Law of Moses: Sin and Death - Law of Christ: Freedom and Life / Kingdom School - Lesson 5
-
Not SyncedWelcome to Lesson 5 of the Kingdom school.
I'm very excited to be with you. -
Not SyncedI think that this lesson
will bless you a lot. -
Not SyncedSome of you will experience
freedom today. -
Not SyncedSome of you will have never
heard this before. -
Not SyncedBut I know some people will have
an issue with what I'm sharing. -
Not SyncedBut please bear with me. You’ll see
that these things are actually biblical. -
Not SyncedLet’s start. I hope you're ready.
Lesson 4 was called: ‘Saved out of Egypt: -
Not SyncedOur journey of salvation.’
I love that lesson. -
Not SyncedI want to start now by reading
this beautiful feedback: -
Not SyncedA man wrote here: ‘Brother Torben!
I'm 72 years old. -
Not SyncedThis is the first time I've heard
the Full Gospel message like this: -
Not SyncedPreached out of the Old Testament.
That is such a great teaching. -
Not SyncedThe Church needs to hear it,
even more than the lost.’ -
Not SyncedSo, this man is 72 years old.
-
Not SyncedThis was the first time he’s heard the
gospel preached out of the Old Testament. -
Not SyncedThis comment really affected me. I
experienced the same thing in jail. -
Not SyncedGod revealed it to me in a new way: the
gospel in the Old and New Testaments. -
Not SyncedThe gospel of the Kingdom.
Much of this was new for me. -
Not SyncedThis is what the church needs. God
brought me to jail to reveal this to me. -
Not SyncedSo I get extremely excited
when I receive a comment like this. -
Not SyncedThe first four lessons:
-
Not SyncedLesson 1: The Beginning of Eden
to the new Heaven and Earth: -
Not SyncedThe Fall, Noah, and the Flood.
-
Not SyncedLesson 2: Abraham Our Father:
-
Not SyncedThis happened after the fall,
wickedness and destruction. -
Not SyncedHow God desired a people who are
His, beginning with Abraham. -
Not SyncedHe is the father of Faith - a man had
a family that later became a nation. -
Not SyncedLesson 3: I explained how that
nation was called out of Egypt. -
Not SyncedLikewise, we are called out of Babylon.
-
Not SyncedIt was called: ‘Called out of Egypt’: How
that nation was called out from Egypt. -
Not SyncedHow we today are called
out to be the Church. -
Not SyncedWe are set apart as God's holy people.
-
Not SyncedI love that lesson. I want to start
with a personal testimony. -
Not SyncedLast week, my daughter Simone got married.
-
Not SyncedHere’s a picture of the area just outside
this studio. I'm standing there, smiling. -
Not SyncedSimone and Joshua have just said “Yes”
to each other. They were so excited. -
Not SyncedThis wedding, this past week,
is the strongest picture for me of this: -
Not SyncedThe church is those who are called out.
They are holy and separated. -
Not SyncedThis wedding was holy and so beautiful.
-
Not SyncedThe fear of God was there
in a beautiful way. -
Not SyncedWhat happened just
a few hours before this? -
Not SyncedI saw my daughter Simone in her
wedding dress for the first time. -
Not SyncedHer hair was done. She had makeup on
and everything. It was so, so beautiful. -
Not SyncedHere is a one-minute video of my reaction.
-
Not SyncedFor the first time I saw my daughter
standing in the beautiful wedding dress. -
Not SyncedMy reaction surprised me.
I really broke down. -
Not SyncedI want to show you this clip
and then will continue talking it. -
Not Synced[Unclear speech and Danish, crying]
So, you can see here that I broke down. -
Not SyncedIt’s in Danish so it’s hard to understand.
Not a lot was said: -
Not Synced“You're beautiful”, “I love you Simone”,
“I love you Dad” -
Not SyncedIt was a strong experience for me.
I saw my daughter there. -
Not SyncedShe was so holy, beautiful, clean and
ready to be given away to Joshua. -
Not SyncedThis is what the bride is.
She is called-out and separated. -
Not SyncedShe is ready for her husband.
Here are some verses. -
Not SyncedPaul wrote: “For I am jealous for you
with the jealousy of God himself” -
Not SyncedGod is also jealous for His people.
-
Not Synced“I promised you as a pure bride
to one husband – Christ.” -
Not SyncedSo Paul promised the church
as a pure bride to one husband. -
Not SyncedThat husband is Christ.
Here are so many beautiful pictures. -
Not SyncedRevelation 19: “Let us be glad and
rejoice, and let us give honour to him. -
Not SyncedFor the time has come for the wedding
feast of the Lamb, and his bride” -
Not Syncedthe church “has prepared herself.”
We, the church, prepare ourselves: -
Not Synced“She has been given the finest of
pure white linen to wear” What is that? -
Not Synced“For the fine linen represents the
good deeds of God's holy people.” -
Not SyncedHere’s a photo of myself walking with
my daughter Simone. Here’s the kiss. -
Not SyncedI actually made a video about it.
This is the thumbnail. -
Not SyncedIf you’ve not seen the video, please do.
-
Not SyncedI explain that this was the first time
they’d kissed each other. -
Not SyncedHe has been living with us for four years.
-
Not SyncedThey never touched each other
intimately or kissed each other. -
Not SyncedAfter the wedding, they left.
Then these two virgins became one flesh. -
Not SyncedThe blood was spilled.
They entered into a covenant. -
Not SyncedWatch the video. Look at this wedding.
-
Not SyncedSee that we, the church, have fallen
far away from God's grace and intentions. -
Not SyncedThis wedding was an extremely
clear example of what we should be: -
Not SyncedCalled-out, holy and separated.
We should be purifying ourselves. -
Not SyncedWe’re not only invited to a wedding:
We’re the bride and living for that day. -
Not SyncedI’ll talk a lot more about the wedding
feast and God’s kingdom in another lesson. -
Not SyncedBut this is an extremely beautiful example
of the topic we’re speaking about here. -
Not SyncedThere’s a link under this video.
-
Not SyncedPlease watch my video:
“Now you may kiss the bride”. -
Not SyncedI explain that the wedding is
connected with the God’s kingdom. -
Not SyncedWe’re invited to the wedding feast.
