  • 0:00 - 0:03
    I'm sure many of you
are excited for this new device
  • 0:03 - 0:04
    of POCO,
  • 0:04 - 0:06
and this is the POCO X7.
  • 0:06 - 0:08
    What's in this?
  • 0:08 - 0:10
    MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra.
  • 0:10 - 0:16
    1.5K CrystalRes, 120Hz
    of AMOLED curved display.
  • 0:16 - 0:19
    50MP main camera sensor
    with OIS.
  • 0:19 - 0:22
    IPS68 dust and water resistance.
  • 0:22 - 0:26
    Plus, its battery is huge
    at 5,110mAh.
  • 0:26 - 0:28
    More details
    after this quick intro.
  • 0:28 - 0:30
    (introduction music)
  • 1:10 - 1:13
    I'm holding right now
    is the black POCO X7.
  • 1:13 - 1:17
    It has 12GB of RAM
    and 512GB of storage.
  • 1:17 - 1:18
    Now before we move
    any further,
  • 1:18 - 1:20
I just want to share with you
    that we'll be using
  • 1:20 - 1:25
    this BOYA BOYALINK 2
    microphone moving forward
  • 1:25 - 1:28
    because I want to share
    with you the beauty
  • 1:28 - 1:29
    of this microphone.
  • 1:29 - 1:31
    It's perfect for content creation.
  • 1:31 - 1:33
    I know that the good
    audio devices
  • 1:33 - 1:34
    are kind of expensive.
  • 1:34 - 1:35
    I know it's not just
    somewhat expensive;
  • 1:35 - 1:36
    it's really expensive.
  • 1:36 - 1:38
    Not with the BOYALINK 2.
  • 1:38 - 1:40
    This device was just released
and I know this would be
  • 1:40 - 1:43
    very budget-friendly
    for content creators
  • 1:43 - 1:44
    like you and me.
  • 1:44 - 1:45
One thing I like about it
    is that its case
  • 1:45 - 1:47
    is very easy to carry.
  • 1:47 - 1:48
    Once you open it,
you can see all of them
  • 1:48 - 1:49
    are lined up already.
  • 1:49 - 1:51
    You have your receiver
    over here.
  • 1:51 - 1:52
    Right now currently
    it's on audio jack.
  • 1:52 - 1:55
But it's easy to switch over
    from lightning pin
  • 1:55 - 1:57
    and Type-C pin.
  • 1:57 - 1:59
    Plus, it has two microphones
    that are transmitters.
  • 1:59 - 2:01
    So this is perfect
    for interviewing
  • 2:01 - 2:04
or you can just simply use one
    and this one is your backup;
  • 2:04 - 2:05
if the battery of this one
    is drained out,
  • 2:05 - 2:07
    you still have another one.
  • 2:07 - 2:09
One thing I like about it
    is that it's universally compatible,
  • 2:09 - 2:12
    be it DSLR, Android devices,
    Apple devices.
  • 2:12 - 2:14
    You can use this
    on all of those.
  • 2:14 - 2:17
And this one you can record
    up to 300 meters
  • 2:17 - 2:20
    on open field,
plus it also has hi-fi recording.
  • 2:20 - 2:22
So I'll be using this mic
    from this point forward.
  • 2:22 - 2:24
    So guys you can see
    I'm using right now
  • 2:24 - 2:25
    the BOYALINK 2.
  • 2:25 - 2:26
    So let's continue.
  • 2:28 - 2:32
    One thing to appreciate
    on this POCO X7
  • 2:32 - 2:33
is that its back is beautiful.
  • 2:33 - 2:36
    I was really surprised
    that the mixture
  • 2:36 - 2:38
    of the colors are great,
    yellow on the side
  • 2:38 - 2:41
    and black on the center,
and there's a big POCO print here
  • 2:41 - 2:44
    which I don't really like
    that much.
  • 2:44 - 2:46
The POCO logo in the middle
    is kind of loud.
  • 2:46 - 2:50
But its faux leather finish here
    feels really nice
  • 2:50 - 2:52
    and feels very premium
    to the touch.
  • 2:52 - 2:55
And I kind of like the ring
    that has a gold emblem.
  • 2:55 - 2:57
    It looks really premium.
  • 2:57 - 2:59
    Another thing to like
    about it is that
  • 2:59 - 3:02
    its phone is thin
and it has a curved display.
  • 3:02 - 3:05
    You can see the bezels
    on the sides are thin,
  • 3:05 - 3:07
    though it's kind of thick
    on the top and bottom.
  • 3:07 - 3:10
    It's just right,
    it's not too thin.
