There are som really tall mountains
up here in the Northern Norway

and with tall mountains you get
deep ocean

and in the deep swim some
big ugly fish

like Halibut and cod

we're here at camp Steinfjord with
catch fishing trips

and we're gonna try to catch these
really big fish

cod and halibut are the most common
fish to catch up here in Norway

so our goal is to catch both a huge
halibut and a huge cod

what's happening? this is so sick

I can't pull anymore

we've been up here every year for
some years now

we've done some challenges before

Ullared challenge and other weird stuff

But this time it's for real

We're gonna catch a huge fish

This is where the really big fish lives

we're gonna go all in for big cod
and huge halibuts

We drove yesterday all the way to
Oslo airport

and then took a flight to Tromsoe

and then a drive up here

we've had a good nights sleep

But I had a hard time so sleep
I'm longing for big fish

There are som big fish up here i Norway

I've got my PB for biggest fish here

a 135cm Halbut and 30-35kg

as big as the kids I teach in school

Now it's my turn in the spotlight August

I also got my biggest fish here
and it's even bigger

178cm and around 80kg

I'll take the spotlight now

Those fish are nothing compared
to the fish that swim out there

And that's the fish
we're gonna catch today

we've been here with catch fishing trips
many times now

In the beginning they only had these
boats you see in the background

good fishing boats but for this year
they've made e big upgrade

New, bigger and better boats

They also have tide water so we
need to get in the boats

just kidding

but the water is low to a good
thing they have a ladder

something that's now new is that it
takes a lot of time to catch big fish

we don't know if we're gonna make it

we'll do our best

to catch these big halibuts that we wont

it's important to fish at the right
kind of tide

that tide is due later during the day

and we need to catch some baitfish

this size of baitfish is what we need

but first we'll make time go
by fishing for some cod

and see if we can catch some really big cod

we drove by a hot shallow part

where there are a lot of bait fish

to use when we fish for halibut

we'll throw down these 5 hooks

and see what we can catch

of shallow

we're at 40 meter now

I'm gonna fish with this Berkley jig

300gram, a great deep sea fishing lure

The rubber is harder which is
great if we catch a lot

It's nice to be back

This fishing in Norway is so much fun

To feel these huge fish

even though it's a lot of waves,
my view is fantastic

So right now I'm happy and grateful

after a lot of cods we felt happy about it

and wanted to fish for halibut instead

the tide was better and

and we wanted yo use our baitfish
we caught earlier

The night before the chef gave us
som tips

A big shallow sandbottom closer to
a deep part

a lot of big halibuts
had been caught there before

we took the boat and drove there
and started to rig

I have a 300gram jig head

With a stinger hook on it

And thread it like a jig

And then fish

really hot for big fish

let's go

finally ready to catch these pigs

we're driving slowly forward with
the help of the electric motor

the baitfish just bounce right
above the bottom

I just hold the rod and let's hope to
feel a bite

and be ready to do the hookset

relaxing night at the camp

with a touch of spa

so we went straight back to the camp
so we would'nt miss it

Not only bigger boats are new this year

we also have a sauna and a tub

we can reload our batteries
for another fishing day tomorrow

a big cod in the tub
