Sue Hawk's "Snakes and Rats" Speech During Final Tribal Council of "Survivor Borneo"
-
0:01 - 0:06I have no questions. I have statements.
-
0:06 - 0:12Rich, you're an arrogant, pompous, human being.
-
0:12 - 0:16But I admire your frankness with it.
-
0:16 - 0:20You have worked hard to get where you're at
and you started working way before you come -
0:20 - 0:22to the island.
-
0:22 - 0:26So with my work ethic background, I give credit
that to you. -
0:26 - 0:33But on the other hand, your inability to admit
your failures without going into a whining -
0:34 - 0:41speech makes you a loser in life.
-
0:41 - 0:46Kelly, the raft persona queen.
-
0:46 - 0:53You did get stomped on, on national TV, by
a city boy that never swam, -
0:53 - 0:55let alone been in a woods or jungle or rowed
a boat in his life. -
0:55 - 1:01You sucked on that game.
-
1:01 - 1:05I was your friend at the beginning of this,
-
1:05 - 1:07really thinking that you were a true friend.
-
1:07 - 1:10I was willing to be sitting there and put
you next to me. -
1:10 - 1:12At that time you were sweeter than me.
-
1:12 - 1:19I'm not a very openly nice person. I'm just
frank, forward, and tell you the way it is. -
1:19 - 1:26To have you sit next to me, and me lose $900,000
just to stomp on somebody like this. -
1:26 - 1:33As the game wore on and the two tribes merged,
you lied to me, which showed me the true person -
1:35 - 1:36you are.
-
1:36 - 1:42You're two faced and manipulative to get anywhere
you are at in life. -
1:42 - 1:47That's why you fail all the time.
-
1:47 - 1:53So at that point in the game, I decided to
go out to my alliance with my family and just -
1:53 - 1:59hold my dignity and values in check and hoping
that I hadn't lost too many of them and play -
1:59 - 2:04the game as long as possible and hang in there
as long as possible. -
2:04 - 2:10But Kelly. Go back a couple of times when
Jeff said to you, 'What goes around, comes -
2:10 - 2:12around.'
-
2:12 - 2:16It's here. You will not get my vote.
-
2:16 - 2:18My vote will go to Richard.
-
2:18 - 2:23And I hope that is the one vote that makes
you lose the money. -
2:23 - 2:26If it's not, so be it.
-
2:26 - 2:29I'll shake your hand and go on from here.
-
2:29 - 2:36But if I would ever pass you along in life
and you are laying there dying of thirst, -
2:36 - 2:38I would not give you a drink of water.
-
2:38 - 2:45I would let the vultures take you and do whatever
they want with you with no ill regrets. -
2:46 - 2:53I plead to the jury tonight to think a little
bit of the island we have been on. -
2:54 - 3:01This island is full of, pretty much, only
two things - snakes and rats. -
3:02 - 3:04And in the end of Mother Nature,
-
3:04 - 3:09we have Richard The Snake, who knowingly went
after prey; -
3:09 - 3:14and Kelly, who turned into the rat that ran
around like rats do on this island, -
3:14 - 3:16trying to run from the snake.
-
3:16 - 3:23I believe we owe it to the island spirits
we have come to know to let it end in the -
3:24 - 3:25way that Mother Nature intended:
-
3:25 - 3:31For the snake to eat the rat.