  • 3:10 - 3:13
    Overall, this phone is light
and it feels light on my hand.
  • 3:13 - 3:16
And the grip is just right.
  • 3:18 - 3:20
    Now we know this phone
    is being powered
  • 3:20 - 3:23
    by the MediaTek
    Dimensity 7300 Ultra.
  • 3:23 - 3:26
    And we've seen it perform
    on some other phones
  • 3:26 - 3:29
in the past and it was able
to give me a 690,000 points
  • 3:29 - 3:30
    on AnTuTu Benchmark.
  • 3:30 - 3:32
    This is the breakdown score.
  • 3:32 - 3:35
    It has 850 loop score
    on Wild Life Extreme
  • 3:35 - 3:36
    with 99% stability.
  • 3:36 - 3:38
This is the score that I got
    on Geekbench
  • 3:38 - 3:40
    CPU benchmarking,
  • 3:40 - 3:42
    and this is
    on the GPU benchmarking.
  • 3:42 - 3:44
    Its thermals are looking good
    and it throttled
  • 3:44 - 3:46
to 86% of its best performance.
  • 3:48 - 3:49
    Now let's talk about battery.
  • 3:49 - 3:53
    The battery of this phone
    become larger at 5,110mAh
  • 3:53 - 3:55
which is a little bit above
    the industry standard.
  • 3:55 - 3:57
    And one thing to like
    about this is that
  • 3:57 - 3:59
    the battery lasts
    on this phone.
  • 3:59 - 4:02
I was able to last a whole day
    using this phone
  • 4:02 - 4:04
    without a problem;
    I don't need to charge
  • 4:04 - 4:06
as long as you're using it
    normally.
  • 4:06 - 4:08
    Because I believe
    the Dimensity 7300 Ultra
  • 4:08 - 4:10
    is quite battery efficient.
  • 4:10 - 4:12
    And another good thing here
    is that it supports 45W
  • 4:12 - 4:15
    of fast charging
so charging from 0 to 100%
  • 4:15 - 4:18
takes a little bit above an hour
    and it'll be fully charged.
  • 4:18 - 4:21
For me, 45W is just right
    because you don't need 120W
  • 4:21 - 4:24
    as the battery
    will degrade faster
  • 4:24 - 4:26
    if you're using 120W
    of fast charging
  • 4:26 - 4:28
    since the battery
    will heat up faster.
  • 4:30 - 4:32
    Let's talk about display
    right now.
  • 4:32 - 4:37
    This one has a 6.67-inch
    CrystalRes 1.5K AMOLED
  • 4:37 - 4:38
    curved display.
  • 4:38 - 4:41
It has 120Hz of screen refresh rate
    and Dolby Vision.
  • 4:41 - 4:43
Its max brightness is 3,000 nits.
  • 4:43 - 4:45
And based on what I know,
    this one is being protected
  • 4:45 - 4:48
    by the Corning Gorilla Glass
    Victus 2.
  • 4:48 - 4:51
    This phone is currently
    running HyperOS version 1,
  • 4:51 - 4:55
    it's not version 2,
but it's upgradable to version 2
  • 4:55 - 4:56
    inside Android version 14.
  • 4:56 - 4:58
    One of the nice things
    on this phone
  • 4:58 - 5:00
is that its display is great.
  • 5:00 - 5:02
I love the way it is
    and I love the performance
  • 5:02 - 5:04
    on this phone,
    especially when I'm browsing
  • 5:04 - 5:06
    on social media,
    on Facebook, Twitter,
  • 5:06 - 5:08
    Instagram, and TikTok,
    the browsing here
  • 5:08 - 5:13
    is very smooth thanks
    to its high refresh rate.
  • 5:13 - 5:15
    And another thing
    that you'll appreciate here
  • 5:15 - 5:16
    if you're watching
    your favorite shows here,
  • 5:16 - 5:18
    be it on YouTube,
    on Netflix, is that
  • 5:18 - 5:20
    you'll really get
    a good display
  • 5:20 - 5:23
    because this one
can display up to 1.5K display,
  • 5:23 - 5:27
the videos that you'll watch here
    are very sharp and clear.
  • 5:27 - 5:30
And I did watch some films here
    on YouTube
  • 5:30 - 5:34
and honestly, I would tell you
that the display is very good
  • 5:34 - 5:37
    because I enjoyed watching
    some basketball games
  • 5:37 - 5:39
    and watching
    some Korean novellas.
  • 5:39 - 5:40
    The POCO X7 was able
    to give me a good
  • 5:40 - 5:42
    entertaining package.
  • 5:44 - 5:46
We just want to test right now
    its loudspeaker.
