINK 2.

So let's continue.

One thing to appreciate
on this POCO X7

is that its back is beautiful.

I was really surprised
that the mixture

of the colors are great,
yellow on the side

and black on the center,
and there's a big POCO print here

which I don't really like
that much.

The POCO logo in the middle
is kind of loud.

But its faux leather finish here
feels really nice

and feels very premium
to the touch.

And I kind of like the ring
that has a gold emblem.

It looks really premium.

Another thing to like
about it is that

its phone is thin
and it has a curved display.

You can see the bezels
on the sides are thin,

though it's kind of thick
on the top and bottom.

It's just right,
it's not too thin.

Overall, this phone is light
and it feels light on my hand.

And the grip is just right.

Now we know this phone
is being powered

by the MediaTek
Dimensity 7300 Ultra.

And we've seen it perform
on some other phones

in the past and it was able
to give me a 690,000 points

on AnTuTu Benchmark.

This is the breakdown score.

It has 850 loop score
on Wild Life Extreme

with 99% stability.

This is the score that I got
on Geekbench

CPU benchmarking,

and this is
on the GPU benchmarking.

Its thermals are looking good
and it throttled

to 86% of its best performance.

Now let's talk about battery.

The battery of this phone
become larger at 5,110mAh

which is a little bit above
the industry standard.

And one thing to like
about this is that

the battery lasts
on this phone.

I was able to last a whole day
using this phone

without a problem;
I don't need to charge

as long as you're using it
normally.

Because I believe
the Dimensity 7300 Ultra

is quite battery efficient.

And another good thing here
is that it supports 45W

of fast charging
so charging from 0 to 100%

takes a little bit above an hour
and it'll be fully charged.

For me, 45W is just right
because you don't need 120W

as the battery
will degrade faster

if you're using 120W
of fast charging

since the battery
will heat up faster.

Let's talk about display
right now.

This one has a 6.67-inch
CrystalRes 1.5K AMOLED

curved display.

It has 120Hz of screen refresh rate
and Dolby Vision.

Its max brightness is 3,000 nits.

And based on what I know,
this one is being protected

by the Corning Gorilla Glass
Victus 2.

This phone is currently
running HyperOS version 1,

it's not version 2,
but it's upgradable to version 2

inside Android version 14.

One of the nice things
on this phone

is that its display is great.

I love the way it is
and I love the performance

on this phone,
especially when I'm browsing

on social media,
on Facebook, Twitter,

Instagram, and TikTok,
the browsing here

is very smooth thanks
to its high refresh rate.

And another thing
that you'll appreciate here

if you're watching
your favorite shows here,

be it on YouTube,
on Netflix, is that

you'll really get
a good display

because this one
can display up to 1.5K display,

the videos that you'll watch here
are very sharp and clear.

And I did watch some films here
on YouTube

and honestly, I would tell you
that the display is very good

because I enjoyed watching
some basketball games

and watching
some Korean novellas.

The POCO X7 was able
to give me a good

entertaining package.

We just want to test right now
its loudspeaker.

It has six holes on the bottom
and three holes on the top,

so I'm pretty sure that
it's not that balanced—

the sound coming
from the top and bottom

but nevertheless,
here goes a quick sample.

For me, the sound is good
and average.

It's not really that loud,
it's just right for me,

but I've seen a lot
of other phones

that has a louder speaker
than this one.

But for me, it's average.

Probably for some other people
it might be already good.

Now I did put some effort
playing some games,

and I did play Wuthering Waves,
Genshin Impact,

Call of Duty Mobile,
and Farlight 84.

On Wuthering Waves,
I was able to enjoy this game,

though setting it
to medium graphic settings.

There are times that
I feel there are some frame drops

that you'll feel where
the character is kind of jumping

or when you're running,
it's kind of stuttering.

That's where you'll feel
the frame drops,

maybe because
the Dimensity 7300 Ultra

can't handle the games
like this

at a higher graphic setting.

So a trick that I can tell you
is, of course,

lower the graphic settings
just to be able

to give you a better
gaming experience.

But overall, the gameplay
on Wuthering Waves,

you'd be able to get
a good decent gameplay

as long as you don't set it
to all high settings.

The touch response is good
and the sound is good,

and the hottest temperature
it achieved

after 30 minutes
of gameplay is 43°C.

Moving on to Genshin Impact,
I also set it

to medium graphic settings
with 60 FPS

and the gameplay
was quite good.

To my surprise,
it was able to handle this game.

Even though you're fighting
with so many enemies

on the field,
I really didn't feel

that much frame drops on it,
to my surprise.

And it gave me
a good experience

playing this game.

And after 30 minutes
of gameplay,

I would tell you
that it's not that hot at 44°C.

On Call of Duty Mobile,
we maxed out

its graphic settings
so we all know

it can handle it,

and the gameplay
was really smooth.

I was able to play
several ranked matches here

and it gave me
a really good experience

on Call of Duty Mobile.

The controls are responsive,
I was able to enjoy it,

and the sound was just okay.

After 30 minutes of gameplay,
the hottest it achieved was 43°C.