-
Not SyncedLesson 4: The Process of Being Called
Out: The Israelites were called out. -
Not SyncedLikewise, we must remove the yeast
from our house (repentance). -
Not SyncedThere’s the blood (the cross) and
the Red Sea (baptism into Christ). -
Not SyncedThen the Israelites walked through
the wilderness toward the Promised Land. -
Not SyncedThey were guided by the
Pillar of Cloud and Fire. -
Not SyncedLikewise, we’ve received the Holy Spirit.
We walk by the Spirit toward our goal: -
Not SyncedThe heavenly Jerusalem will
come down from heaven. -
Not SyncedThose were the first four lessons. We’ll
move on now. I’ll talk about Moses today. -
Not SyncedNext time, we’ll look at the New and
Old Covenant and how they work together. -
Not SyncedToday, we’ll look at Moses
and the giving of the law. -
Not SyncedFrom the law with Moses,
to truth and grace in Christ. -
Not SyncedThere’s a difference between
the old and new covenants. -
Not SyncedLesson 5’s focus is on Freedom from sin.
-
Not SyncedWe’re called to be free
and to live holy lives. -
Not SyncedAfter a few more lessons, we’ll look at
how David is connected with God’s kingdom. -
Not SyncedThen there’ll be a permanent shift.
-
Not SyncedInstead of focussing on the nation
of Israel, we'll focus on the kingdom. -
Not SyncedI hope you're ready. I’ll pray
and then we'll start. -
Not SyncedGod, I thank You for this
revelation. I thank You for Your truth. -
Not SyncedI pray that it will bring
understanding, God. -
Not SyncedThat it will bring truth and
freedom to people, God. -
Not SyncedThat they will experience the freedom,
Jesus, that You have for them. -
Not SyncedCome with Your Holy Spirit.
Help me to share this. -
Not SyncedHelp people to receive this, God.
In the name of Jesus, Amen. -
Not SyncedLesson 5 will also be long.
I will talk about a lot of things. -
Not SyncedBut there’ll be a break in the middle,
if you need it. -
Not SyncedLesson 5: The law of Moses. There is
the word ‘Death’. That law brings death. -
Not SyncedThe law of Christ: That law brings
life. Here you can see: -
Not SyncedTrue understanding brings:
-
Not SyncedFreedom from sin, holiness, purity,
victory and eternal life. -
Not SyncedWhat happened with my daughter and
Joshua? Now you may kiss your bride. -
Not SyncedThis was the first time they kissed
and were together. -
Not SyncedThat’s the fruit of a true understanding.
It is not about an external law. -
Not SyncedIt’s actually about the heart.
This comes from a true understanding. -
Not SyncedA false understanding brings slavery to
sin, a double life and eternal death. -
Not SyncedA true understanding of what the
law means for us today, will bring that. -
Not SyncedA false understanding of
the law will bring this. -
Not SyncedA true understanding of
grace will bring this. -
Not SyncedA false understanding of
grace will bring this. -
Not SyncedSome people with a false
understanding talk a lot about the law. -
Not SyncedYou can know a tree by the fruit.
-
Not SyncedThose people are enslaved
and living a double life. -
Not SyncedBut others talk a lot about grace.
-
Not SyncedThey are also enslaved
and living a double life. -
Not SyncedThey don't have the right
understanding of it. -
Not SyncedIt’s important to say this at the start,
when we look at the law of Moses. -
Not SyncedLet’s move on: It’s possible to
divide this law into three parts: -
Not Synced1. Commandments governing
their personal lives. -
Not Synced2. Law for their social lives
with one another. -
Not Synced3. Ordination for religious lives. We can
divide the law like this. I am not a Jew. -
Not SyncedI've never been a Jew. I'm a Gentile and
a born-again believer. I'm grafted in. -
Not SyncedThe promise is mine. But I'm not a Jew.
The law was given to Israel as a nation. -
Not SyncedActually, it was never given to those who
are Gentiles and live in another country. -
Not SyncedIt's really important to understand
this concept. Right now, I’m in Mexico. -
Not SyncedI used to live in America.
-
Not SyncedIn America, you can drive through
a red light if you’re turning right. -
Not SyncedThis is not breaking the law.
But it's different in Mexico. -
Not SyncedI can’t drive through a red light and
turn right, apart from a few exceptions. -
Not SyncedIn Europe, it's even worse. There, I’m
not allowed to drive through a red light. -
Not SyncedBut here in Mexico, I can’t say, “But
they do that in Denmark. Or in America. -
Not SyncedSo, I can do it.” No. I'm here now.
It matters where you are. -
Not SyncedI can see a great lack of
understanding here. -
Not SyncedGentiles didn’t have ancestors
living in Israel. -
Not SyncedBut those Gentiles try to apply
the law of Moses to today -
Not Synced– how we should live with each other.
-
Not SyncedSome try to apply the religious
laws of offerings and sacrifices today. -
Not SyncedBut those have nothing do with us.
-
Not SyncedIt all goes wrong, if we don’t understand
to whom the law was given and when. -
Not SyncedIf we don’t understand the covenant
that it was part of. -
Not SyncedThis is extremely important.
True understanding brings freedom. -
Not SyncedYou can fall into one of two ditches,
when listening to teaching about this. -
Not SyncedOne ditch is legalism, where you try to
go under the law and become bound to it. -
Not SyncedThe other is lawlessness, where you say:
I'm not under the law of Moses. I'm free. -
Not SyncedThey don’t understand that we are under
a different law now, the law of Christ. -
Not SyncedThat law is written on your heart.
I’ll talk about that later. -
Not SyncedSo, there's a narrow road
between two ditches. -
Not SyncedOn one side is legalism, and
on the other side is lawlessness. -
Not SyncedWe’re called to live in the middle
of the road. I hope you're ready. -
Not SyncedExodus 20 is about Moses
and the Ten Commandments. -
Not SyncedExodus 19: “Now if you obey me fully”
Not 30% or half but fully -
Not Synced“and keep my covenant, then out of all
nations you'll be my treasured possession. -
Not SyncedAlthough the whole earth is mine,
-
Not Syncedyou will be for me a kingdom
of priests and a holy nation.” -
Not SyncedWhom did God say that to? The
Israelites, not the Danish or Americans. -
Not SyncedHe said that to Israel. The promise was
given to them. The law was given to them. -
Not SyncedThey needed to fully obey God’s
commands. Then He would do His part. -
Not SyncedWe read here: “The people
all responded together, -
Not Synced“We will do everything the LORD has
said.” Did they do what God had commanded? -
Not SyncedNo. But God did not give up.
