As-Salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatu
Llāhi wa barakātuh.
-
A'ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
-
Aṣ-ṣalātu wa s-Salāmu ʿalá Rasūlinā
Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīn
-
wa l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad
yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh,
-
madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr yā Shaykh
Abdu Llāh al-Fā'iz ad-Dāghistānī,
-
Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
-
Ṭarīqatunā ṣ-ṣuḥbah wa
l-khayru fi l-jam'iyyah.
-
We are in the blessed
month of Muḥarram.
-
May its virtues be upon us.
-
Its virtues are great. Our Prophet
ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam
-
says, a person
-
who fasts one day in Muḥarram,
-
each day is equal
-
to thirty days.
-
Of course, it is good to fast from
-
the first till the tenth.
Who can’t fast them,
-
can fast either the ninth
and tenth of Muḥarram,
-
or the tenth and eleventh of Muḥarram.
-
Both include the day of ‘Āshūrā’
-
which is a great day.
-
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has
granted it to people as a gift.
-
Whoever wants can take; for all people.
-
How will one take? If
he believes in Allāh ﷻ,
-
he will benefit from that day.
-
No one is preventing
-
people from benefiting.
-
It is beneficial for everyone.
-
This is a means by believing in Allāh ﷻ
-
and living as He ﷻ commands.
-
Every day a person lives is filled
-
with virtue, thawāb and beauty.
-
He who does not do so
-
loses a lot. And every day
-
is of no benefit; he gains
nothing but harm.
-
That’s why, this month of Muḥarram
-
is a blessed month. Before fasting
-
became obligatory in Ramaḍān,
-
they used to fast in the month
of Muḥarram. After that,
-
when it became obligatory,
-
they began to fast in Ramaḍān.
-
The fasting obligation became
-
in the month of Ramaḍān.
-
As we said, in the month of
Muḥarram, Prophets
-
reached their ranks or Prophethood
-
was granted to them. Similarly,
-
the ‘awliyā’ were given
the ranks of sainthood
-
on the day of ‘Āshūrā’, on
the tenth of Muḥarram.
-
On that day,
-
there were many incidents:
-
The forgiveness of ‘Adam
‘alayhi s-salām.
-
The ship of Nūh ‘alayhi s-salām:
-
the end of the flood and its
descent to the earth.
-
The salvation of Musa ‘alayhi s-salām.
-
The ascent of ‘Idrīs ‘alayhi s-salām
to the sky.
-
The most events have
happened on this day;
-
very beautiful events have happened.
That’s why,
-
this is a blessed day.
Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu
-
‘alayhi wa-sallam used to fast it.
-
When he ﷺ arrived to
Madinah after that,
-
because the Jews fasted
that day, he ﷺ said,
-
“I am more deserving of this day.”
-
In order to oppose them,
he ﷺ ordered to fast either
-
the ninth and tenth or the
tenth and eleventh.
-
As we said, it is a blessed day.
It has great spiritual benefits,
-
and also physical benefits.
-
On that day, our Prophet ṣallá
Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam
-
would shower with the intention of
spending the whole year in health.
-
Those who put kohl on their eyes
on that day will not suffer from eye pain.
-
The one who gives sadaqah
will have abundance.
-
For the one who buys for
his home, for his family,
-
buys gifts for his children,
-
or gives more gifts
-
as they wish, that year
-
will pass with barakah for
them, Allāh ﷻ willing.
-
In addition to the spiritual,
-
there are also apparent barakahs.
There is definitely benefit in the
-
commands of Islām. And there
is harm in its prohibitions.
-
A person’s ego wants what is ḥarām.
-
Both his ego gets
-
more and more rebellious
-
and his body is harmed. Therefore,
-
the things Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla
gifted in Islām
-
will certainly be beneficial
-
and beautiful both externally
and internally.
-
Today, of course, the blessed grandson of
our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi
-
wa-sallam was also martyred
along with his ﷺ ṣaḥābah.
-
In Islām, martyrdom
-
for any Muslim
-
is a great blessing.