On Farlight 84, I also set it
to medium graphic settings.

I didn't max it out
because we know

that Farlight 84,
when it comes to chips

like this one,
you can't max it out.

One thing to like here
at medium graphic settings

is that it can handle this.

And to my surprise,
it was really good.

And playing 30 minutes
of ranked matches here,

the hottest temperature
is just 41°C.

Let's talk about the camera
on the POCO X7.

Its main camera sensor
is a 50MP with OIS.

8MP ultra wide lens
with 120° of field of view

and a 2MP macro lens.

This one can let you shoot
up to 4K and 30 FPS.

And its front-facing camera
is a 20MP front-facing shooter

which can let you shoot
up to 1080p and 60 FPS.

So guys right now let's talk
about the camera performance

of the POCO X7.

So taking some outdoor shots
and taking in

some leaf shots here,
I would say, well,

it's a little bit saturated
and we can see

these greens look really nice
and bright.

Based on my eyes,
these are a little bit

more saturated on its camera.

But honestly,
its saturation is looking good

and it'd be a great post
on Instagram.

And looking the way it is,
I would say that it's a winner.

It's not too much
of a saturation for me.

And if you're looking
at some of the tall building shot,

though it's gloomy,
you'd see the details

are preserved on the building.

And the cloud is not
that detailed,

maybe because it's kind
of gloomy.

If you're taking a look
at the vicinity,

you'd see some good details
on the trees around you.

But if you zoom it in,
you'll see that they're soft.

So we've played
the different lenses.

So this is a 0.6 ultra wide shot,
this is a normal shot,

and this is a 2x zoom shot.

You'd see some similarities
between its ultra wide shot

and its normal shot,

the color approach
is kind of the same.

Except that if you zoom it in
using the 2x zoom,

the color blue of the building
is kind of different

as opposed to the blue
of the normal shot.

The blue shade here
looks darker.

If you're focusing
on a certain subject,

you get a really nice pop-out
of the subject

and the background blur
is good.

If you're trying to take
some Christmas flower shot,

its red looks good.

And if you try to take
some flower shot,

it looks kind of good.

I was able to take
some of this food shot

on outdoor condition
and it looks good.

The camera of the POCO X7
focuses fast

based on my experience.

We also did try
indoor food photography.

I was able to take in
some nice shots here,

taking some of these nice
and delectable food

inside the hotel.

And yeah, if you zoom it in,
you'll see all of the details

on the nuts
which is definitely good.

We can see this photo
under the direct halogen bulb.

On other brands
of smartphones,

when you take this shot,
there'll be a orangey effect

but not on the POCO X7,
to my surprise.

You'll see that
the approach on these shots

is still good which is, for me,
not so bad

for the shot here.

Honestly, I was able to take
a lot of food shot here

using POCO X7.

If you can't get enough

Trying to take wine shot here
and some cocktail shot,

you'd see that this camera
of POCO X7 can really perform.

Trying to take
some Christmas decor shot,

you'd see the subjects pop out
which is, for me,

surprisingly really good.

And especially
this figurine shot,

I kind of love this shot.

Very simple but this shot
looks really great.

Even these gown shots,
I love them

because the shot
is just so simple.

This is probably one
of my favorite shots

among all of these shots
that I got.

Very simple, the focusing
is great here

on the Christmas decor,
and its stairs are blurred

all the way to the background.

It looks good.

Here's another apparel shot
that I got.

It looks really nice.

I love this shot.

When it was becoming dark,
I was able to take in

some really nice shot
using this camera.

Though that it's kind of dark
at this certain point of time,

the camera was able to enhance
the effect of the sky,

making it look a little bit
like a bluish sky

than a dark sky.

For me, its night mode
is not so bad.

Checking some selfie shot
on outdoor,

I would say its camera
is just fine.

It looks good
and it was able to take in

some really nice snaps
on outdoor condition.

And though my face
is kind of smoothened out here,

nevertheless, I would say
the photos that I got

are not so bad
on the POCO X7 using

the front-facing camera.

If you bring it indoors,
equally nice,

though it's a little bit softer,
but the shots that I got

are still not so bad
using the POCO X7,

be it on indoor and outdoor.

If you're using
the front-facing camera

to take a vlog,
I would say that

its camera is pretty decent,
smooth, and it's not shaky.

to my surprise.

The image stabilization is good.

And if you're using its rear camera
to take a video,

I would say that
its video resolution is also good.

And I'm just using
my bare hand taking this video.

It's not shaky.

The transition of this video
is quite smooth

which is something
that you'll appreciate

from the POCO X7.

Now guys, what can I say
about the performance

of the POCO X7?

I'm really surprised
that this phone is great.

To me, this is probably one
of the phones

that you need to anticipate
this start of 2025

because this one,
I'm not quite sure

what its price is going to be
but I'm pretty sure

that it won't exceed Php15,000
based on my guesstimate

here in the Philippines.

With all of the good things
that were featured here,

curved AMOLED display,
a good camera,

a good decent gaming experience,
the POCO X7

is definitely one
that you should keep

your eyes on this 2025.