Keep my commands (laws). -
Not SyncedThen you'll be my treasured possession…
a kingdom of priests, a holy nation… -
Not SyncedI’ll talk about that later. Let’s read a
longer text that describes this" -
Not SyncedWhat actually happened when the law
was given and Moses was on the mountain. -
Not SyncedThis is a very significant event compared
to others recorded in the Bible. -
Not SyncedExodus 19: “On the morning of the third
day, there was thunder and lightning, -
Not Syncedwith a thick cloud over the mountain,
and a very loud trumpet blast. -
Not SyncedEveryone in the camp trembled.”
The spectacle was frightening. -
Not Synced“Then Moses led the people
out of the camp to meet God, -
Not Syncedand they stood at the foot
of the mountain. -
Not SyncedMount Sinai was covered with smoke
because the LORD descended on it in fire. -
Not SyncedThe smoke billowed up…”
It was an incredible spectacle. -
Not Synced“As the sound of the trumpet
grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, -
Not Syncedand the voice of God answered him.”
Moses talked with God. -
Not Synced“The LORD descended to the top of
Mount Sinai and called Moses -
Not Syncedto the top of the mountain.
So Moses went up.” What a spectacle! -
Not Synced“And the LORD said to him,
“Go down and warn the people -
Not Syncedso they do not force their way through
to see the LORD and many of them perish.” -
Not SyncedSo Moses was commanded to prevent
the people from going up. -
Not SyncedOtherwise, they would die. Why?
Because this was a holy place. -
Not SyncedA holy moment. We read here:
“Even the priests, who approach the LORD, -
Not Syncedmust consecrate themselves, or
the LORD will break out against them.” -
Not SyncedSo God was there. His holiness was there.
-
Not SyncedThe other Israelites couldn’t simply
approach God like Moses could. -
Not SyncedThe priest needed to consecrate
themselves. -
Not SyncedOtherwise, God would break out
against them. Then we read: -
Not Synced“When Moses went and told the
people all the LORD's words and laws, -
Not Syncedthey responded with one voice,
“Everything the LORD has said we will do.” -
Not SyncedMoses then wrote down
everything the LORD had said.” -
Not SyncedMoses built an altar. Israelites
sacrificed offerings on it. -
Not SyncedI’m going through this quickly.
“Moses then took half of the blood… -
Not Syncedthe other he splashed against the altar.
Then he took the Book of the Covenant -
Not Syncedand read it to the people. They responded,
“We will do everything the LORD has said; -
Not Syncedwe will obey.” Moses then took the blood,
sprinkled it on the people, and said, -
Not Synced“This is the blood of the covenant that
the LORD has made with you -
Not Syncedin accordance with all these words.” So,
Moses went up to God. God spoke to Moses. -
Not SyncedMoses wrote it all down, and built
an altar. They slaughtered animals. -
Not SyncedMoses splashed half of the blood
against the altar. -
Not SyncedHe sprinkled the other half on the
people. They had replied, -
Not Synced“We will obey everything the Lord
have said.” But did they do that? -
Not SyncedNo, they didn’t. Read this:
“This is the blood of the covenant -
Not Syncedthat the LORD has made”
This points to the New Testament. -
Not SyncedJesus said, “This is my blood of
the New Covenant.” It points to Jesus. -
Not SyncedLet’s continue: “The LORD said to
Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain -
Not Syncedand stay here, and I will give you
the tablets of stone with the law -
Not Syncedand commandments I have
written for their instruction.” -
Not SyncedWhen Moses went up on the
mountain, the cloud covered it. -
Not SyncedThen Moses entered the cloud
as he went on up the mountain. -
Not SyncedAnd he stayed on the mountain
forty days and forty nights.” -
Not SyncedPlease read the whole of Exodus, because
it's very important. This is our history. -
Not SyncedIt’s not just a Jewish story. It’s our
story. All of this points to Christ. -
Not SyncedIn chapter 24, Moses went up the mountain.
-
Not SyncedIn chapters 25 to 31, are some of the
things God revealed to Moses. Chapter 25: -
Not SyncedThe Ark of the Covenant, the Table for
the Bread and the Golden Lampstand. -
Not SyncedChapter 26: The Tabernacle
(Tent of Meeting): -
Not Syncedwhere God came down later and met with
them, while they were traveling around. -
Not SyncedChapter 27: The Bronze Altar.
Chapter 28: The Priests’ Garments. -
Not SyncedChapter 29: Consecration of the Priests.
Chapter 30: The Altar of Incense. -
Not SyncedChapter 31: The Sabbath. We read
after that: “When the LORD finished -
Not Syncedspeaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave
him the two tablets of the covenant law, -
Not Syncedthe tablets of stone inscribed
by the finger of God.” -
Not SyncedBut what happened while Moses was
on the mountain in God’s presence? -
Not SyncedOnly a short time before,
the people had said, -
Not Synced“We will do everything the LORD
has said; we will obey.” -
Not SyncedBut not long after, they did the opposite,
while Moses was on the mountain. -
Not SyncedWe read here: “When the people saw
that Moses was so long in coming down -
Not Syncedfrom the mountain, they gathered
around Aaron and said, -
Not Synced“Come, make us gods who will go before us.
-
Not SyncedAs for this fellow Moses who
brought us up out of Egypt, -
Not Syncedwe don't know what has
happened to him.”” -
Not SyncedTry to imagine this situation.
They’d said, “God, we want to obey you.” -
Not SyncedThen Moses had sprinkled the blood
of the covenant on the people. -
Not SyncedMoses had gone up the mountain.
After less than 40 days, they said -
Not Synced“We don't know what’s happened
about Moses. Let's make a golden calf.” -
Not SyncedThen they broke God's law.
I’ll talk more about that later. -
Not SyncedThey actually broke the first
two of the ten commandments: -
Not SyncedYou shall have no other gods before me.