  • 5:46 - 5:50
It has six holes on the bottom
and three holes on the top,
  • 5:50 - 5:53
    so I'm pretty sure that
    it's not that balanced—
  • 5:53 - 5:55
    the sound coming
    from the top and bottom
  • 5:55 - 5:58
    but nevertheless,
    here goes a quick sample.
  • 5:58 - 6:00
(APT by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars)
  • 6:02 - 6:05
For me, the sound is good
    and average.
  • 6:05 - 6:08
    It's not really that loud,
    it's just right for me,
  • 6:08 - 6:09
    but I've seen a lot
    of other phones
  • 6:09 - 6:11
    that has a louder speaker
    than this one.
  • 6:11 - 6:13
    But for me, it's average.
  • 6:13 - 6:16
    Probably for some other people
    it might be already good.
  • 6:18 - 6:21
Now I did put some effort
    playing some games,
  • 6:21 - 6:24
and I did play Wuthering Waves,
    Genshin Impact,
  • 6:24 - 6:26
    Call of Duty Mobile,
    and Farlight 84.
  • 6:26 - 6:29
    On Wuthering Waves,
I was able to enjoy this game,
  • 6:29 - 6:31
    though setting it
    to medium graphic settings.
  • 6:31 - 6:34
    There are times that
I feel there are some frame drops
  • 6:34 - 6:39
    that you'll feel where
the character is kind of jumping
  • 6:39 - 6:42
    or when you're running,
    it's kind of stuttering.
  • 6:42 - 6:45
    That's where you'll feel
    the frame drops,
  • 6:45 - 6:49
    maybe because
    the Dimensity 7300 Ultra
  • 6:49 - 6:51
    can't handle the games
    like this
  • 6:51 - 6:53
    at a higher graphic setting.
  • 6:53 - 6:56
So a trick that I can tell you
    is, of course,
  • 6:56 - 6:58
    lower the graphic settings
    just to be able
  • 6:58 - 7:00
    to give you a better
    gaming experience.
  • 7:00 - 7:02
    But overall, the gameplay
    on Wuthering Waves,
  • 7:02 - 7:05
    you'd be able to get
    a good decent gameplay
  • 7:05 - 7:08
as long as you don't set it
    to all high settings.
  • 7:08 - 7:10
    The touch response is good
    and the sound is good,
  • 7:10 - 7:12
    and the hottest temperature
    it achieved
  • 7:12 - 7:15
    after 30 minutes
    of gameplay is 43°C.
  • 7:15 - 7:18
    Moving on to Genshin Impact,
    I also set it
  • 7:18 - 7:20
    to medium graphic settings
    with 60 FPS
  • 7:20 - 7:22
    and the gameplay
    was quite good.
  • 7:22 - 7:25
    To my surprise,
it was able to handle this game.
  • 7:25 - 7:28
    Even though you're fighting
    with so many enemies
  • 7:28 - 7:31
    on the field,
    I really didn't feel
  • 7:31 - 7:34
that much frame drops on it,
    to my surprise.
  • 7:34 - 7:36
    And it gave me
    a good experience
  • 7:36 - 7:37
    playing this game.
  • 7:37 - 7:39
    And after 30 minutes
    of gameplay,
  • 7:39 - 7:44
    I would tell you
that it's not that hot at 44°C.
  • 7:44 - 7:46
    On Call of Duty Mobile,
    we maxed out
  • 7:46 - 7:48
    its graphic settings
    so we all know
  • 7:48 - 7:49
    it can handle it,
  • 7:49 - 7:51
    and the gameplay
    was really smooth.
  • 7:51 - 7:53
    I was able to play
    several ranked matches here
  • 7:53 - 7:56
    and it gave me
    a really good experience
  • 7:56 - 7:58
    on Call of Duty Mobile.
  • 7:58 - 8:01
    The controls are responsive,
I was able to enjoy it,
  • 8:01 - 8:03
and the sound was just okay.
  • 8:03 - 8:07
    After 30 minutes of gameplay,
the hottest it achieved was 43°C.
  • 8:07 - 8:11
On Farlight 84, I also set it
    to medium graphic settings.
  • 8:11 - 8:13
    I didn't max it out
    because we know
  • 8:13 - 8:16
    that Farlight 84,
    when it comes to chips
  • 8:16 - 8:18
    like this one,
    you can't max it out.
  • 8:18 - 8:20
    One thing to like here
    at medium graphic settings
  • 8:20 - 8:22
is that it can handle this.
  • 8:22 - 8:24
    And to my surprise,
    it was really good.