And he is Sayyid ul-Shuhada’,
-
the master of martyrs. He is
the greatest master of martyrs.
-
That’s why, he attained
that rank. With that rank,
-
he is in the highest levels
next to his grandfather.
-
Sadness
-
happens if there is
-
no rank, if there is nothing.
-
Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu
‘alayhi wa-sallam says,
-
the pain that a martyr feels
-
is not even like a prick
-
of a needle. So when the
-
apple of his ﷺ blessed eye, his ﷺ
beloved grandson was martyred,
-
he felt pleasure with
the most beautiful states.
-
He ﷺ felt a beautiful pleasure
when he was martyred;
-
Hussein ‘alayhi s-salām,
-
the grandson of our Prophet ﷺ.
Therefore,
-
some of these things that are
-
not in accordance with the way shown
-
by our Prophet ﷺ and Islām
-
are not acceptable. Whoever
resorts to them
-
does so in vain. He does not
benefit at all.
-
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has
raised him
-
to the most beautiful ranks.
May Allāh ﷻ
-
settle us in Paradise near him,
in shā’a Llāh.
-
That’s what we say. May their ranks
-
and barakah be upon us. Martyrdom
-
is a very great rank.
-
May he be our intercessor, in shā’a Llāh.
May Allāh ﷻ
-
bless this day of ours; not today.
-
Today is the ninth. Tomorrow is the tenth.
-
We are saying them now so
that we can do those duties tomorrow.
-
There is also a four-rak’āt
prayer tomorrow.
-
You can pray it whenever you want.
Of course,
-
it has to be before Asr prayer.
After Asr prayer,
-
no voluntary prayers must be performed.
-
That prayer is four rak’āt;
-
you will recite eleven ikhlās
in each rak’āt.
-
After it is finished, recite 70 times,
-
“HasbunAllah wa Ni’mal Wakīl,
Ni’mal Mawla wa Ni’mal Nasīr,
-
Ghufrānaka Rabbana w Ilayka l-Masīr.”
-
Then, there is a du’ā’. That du’ā’
-
will be read seven times,
in shā’a Llāh.
-
With that du’ā’, this day’s
barakah will be
-
upon us, in shā’a Llāh.
May Allāh ﷻ make it blessed.
-
May their blessings be upon us.
-
May those ranks be
-
of benefit to us, in shā’a Llāh.
-
May the ranks of those Prophets, ‘awliyā’,
-
the righteous and the martyrs
-
be high, in shā’a Llāh.
-
Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, we are again
saying for this month,
-
month of Muḥarram, it is very
blessed month
-
which it was before Ramaḍān
-
they was fasting.
-
It was in Muḥarram, Ashūrā' or this days.
-
But it was not obligatory of course.
-
When coming obligatory, coming
change to Ramaḍān.
-
Ramaḍān thirty days obligatory and
Qur’ān also they said.
-
But before they was used to
-
fast in this month, month of Muḥarram,
-
which Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi
wa-sallam saying in ḥadīth.
-
One day of fasting in Muḥarram
it's equal to thirty day fasting.
-
So it is very blessed, very
-
must benefit from this.
-
Al-ḥamdu liLlāh we are with same,
-
In shā'a Llāh same with what they
done in this days.
-
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave,
He ﷻ gave the Prophets,
-
Prophecy many of them,
-
and help them, save them, or
open for them what
-
victory and blessed.
-
Since Ādam,‘alayhi s-salām, he was,
-
Allāh ﷻ forgive him when in this days.
-
And Idrīs, ‘alayhi s-salām, He ﷻ take him,
-
he went to heaven.
-
Nūḥ, ‘alayhi s-salām, save from flood.
-
Musa, ‘alayhi s-salām, save from Fir‘awn.
-
Like this many occasion it was in this day
-
and many awliyā’u Llāh, many mashāyikh,
-
they become, Allāh ﷻ open for
them in this day,
-
day of ‘Āshūrā’, ten of Muḥarram.