-
Not SyncedYou shan't make yourself an image in the
form of anything in heaven or on earth. -
Not SyncedYou shall not bow down to them. But that’s
what they did. They made a golden calf. -
Not SyncedWhat did they call it? “This is the
LORD who brought us out of Egypt. -
Not SyncedThis is the LORD our God, Yahweh,
who brought us out of Egypt.” -
Not SyncedThey did not change God's name
but they changed his image. -
Not SyncedWe do the same in our minds today. We
say, “We serve God, the god of the Bible. -
Not SyncedWe serve Christ Jesus.”
We don’t change God’s name. -
Not SyncedBut we change His image in our minds.
Suddenly, this is a different Jesus. -
Not SyncedA different God. I want to ask: Is your
God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? -
Not SyncedIs He the God who brought
the Israelites out of Egypt? -
Not SyncedIf not, you’ve made yourself an idol.
You are serving a different god. -
Not SyncedYou’ve done the same as the Israelites.
Many people do that today. -
Not SyncedThey serve a New Testament god,
full of grace and mercy. -
Not SyncedThey say that the Old Testament god was
evil. But the Bible is true story. -
Not SyncedI’ll talk about that later. Three thousand
people were killed that day. -
Not SyncedI’ll talk about that, shortly. Before we
continue, I want to remind you of this: -
Not SyncedThe covenants point to Christ
and the New Covenant. -
Not SyncedI want to show you these pictures
and shadows, that'll become clear to you. -
Not SyncedWe’ve looked now at Noah,
Abraham and Moses. -
Not SyncedWith Noah, the sign of the covenant
was the rainbow: -
Not SyncedA sign of hope and a new beginning
for those who were saved in the ark; -
Not Syncedthe rest perished in the waters.
With Abraham, circumcision was the sign: -
Not SyncedThe cutting of the foreskin
was a sign of the Covenant -
Not Synced- so that the people would
not be cut off from the promise. -
Not SyncedInstead, they would inherit through
Abraham. Now we have Moses. -
Not SyncedGod gave him stone tablets
with His laws written down: -
Not SyncedThe Israelites first needed
to keep His laws. -
Not SyncedThen God would make them
His treasured possession. -
Not SyncedA kingdom of priests and a holy
nation. Let's look at Christ here. -
Not SyncedWith Noah: “In Christ, we are now saved
from the waters (symbolizing baptism). -
Not SyncedWe leave behind the old life and
embrace hope for eternal life. -
Not SyncedThe ark is like Christ, in whom we are
now saved. We put off that old life. -
Not SyncedWe are saved through the water.
Now, we have hope and eternal life. -
Not SyncedAbraham and the circumcision: In
Christ, we have circumcision of the heart. -
Not SyncedWe will inherit as children of Abraham.
Moses and the stone tablets: In Christ: -
Not SyncedGod has written His laws on our hearts.
We can become God's treasured possession. -
Not SyncedA kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
This is so beautiful. -
Not SyncedEach covenant adds another part to the
picture of what we have in Christ. -
Not SyncedNow, I’ll talk about some things
in the New Testament. -
Not SyncedAfter that, we’ll return to the Old
Testament. Hebrews 9: “But when Christ -
Not Syncedcame as high priest of the good
things that are now already here, -
Not Syncedhe went through the greater
and more perfect tabernacle” -
Not SyncedChrist came as high priest and went
through a greater, more perfect tabernacle -
Not Synced“that is not made with human hands, that
is to say, is not a part of this creation. -
Not SyncedHe did not enter by means of
the blood of goats and calves; -
Not Syncedbut he entered into the Most Holy Place
once for all by his own blood, -
Not Syncedthus obtaining eternal redemption. The
blood of goats and bulls and the ashes…” -
Not Syncedcould only clean people on the outside.
All the things we have read about: -
Not SyncedMoses, the tabernacle, the priestly
garments, the high priest and the Sabbath. -
Not SyncedThese are all pictures and shadows
of a new reality that is in Christ. -
Not SyncedHe who went through the real tabernacle
in heaven. We read here: “How much more, -
Not Syncedthen, will the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself -
Not Syncedunblemished to God, cleanse our
consciences from acts that lead to death, -
Not Syncedso that we may serve the living God!”
-
Not SyncedOfferings of goats and calves and their
blood could not cleanse the conscience. -
Not SyncedBut Christ did. It's not external.
It's an internal thing, that is deep: -
Not Synced“For this reason, Christ is the mediator
of a new covenant, that those who are -
Not Syncedcalled may receive the promised eternal
inheritance - now that he has died as -
Not Synceda ransom to set them free from the sins
committed under the first covenant.” -
Not SyncedI’ll go on to explain this. “Now if you
obey me fully and keep my covenant, -
Not Syncedthen out of all nations you will
be my treasured possession… -
Not Syncedyou will be for me a kingdom of
priests and a holy nation.” -
Not SyncedThat was God’s command.
Did the Israelites fully obey God? -
Not SyncedNo. Did they break His laws? Yes.
Have you fully obeyed God? No. -
Not SyncedHave you broken His laws? Yes.
-
Not SyncedThat means that if it depended on you, you
wouldn’t become a treasured possession. -
Not SyncedNor a kingdom of priests. Nor a holy
nation. You didn’t keep the conditions. -
Not SyncedBut Christ did. In Him, we’re forgiven. In Him, we’re grafted in.
-
Not SyncedIn Him, we’re free. In Him, this belongs to us.
-
Not SyncedWhat did Peter say to the church of Jewish and Gentile believers?
-
Not SyncedThe same is true of born-again Jewish and Gentile believers today:
-
Not Synced“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
-
Not SyncedGod's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you
-
Not Syncedout of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people,
-
Not Syncedbut now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy,
-
Not Syncedbut now you have received mercy.” When you understand this, it’s really beautiful.
-
Not SyncedThe law could not do this. We all failed. We’ve all broken the law.
-
Not SyncedBut Christ kept it. In him, we become what God said. In Christ:
-
Not SyncedWe’re God's chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation.
-
Not SyncedWe’re God's special possession. I want to
say this: God hasn’t forgotten the Jews. -
Not SyncedI’ll talk about the Jews, shortly. The promise is still for them.
-
Not SyncedBut this is our reality now, in Christ.
-
Not SyncedBut not everyone in a church building, is part of the church.
-
Not SyncedNot everyone who professes a faith in God, is a child of God.
-
Not SyncedNot everyone who confesses Jesus, actually
obeys Jesus. This is really important. -
Not SyncedThe promise is real. But to receive it, you need to be fully born again.