  • 8:24 - 8:27
    And playing 30 minutes
    of ranked matches here,
  • 8:27 - 8:29
    the hottest temperature
    is just 41°C.
  • 8:31 - 8:34
    Let's talk about the camera
    on the POCO X7.
  • 8:34 - 8:38
    Its main camera sensor
    is a 50MP with OIS.
  • 8:38 - 8:42
    8MP ultra wide lens
with 120° of field of view
  • 8:42 - 8:44
    and a 2MP macro lens.
  • 8:44 - 8:46
This one can let you shoot
up to 4K and 30 FPS.
  • 8:46 - 8:49
    And its front-facing camera
    is a 20MP front-facing shooter
  • 8:49 - 8:52
    which can let you shoot
up to 1080p and 60 FPS.
  • 8:52 - 8:55
So guys right now let's talk
    about the camera performance
  • 8:55 - 8:57
    of the POCO X7.
  • 8:57 - 9:00
    So taking some outdoor shots
    and taking in
  • 9:00 - 9:02
    some leaf shots here,
    I would say, well,
  • 9:02 - 9:05
    it's a little bit saturated
    and we can see
  • 9:05 - 9:07
    these greens look really nice
    and bright.
  • 9:07 - 9:10
    Based on my eyes,
    these are a little bit
  • 9:10 - 9:13
    more saturated on its camera.
  • 9:13 - 9:16
    But honestly,
    its saturation is looking good
  • 9:16 - 9:19
and it'd be a great post
    on Instagram.
  • 9:19 - 9:23
And looking the way it is,
    I would say that it's a winner.
  • 9:23 - 9:26
    It's not too much
    of a saturation for me.
  • 9:26 - 9:28
    And if you're looking
at some of the tall building shot,
  • 9:28 - 9:31
    though it's gloomy,
    you'd see the details
  • 9:31 - 9:33
    are preserved on the building.
  • 9:33 - 9:36
    And the cloud is not
    that detailed,
  • 9:36 - 9:39
    maybe because it's kind
    of gloomy.
  • 9:39 - 9:41
    If you're taking a look
    at the vicinity,
  • 9:41 - 9:44
    you'd see some good details
    on the trees around you.
  • 9:44 - 9:47
But if you zoom it in,
    you'll see that they're soft.
  • 9:47 - 9:49
    So we've played
    the different lenses.
  • 9:49 - 9:53
So this is a 0.6 ultra wide shot,
    this is a normal shot,
  • 9:53 - 9:55
and this is a 2x zoom shot.
  • 9:55 - 9:59
    You'd see some similarities
    between its ultra wide shot
  • 9:59 - 10:00
    and its normal shot,
  • 10:00 - 10:03
    the color approach
    is kind of the same.
  • 10:03 - 10:07
Except that if you zoom it in
    using the 2x zoom,
  • 10:07 - 10:11
the color blue of the building
    is kind of different
  • 10:11 - 10:14
    as opposed to the blue
    of the normal shot.
  • 10:14 - 10:16
    The blue shade here
    looks darker.
  • 10:16 - 10:18
    If you're focusing
    on a certain subject,
  • 10:18 - 10:22
you get a really nice pop-out
    of the subject
  • 10:22 - 10:24
    and the background blur
    is good.
  • 10:24 - 10:26
    If you're trying to take
    some Christmas flower shot,
  • 10:26 - 10:28
    its red looks good.
  • 10:28 - 10:30
And if you try to take
    some flower shot,
  • 10:30 - 10:32
    it looks kind of good.
  • 10:32 - 10:34
    I was able to take
    some of this food shot
  • 10:34 - 10:36
    on outdoor condition
    and it looks good.
  • 10:36 - 10:39
The camera of the POCO X7
    focuses fast
  • 10:39 - 10:40
    based on my experience.
  • 10:40 - 10:43
    We also did try
    indoor food photography.
  • 10:43 - 10:45
I was able to take in
    some nice shots here,
  • 10:45 - 10:48
    taking some of these nice
    and delectable food
  • 10:48 - 10:50
    inside the hotel.
  • 10:50 -
And yeah, if you zoom it in,
you'll see all of the details
  • Not Synced
    on the nuts
    which is definitely good.
  • Not Synced
    We can see this photo
    under the direct halogen bulb.
  • Not Synced
    On other brands
    of smartphones,
  • Not Synced
    when you take this shot,
    there'll be a orangey effect
  • Not Synced
but not on the POCO X7,
    to my surprise.
  • Not Synced
    You'll see that
    the approach on these shots
  • Not Synced
is still good which is, for me,
    not so bad
  • Not Synced
    for the shot here.
