In this documentary, we meet some Zen monastics from Plum Village France as they embark on a journey to release their first music album as a band.
For brother Phap Huu, music and art are ways to go in the direction of collecting awakening - to "water the good seeds" that are present in the depth of our mind, like compassion, joy, togetherness and hope.
For sister Hieu Duc, music and poetry have become a way to embrace and heal individual and collective suffering, like her experience with the Hong Kong protests.
For sister Trai Nghiem, going from a career as professional violinist into life as a nun meant re-discovering new depth in music - the potential to bring the energy of compassion and connection to oneself and others.
For brother Phap Linh, there is much joy and wonder in being able to play and create music as a group, with freedom from the need to become successful, make money or compete with others - "to be able to make music from and for love".