-
Not SyncedYou need to live this new life. You need to be in Christ.
-
Not SyncedThen, this will be your reality. Let's continue reading Hebrews:
-
Not Synced“It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things
-
Not Syncedto be purified with these sacrifices”
-
Not SyncedWhat were the tabernacle in the wilderness, the sacrifices and the offerings?
-
Not SyncedThey were copies of the heavenly things.
-
Not Synced“For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands”
-
Not SyncedSo, he wasn’t like the other priests. That earthly sanctuary was a copy, a picture.
-
Not SyncedIt was different. “that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself”
-
Not SyncedWe need to understand this. Let’s continue reading. Hebrews is an amazing book.
-
Not SyncedThe author wrote about offerings. Then it’s written:
-
Not Synced“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
-
Not Syncedso Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many;
-
Not Syncedand he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation
-
Not Syncedto those who are waiting for him.” Remember this:
-
Not SyncedAt the time of Moses, the tabernacle was temporary.
-
Not SyncedIt was a copy of the real heavenly one. Like everything else, it points to Christ.
-
Not SyncedThis will get clearer as we continue. Now, we'll return to the events in Exodus.
-
Not SyncedMoses came down the mountain. The Israelites had made a golden calf.
-
Not SyncedWe read about the events beforehand: “When the people saw that Moses was so long
-
Not Syncedin coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said,
-
Not Synced“Come make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us
-
Not Syncedup out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.””
-
Not SyncedThen they took the gold rings off that their wives, sons, and daughters wore.
-
Not SyncedThey brought them to Aaron. “He took what they handed him and made it
-
Not Syncedinto an idol cast in the shape of a calf. He shaped it with a tool. Then they said,
-
Not Synced“This, Israel, is your god who brought you out of the land of Egypt.””
-
Not SyncedTry to imagine the situation. God had brought them out.
-
Not SyncedNow they’d made a golden calf that had no connection with Yahweh.
-
Not SyncedThe LORD had brought them out. They said of the golden calf:
-
Not SyncedThis is Yahweh who brought us out. They called it by His name:
-
Not Synced“Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” to Yahweh.
-
Not SyncedThey worshipped Him, in the form of a golden calf.
-
Not Synced“So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings…
-
Not SyncedThen the people sat down to eat and drink, and then they got up to play.”
-
Not SyncedPeople do this today. We call an idol using God’s name. But He's not the same.
-
Not SyncedIt's scary. I could take ten Christians in a line and ask them to say who God is.
-
Not SyncedIn some cases, they’ll have weird ideas. They are not serving the same god.
-
Not SyncedNot the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
-
Not SyncedNot the God who brought the people out of Egypt.
-
Not SyncedThey’ve made an image of a god in their minds, that suits them:
-
Not Synced“Oh, no, my God isn’t like that. He’s like this” “Then the LORD said to Moses,
-
Not Synced“Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt,
-
Not Syncedhave become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what
-
Not SyncedI commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf.
-
Not SyncedThey have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said,
-
Not Synced“This, Israel, is your god who brought you out of the land of Egypt.””
-
Not SyncedSo, God sees everything. He saw exactly what they were doing.
-
Not Synced“I have seen these people,” the LORD said to Moses.
-
Not Synced“and they are a stiff-necked people.” Notice what He said here:
-
Not Synced“Now leave me alone so that my anger may
burn against them that I may destroy them. -
Not SyncedThen I will make you into a great nation.”
-
Not SyncedWhen this happened, God wanted to destroy Israel, those he saved out of Egypt.
-
Not SyncedThey’d slaughtered the Passover lambs. He’d passed over their houses.
-
Not SyncedThey’d went through the Red Sea. A few weeks later, He was ready to destroy them.
-
Not SyncedBut He wouldn’t destroy all of them. Why? Because He’d made a promise to Abraham.
-
Not SyncedHe'll keep that – to make Abraham into a great nation.
-
Not SyncedBut whom will He keep the promise with? He wanted to destroy the Israelites.
-
Not SyncedThen He said, “I will make you, Moses, into a great nation.”
-
Not SyncedIt’s important to understand this: God gave a promise to Abraham. He'll keep it.
-
Not SyncedGod is a promise keeper. But with whom? With Abraham’s descendants.
-
Not SyncedBut not every descendant of Abraham is a child of Abraham, in that sense.
-
Not SyncedHere, He was ready to destroy everyone and then keep His promise with Moses.
-
Not SyncedGod is faithful and will do everything He has said. But the question is:
-
Not SyncedAre you part of that or not? Are we part of what God wants to do?
-
Not SyncedGod will do what He’s promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David and Jesus.
-
Not SyncedBut the question is, are we a part of that? Let's learn from this.
-
Not SyncedLet’s have a healthy fear of God in our lives, so we won't be cut off.
-
Not SyncedMany Israelites were cut off when these events happened. Moses interceded:
-
Not Synced“But Moses sought the favour of the LORD his God. “LORD,” he said,
-
Not Synced“why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt
-
Not Syncedwith great power and a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians say,
-
Not Synced“It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains
-
Not Syncedand to wipe them off the face of the earth”? Turn from your fierce anger; relent
-
Not Syncedand do not bring disaster on your people.”
Moses interceded “Remember your servants -
Not SyncedAbraham, Isaac, and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self:
-
Not Synced“I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give
-
Not Syncedyour descendants all this land I promised them… Then the Lord relented
-
Not Syncedand did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.”
-
Not SyncedReading how Moses interceded, reminds us of something:
-
Not SyncedWickedness was all over the earth but Noah found favour.
-
Not SyncedGod wanted to destroy the Israelites but Moses interceded.
-
Not SyncedThe whole world will be destroyed, but Christ can save us from that.
-
Not SyncedThis is a picture of Christ, who stood in the gap for us. It's really beautiful.
-
Not SyncedMoses intercedes and later went down from the mountain:
-
Not Synced“When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned,
-
Not Syncedand he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them into pieces…”
-
Not SyncedHe also destroyed the golden calf. Joshua was also there. We read:
-
Not Synced“that day about three thousand of the people died.” This is interesting.
-
Not SyncedWhat is the clear message here?
-
Not SyncedAs soon as the Old Covenant law was given, 3,000 people died.