  • Not Synced
Honestly, I was able to take
a lot of food shot here
  • Not Synced
    using POCO X7.
  • Not Synced
    If you can't get enough
    of my shots here
  • Not Synced
    which I cannot show it
    too much to you,
  • Not Synced
    because our airtime is limited,
    feel free to visit me
  • Not Synced
    on my Facebook page
    at Gadget Sidekick
  • Not Synced
so you can see my other shots
    using my POCO X7.
  • Not Synced
Trying to take wine shot here
    and some cocktail shot,
  • Not Synced
    you'd see that this camera
of POCO X7 can really perform.
  • Not Synced
    Trying to take
    some Christmas decor shot,
  • Not Synced
you'd see the subjects pop out
    which is, for me,
  • Not Synced
    surprisingly really good.
  • Not Synced
    And especially
    this figurine shot,
  • Not Synced
I kind of love this shot.
  • Not Synced
    Very simple but this shot
    looks really great.
  • Not Synced
    Even these gown shots,
    I love them
  • Not Synced
    because the shot
    is just so simple.
  • Not Synced
    This is probably one
    of my favorite shots
  • Not Synced
    among all of these shots
    that I got.
  • Not Synced
    Very simple, the focusing
    is great here
  • Not Synced
    on the Christmas decor,
    and its stairs are blurred
  • Not Synced
all the way to the background.
  • Not Synced
    It looks good.
  • Not Synced
    Here's another apparel shot
    that I got.
  • Not Synced
    It looks really nice.
  • Not Synced
    I love this shot.
  • Not Synced
    When it was becoming dark,
I was able to take in
  • Not Synced
    some really nice shot
    using this camera.
  • Not Synced
Though that it's kind of dark
at this certain point of time,
  • Not Synced
the camera was able to enhance
    the effect of the sky,
  • Not Synced
making it look a little bit
    like a bluish sky
  • Not Synced
    than a dark sky.
  • Not Synced
    For me, its night mode
    is not so bad.
  • Not Synced
    Checking some selfie shot
    on outdoor,
  • Not Synced
    I would say its camera
    is just fine.
  • Not Synced
    It looks good
and it was able to take in
  • Not Synced
    some really nice snaps
    on outdoor condition.
  • Not Synced
    And though my face
is kind of smoothened out here,
  • Not Synced
    nevertheless, I would say
    the photos that I got
  • Not Synced
    are not so bad
    on the POCO X7 using
  • Not Synced
    the front-facing camera.
  • Not Synced
    If you bring it indoors,
    equally nice,
  • Not Synced
though it's a little bit softer,
but the shots that I got
  • Not Synced
    are still not so bad
    using the POCO X7,
  • Not Synced
be it on indoor and outdoor.
  • Not Synced
    If you're using
    the front-facing camera
  • Not Synced
    to take a vlog,
    I would say that
  • Not Synced
    its camera is pretty decent,
    smooth, and it's not shaky.
  • Not Synced
    to my surprise.
  • Not Synced
    The image stabilization is good.
  • Not Synced
And if you're using its rear camera
    to take a video,
  • Not Synced
    I would say that
its video resolution is also good.
  • Not Synced
    And I'm just using
my bare hand taking this video.
  • Not Synced
    It's not shaky.
  • Not Synced
    The transition of this video
    is quite smooth
  • Not Synced
    which is something
    that you'll appreciate
  • Not Synced
    from the POCO X7.
  • Not Synced
Now guys, what can I say
    about the performance
  • Not Synced
    of the POCO X7?
  • Not Synced
    I'm really surprised
    that this phone is great.
  • Not Synced
To me, this is probably one
    of the phones
  • Not Synced
    that you need to anticipate
    this start of 2025
  • Not Synced
    because this one,
    I'm not quite sure
  • Not Synced
what its price is going to be
    but I'm pretty sure
  • Not Synced
    that it won't exceed Php15,000
    based on my guesstimate
  • Not Synced
    here in the Philippines.
  • Not Synced
With all of the good things
    that were featured here,
  • Not Synced
    curved AMOLED display,
    a good camera,
  • Not Synced
    a good decent gaming experience,
    the POCO X7
  • Not Synced
    is definitely one
    that you should keep
  • Not Synced
    your eyes on this 2025.
  • Not Synced
    How about you guys,
    are you going to anticipate
  • Not Synced
    this POCO X7?
  • Not Synced
    And of course,
    if you want to do
  • Not Synced
    content creating on POCO X7,
    it's easily doable
  • Not Synced
    and it's also perfect together
    with the BOYA BOYALINK 2
  • Not Synced
    which I'll post the link
    on the description box below
  • Not Synced
    where you can buy this
