In Pradhanpali village of Redhakhol block, Sambalpur district, the local Anganwadi centre is located near Hemantakhol, across a busy highway.

Every day, children must cross this high-speed road to reach the centre, without any guardians or escort. Due to the fear of fast-moving vehicles, many children have stopped going to school altogether.

There are no safety measures in place — no zebra crossing, no speed breakers, no school zone signs — putting the lives of young children at serious risk.

This situation violates their Right to Education and Safe Childhood.