-
Not SyncedAs soon as the New Covenant Spirit was given, 3,000 received new life.
-
Not SyncedThis is all connected. This all points to Christ. Exodus 32:
-
Not Synced“The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin.””
-
Not SyncedBy this time, around 3,000 people had been killed. Moses said to the rest:
-
Not Synced“You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD;
-
Not Syncedperhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”
-
Not SyncedSo Moses went back to the LORD and said, “Oh, what a great sin
-
Not Syncedthese people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold.
-
Not SyncedBut now, please forgive their sin”
-
Not SyncedThen Moses interceded in an amazing and beautiful way: “but if not,
-
Not Syncedthen blot me out of the book you have written.” Moses really stood in the gap.
-
Not SyncedHe said, “Either forgive them or blot me out of the book.” What a man! “The LORD
-
Not Syncedreplied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.””
-
Not SyncedNow, we read about the book of life.
-
Not SyncedBooks will be opened at the great judgment, at the great judgment seat:
-
Not SyncedAt the end of Revelation. I’ll talk about these books later in this series.
-
Not SyncedIt's possible to be blotted out of the book of life. People say today:
-
Not Synced“If your name is written in the book of life, everything is fine.”
-
Not SyncedThat’s true if your name is there and remains there. But what is very clear here?
-
Not SyncedThat a person can be blotted out of God's book. Then God said to Moses: “Now go,
-
Not Syncedlead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you.
-
Not SyncedHowever, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.”
-
Not SyncedSo about 3,000 people died right away. In
Lesson 3 (‘Called-out’), I explained this: -
Not SyncedThe sinful generation didn’t enter the promised land, but later punished.
-
Not SyncedIt's a very clear picture of our salvation journey. Someone commented on Lesson 3
-
Not Synced(‘Called-out’): “Yeah, but you can’t use the example of the promised land.
-
Not SyncedThere were giants in the promised land.” Yeah, we can use that example.
-
Not SyncedWhat will happen when Jesus sets up God’s kingdom on earth?
-
Not SyncedHe will need to deal with some things at the beginning. We’ll take the land.
-
Not SyncedPeople will submit under Jesus’ Lordship and rule. All will bow down at His feet.
-
Not SyncedBut there’ll be a time of judgment. The righteousness will bring peace on earth.
-
Not SyncedIt'll be cleaned up. It won’t just happen, from one day to another.
-
Not SyncedThose of us who are there, will receive heavenly bodies and rule with him.
-
Not SyncedThere’ll be a time of cleaning up. Giants
in the land is a really good picture. -
Not SyncedOther good pictures are possessing, taking and subduing the land.
-
Not SyncedI’ll talk about the promised land in a later lesson.
-
Not SyncedBut the Israelites didn’t enter in, because of disobedience. God is very serious.
-
Not SyncedSometimes, judgment come right away and sometimes it’s delayed.
-
Not SyncedThis should really create a fear of God in our lives, a healthy fear of God.
-
Not SyncedAfter this God called Moses up the mountain again. “The LORD said to Moses,
-
Not Synced“Cut out for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones, and I’ll write on
-
Not Syncedthe tablets the words which were on the first tablets which you broke.””
-
Not SyncedSo there were two sets of tablets. The first set of tablets were destroyed.
-
Not SyncedThen God called Moses up again and said, “Cut out two new tablets.
-
Not SyncedI will write the same on them.” This is very interesting.
-
Not SyncedGod wrote on the first tablets. Later, Moses made new ones. God wrote on those.
-
Not SyncedThis points forward to God writing His law on new tablets.
-
Not SyncedHe is writing His law on our hearts, not with written code on stone tablets.
-
Not SyncedHe is writing on our hearts by His Spirit. This is all about the gospel.
-
Not SyncedIt points to Christ, to the time we are living in and to God’s kingdom.
-
Not SyncedMany years after Moses, Jeremiah prophesied this: “The days are coming,”
-
Not Synceddeclares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel
-
Not Syncedand with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant”
-
Not SyncedSo, it’s not just a continuation of the Mosaic covenant. It’s different:
-
Not Synced“It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them
-
Not Syncedby the hand to lead them out of Egypt.” Why will it be different? “because
-
Not Syncedthey broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.”
-
Not SyncedSo, it’s a New Covenant. They broke the other one.
-
Not Synced“This is the covenant I'll make with the people of Israel” With Israel the nation.
-
Not SyncedNow, we’re grafted in and have received it in Christ. I’ll talk about it later.
-
Not Synced“After that time,” declares the LORD. “I'll put my law in their minds and write it”
-
Not Syncedon stone tablets? No, He’d already done that and it hadn’t worked.
-
Not SyncedThe law, written externally, brought death. It didn't work.
-
Not SyncedYou cannot obey a law as an external written code.
-
Not SyncedIt's to be written on the heart. Or it won't work: “write it on their hearts.
-
Not SyncedI'll be their God, and they'll be my people. No longer will they teach
-
Not Syncedtheir neighbour, or say to one another, “Know the LORD””
-
Not SyncedWe don’t need a human priest in order to have a relationship with God: "because
-
Not Syncedthey will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD.
-
Not Synced“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
-
Not SyncedEzekiel prophesied similar things around the same time. He added some things:
-
Not Synced“I will give them an undivided HEART and put a new spirit in them;”
-
Not SyncedSo, we read about God writing the law on our hearts.
-
Not SyncedWe read about an undivided heart and a new spirit.
-
Not Synced“I will remove from them their heart of stone”
-
Not Synced- God won’t write His law on a heart of stone. He will remove that.
-
Not SyncedHe'll then write on a new heart by the Spirit - “and give them a heart of flesh.”
-
Not SyncedThis is not a license for us to sin: “Then they will follow my decrees and be
-
Not Syncedcareful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.”
-
Not SyncedGod writes His laws on our hearts, so that we can obey Him.
-
Not SyncedNot so we can continue sinning. He did it, so we can be holy as our Father is holy.
-
Not SyncedNow you may kiss your bride.
-
Not SyncedNow you can enter into a covenant and be one flesh in a marriage.
-
Not SyncedYou can’t do that if your heart is not transformed.
-
Not SyncedIt has to come from your heart, not from an external law: “You may not….”
-
Not SyncedNo, we need a changed heart. We’ll look at that later.
-
Not SyncedI have some more slides here before we shortly have a break.
