That includes his assets, his property, maybe his bank accounts and overall how much he is worth.

Ruth chapter one, "Naomi was left without her two sons and her husband."

Quite a desperate situation.

And I think much more desperate than most of the people.

Then Naomi said to her two daughters in law,

go back, each of you, to your mother's home.

May the Lord show you kindness as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me.

Ruth is one of the most selfless examples of self sacrifice that read in the Bible.

She decided to build her whole life from now on around her contribution to others.

Around her contribution, help to Naomi, her mother-in-law.

And they were not even blood related!

And I know most of us we have big trouble with our in-laws.

If we are honest, we know!

We fight mother in law, father in law.

But she said, "No, I will follow you!"

She invested in building her life around her contribution.

So she went there.

She started working hard every day, going to gather the crops

that the men used to leave leftovers when they were harvesting.

And finally, the owner of the field.

That guy that was rich,

Boez with a high net worth, saw her and he was very impressed by what she had done for her mother-in-law.

And they realized that they are actually related through the mother-in-law.

So he was obliged to marry her.

And he was not only obliged, but he really loved her and took the decision to marry her.

And to make the long story short, they got married.

She was blessed!

She got a child, which they named Obed.

And let me tell you the greatest of all.

Even though she was restored with a rich good husband,

she got a child that some people are struggling to get.

She was doubly blessed!

And that was not enough.

That grandson of her child Obed, was King David,

which means that she entered the bloodline of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That is the power of giving!

This makes us understand that your position is enhanced,

your position in Christ Jesus is enhanced each time you help someone in trouble.

But in order for you to take double blessing,

like Ruth who got the double blessing,

who got back what the devil had stolen from her!

You need to do something.

You need to start walking in the light of God's Word.

You need to start applying the Word of God that you received today.

What did you receive today?