-
So it is very blessed day. We must benefit
-
because everything Allāh ﷻ gave us,
gave the
-
order to do, giving you benefit
-
spiritually and physically.
-
When you do this, you be strong
physically also and
-
spiritually of course. But when
-
opposite of this, who do
-
ḥarām or sin, not get any benefit –
-
no spiritually, no physically.
-
It is opposite, become worse
-
physically and spiritually,
worse and worse.
-
Every time he do sin,
-
become burden on him, burden on him.
-
And he not taking any
-
happiness from what he done.
-
But when you do what Allāh ﷻ order,
He ﷻ give you happiness
-
for dunyā, for your physical
body and for spiritual.
-
And this is, al-ḥamdu liLlāh, one day of
-
this big days, ten of ‘Āshūrā’.
-
In this day, Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi
wa-sallam saying also,
-
who he can make shower, who make
shower in this day,
-
he will be healthy in this year.
-
And who put kohl in his eyes,
-
his eyes it will be strong
-
and no illness, in shā’a Llāh.
-
And who give for charity,
-
Allāh ﷻ give barakah for him.
Who give for his
-
family also make them happy,
-
Allāh ﷻ give him barakah also.
-
Many thing in this days,
everything you do,
-
Allāh ﷻ make it better and
-
more better, in shā’a Llāh.
-
In this day, of course,
-
it is many thing happen
-
but there is one thing this some people
-
they are very angry.
-
Of course, Allāh ﷻ He is Justice
-
but what happen?
-
What Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi
wa-sallam grandson,
-
Sayyidinā Husayn, ‘alayhi s-salām,
-
he become shahīd.
-
Shahīd it is the biggest
-
level of Islām
-
and he is Sayyidu l-Shuhādā'
-
meaning the top of shuhādā'.
-
So it is big.
-
He is already honoured
-
and become more honoured
with this shahādā'.
-
Because he is like whole Muslim,
-
no different between Muslim, any Muslim.
-
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi
wa-sallam his uncle also,
-
Sayyidinā Ḥamzā also become shahīd.
-
All no different, not making
-
to not, even Sayyidinā ʿAlī,
Sayyidinā Umar
-
all become shahīd.
Sayyidinā Uthman shahīd.
-
All this grand ṣaḥābah
-
they become shahīd. But what Prophet
ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying
-
here very important.
-
When shahīd he
-
some sword or bullet or anything else
-
make him shahīd, he feel this
like only very small nails.
-
This is for normal shahīd,
-
for Sayyidinā Ḥusayn it was like
-
pleasure, like happy, not even like this.
-
Allāh ﷻ make him as he is
drinking very nice thing.
-
This is for him.
-
So this is a big honour for all of us
-
because he is make shafā‘ah for,
in shā’a Llāh.
-
Not, no need to make
-
what some people they are crying.
-
Crying ok, you can cry but not
-
killing himself or hitting
each other or doing,
-
swearing to ṣaḥābah or other.
-
This is no benefit for this. Benefit only
-
to ask shafā‘ah from Shuhadā'
-
and Sayyidu l-Shuhadā'
Sayyidinā Ḥusayn and his
-
friends, his companion. This
is very important
-
because everybody they thought,
-
oh he was very
-
difficult and doing this, doing that.
-
It is nothing affect him. Every,
-
every sword or every arrow
-
coming to him, he was
feeling very pleasure.
-
No any pain, no any harm for him.
-
Only everyone, Allāh ﷻ make
him for more and more
-
higher level. Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, he is,
this is
-
what we know, what Prophet ṣallá
Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam
-
happy with us if we
-
be like this, ask for him, shafā‘ah
from him, in shā’a Llāh.
-
One shahīd giving shafā‘ah
for seventy people.
-
So Sayyidinā Ḥusayn make shafā‘ah for
-
seventy million, in shā’a Llāh, with him,
in shā’a Llāh.
-
For in Jannah to, in shā’a Llāh, make us
-
to be neighbour for him, in shā’a Llāh,
-
forever, in shā’a Llāh.
-
Wa-min Allāhi t-tawfīq, al-Fātiḥah.