-
Not SyncedI want to talk more here about Israel as a nation.
-
Not SyncedThe fact is, the law of Moses was never actually given to Gentiles.
-
Not SyncedIt was given to Israel as a nation. These are not laws for me.
-
Not SyncedThey were for Israel as a nation. But in Christ, I am grafted into the promise.
-
Not SyncedI am not part of the physical nation of Israel.
-
Not SyncedBut I have been grafted into the promise in a spiritual sense.
-
Not SyncedI talked about in previous lessons. So now, we’re a holy people. We’re called out.
-
Not SyncedWe’re God's possession. But that doesn’t mean that God has rejected Israel.
-
Not SyncedI want to talk about that before we continue. Romans 11:25-29 is very important.
-
Not SyncedPaul writes: “Brothers and sisters, here is a mystery I want you to understand.
-
Not SyncedIt'll keep you from being proud.” But many people have rejected the Jews.
-
Not SyncedThey’re very proud: “We’re now the people of God. I am a holy nation.”
-
Not SyncedBut it's only because of Christ that you are. So please don't be proud.
-
Not SyncedRemember this: “Part of Israel” not all of
Israel. There are people who love Jesus. -
Not SyncedThey are born again and follow the Messiah Jesus.
-
Not Synced“Part of Israel has refused to obey God.” We see this today.
-
Not Synced“That will continue until the full number of non-Jews has entered God's kingdom.”
-
Not SyncedSo, at the moment they still reject God as a whole.
-
Not SyncedThis will continue until we as Gentiles have come in.
-
Not SyncedThis will create jealousy and so on. “And so all Israel will be saved.”
-
Not SyncedThere’s a hardness right now. But there’ll be a time when all Israel will be saved.
-
Not Synced“It is written, “The One who saves will come from Mount Zion.
-
Not SyncedHe will remove sin from Jacob.” God has said that. He’ll do it.
-
Not Synced“Here is my covenant with them. I will take away their sins.”
-
Not SyncedSo, this covenant has been given to the Jews. This is for our good:
-
Not Synced“As far as the gospel is concerned, the people of Israel are enemies.”
-
Not SyncedSo many of the Jews are enemies. They're not in the New Covenant.
-
Not SyncedGod’s laws are not yet written on their hearts.
-
Not SyncedThey haven’t received the spirit, nor are obeying God's laws as a whole. What is that?
-
Not SyncedThey’re enemies according to the gospel. “But as far as God's choice is concerned,
-
Not Syncedthe people of Israel are loved.” They’re still called.
-
Not Synced“That is because of God's promises to the founders of our nation.
-
Not SyncedGod does not take back his gifts.
-
Not SyncedHe does not change his mind about those he has chosen.”
-
Not SyncedSo, the nation of Israel is still chosen and called.
-
Not SyncedGod’ll establish a new covenant with them, in their hearts.
-
Not SyncedBut right now, this belongs to us. Each one of us can receive it.
-
Not SyncedA new covenant where the law is written on the heart. I will be their God.
-
Not SyncedThey'll be my people. Then they'll follow
my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. -
Not SyncedAll will know me and I will remember their sins no more.
-
Not SyncedWe’re talking here about following God’s law.
-
Not SyncedSo, should we go back and do everything God spoke to Israel as a nation? No.
-
Not SyncedThat law was given to Israel as a nation. I'm not a Jew and never have been.
-
Not SyncedI'm a Gentile. But I'm following Christ and His word.
-
Not SyncedWe need to understand that there is a change in the law. Hebrews 7:
-
Not SyncedWe read here that Jesus is in the priestly order of Melchizedek.
-
Not SyncedThere is a change in the priesthood. Please read it yourself.
-
Not Synced“For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.”
-
Not SyncedBecause of this change, we’re not bound to the written code given to Moses.
-
Not SyncedInstead, we’re bound to the law of Christ.
The law of God's written on our hearts. -
Not SyncedLet’s read a few verses from Romans. There’ll be a break shortly.
-
Not Synced“A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely
-
Not Syncedoutward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision
-
Not Syncedis circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.”
-
Not SyncedThat was the Pharisees’ problem. Jesus said this to them: “Woe to you,
-
Not Syncedteachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of
-
Not Syncedthe cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
-
Not SyncedBlind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish,
-
Not Syncedand then the outside also will be clean.” Our hearts need to be transformed.
-
Not SyncedThe law is not written on books or tablets, but on the heart.
-
Not SyncedOf course, we have a physical Bible. God is speaking to us.
-
Not SyncedBut we are loosed from the law of Moses.
-
Not SyncedI’ll talk more about that after the break and read more of Romans 6 and 7.
-
Not SyncedIn Romans 7, we read: “But now, by dying to what once bound us (the law),
-
Not Syncedwe have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit,
-
Not Syncedand not in the old way of the written code.” We’ve been released from the law.
-
Not SyncedNow we can serve in a new way. The covenant with Moses was everlasting.
-
Not SyncedHowever, it has changed (in Christ). It's not written on stone tablets.
-
Not SyncedIt’s being written on our hearts, not as a written code. The new way of the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedFrom law to grace. From death to life. I’ll talk more about that after the break.
-
Not SyncedIt's extremely important. I believe that this will set you free.
-
Not SyncedYou’ll understand that you don't need to be under the law anymore.
-
Not SyncedYou can be under grace. You can walk in freedom and listen to the Spirit in you.
-
Not SyncedSo let's take a break here [Music] We’re back again. This’ll be very interesting.
-
Not SyncedI hope you're ready for this. We’ll continue in Romans. We see the cross here.
-
Not SyncedI already talked about it in Romans 6. But we’ll read it again.
-
Not SyncedBear in mind the law given with Moses: “Don’t touch this. Don’t eat that food etc.”
-
Not SyncedRomans 6: “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus
-
Not Syncedwere baptized into his death?” So, a death takes place when we are baptized.
-
Not SyncedWe’re baptized into Christ’s death. Death is important. Bear that in mind.
-
Not Synced“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,
-
Not Syncedjust as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father,
-
Not Syncedwe too may live a new life.” We’re baptized into His death. That’s important. Why?
-
Not SyncedBecause we’re only bound to a law, as long as you live.
-
Not SyncedBut when we die, we’re loosed from that law. Romans 6 and 7 focus on that.
-
Not Synced“Because anyone who had died has been set free from sin.”
-
Not SyncedBut this is not only about sin. The law is connected with sin.
-
Not SyncedHere’s something important. Romans 7: “Do you not know, brothers and sisters
-
Not Synced- for I am speaking to those who know the law - that the law has authority
-
Not Syncedover someone only as long as that person lives? For example, by law a married woman
-
Not Syncedis bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is
-
Not Syncedreleased from the law that binds her to him.” Why does Paul write about this?
-
Not SyncedRomans 6 - 8 is about the new life and freedom from the law of sin and death.
-
Not SyncedPaul not only teaches about marriage and divorce, but also about the law.
-
Not SyncedIt’s an example to show this: We’re bound to the law as long as we live.
-
Not SyncedBut we can read beforehand that we're baptized into Christ, into His death.
-
Not SyncedThe baptism is a death. The law was never given to me as a Gentile.
-
Not SyncedI'm not physically part of Israel. I was without hope in this world.
-
Not SyncedI was lost without hope and without God. But the law is also spiritual.
-
Not SyncedIn that sense, it’s working in everyone.
-
Not SyncedWhen we start to sin, you become a slave to that sin.
-
Not SyncedThe law is at work in a way we don’t realise.
-
Not SyncedTo take an example, imagine that you’re going to stay at someone’s house.
-
Not SyncedThe person says, “Hey, you can stay at my house. Here's the kitchen.
-
Not SyncedJust take some breakfast in the morning. Here are all the things you can take.
-
Not SyncedYou can eat anything you want. But you’re not allowed to open this closet.
-
Not SyncedIt’s very important that you don’t open it.”
-
Not SyncedIf someone tells you not to do something, what happens?
-
Not SyncedYou’ll think, “Why can’t I open that closet?”
-
Not SyncedWhen we’re told not to do something, something happens inside us.
-
Not SyncedFor example, imagine a man going to a Walmart.
-
Not SyncedBefore he goes in, he repeats to himself, “Don’t look with lust on a woman”.
-
Not SyncedWhat will happen? He’ll go in and continue thinking of that.
-
Not SyncedIn the end, he’ll look at a woman. It doesn’t work. That law doesn't bring freedom.
-
Not SyncedBut Christ brings freedom. If we’re bound to the law of sin and death, it works in us.
-
Not SyncedWe’re bound to that law as long as we live. That's why we need to die.
-
Not SyncedRead Romans 6 about dying to the law. We’re dead to the law.
-
Not SyncedWe're not under the law. We are freed or loosed from the law. We read here:
-
Not Synced“For sin shall no longer be your master” Sin won’t have authority over us.
-
Not SyncedWhy not? Because the law only has authority over a person as long as he lives.
-
Not SyncedBut in baptism, we die. It's no longer we who live, but Christ.
-
Not SyncedSo the law of sin and death has no authority over me.
-
Not Synced“For sin shall no longer be your master” Why not?
-
Not Synced“because you are not under the law” You’re dead to the law “but under grace”
-
Not SyncedSo, the law came with Moses. Grace and truth came with Christ.
-
Not SyncedMany people try to follow Christ by trying to keep the law of Moses.
-
Not SyncedThey don’t realise that they’ve been loosed from that law.
-
Not SyncedThat's when they were baptized into Christ. They entered into a new covenant.
-
Not SyncedIt’s not about the written code written on stones, what's written on your heart.
-
Not SyncedThat’s where true freedom is. Let’s continue: Under the law, sin was our master.
-
Not SyncedUnder grace, you're baptized into Christ. You’re dead to the law and alive in Christ.
-
Not SyncedYou’re free from the law and the sin that once kept you enslaved.
-
Not SyncedIf you’re a slave to sin, you’re still not under grace.
-
Not SyncedRemember that true grace is not a cover up for sin.
-
Not SyncedTrue Grace empowers us to live a new life, free from sin.
-
Not SyncedYou can still be a Christian and have your mind set on Egypt.
-
Not SyncedThat’s because you’ve never really left.
-
Not SyncedIt's time to leave and live a new life by the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedI’m saying here that many Christians are still under the law.
-
Not SyncedThey’re still trying to obey the law instead of living by the spirit.
-
Not SyncedThey’re not living the new way of the spirit.
-
Not SyncedTheir minds are still set on the old ways of Egypt. They’re never really left.
-
Not SyncedThey haven’t experienced the freedom, where the law's truly written on their hearts.
-
Not SyncedThe ministry we bring, should set people free.
-
Not SyncedPaul wrote about this ministry we’ve been given. 2 Corinthians 3:
-
Not Synced“You show that you're a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry,
-
Not Syncedwritten not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone
-
Not Syncedbut on tablets of human hearts.” So our ministry's so different from the law of Moses.
-
Not SyncedThat was the old covenant written on stones. Now, we have a new ministry.
-
Not SyncedA new way. God’s laws are written on the human heart by the spirit of the Living God.
-
Not SyncedPaul continues: “Now if the ministry that brought death”
-
Not SyncedWhat happened when the law of Moses was given? 3,000 died right away.
-
Not SyncedThat ministry brought death “which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory,
-
Not Syncedso that the Israelites could not look
steadily at the face of Moses -
Not Syncedbecause of its glory, transitory though it was, will not this ministry of the Spirit
-
Not Syncedbe even more glorious?” Of course. “If
the ministry that brought condemnation” -
Not Syncedbringing death and condemnation “was
glorious, how much more glorious is -
Not Syncedthe ministry that brings righteousness!”
We have the ministry of the new covenant. -
Not SyncedThis doesn't bring condemnation. It can truly cleanse our conscience.
-
Not SyncedIt can bring righteousness. Then we’re free, not to live in condemnation.
-
Not SyncedWe’re free from the law, free to live by the spirit.
-
Not SyncedYou need to receive this through the new birth, by faith.
-
Not SyncedI'm going to share a personal testimony and experience shortly:
-
Not Synced“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses,
-
Not Syncedwho would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end
-
Not Syncedof what was passing away.” So, the law of Moses was passing away.
-
Not SyncedMoses’ face was veiled, so the Israelites
wouldn’t see it. "But their minds were -
Not Syncedmade dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read.”
-
Not SyncedAlso today when people read about Moses and the old Covenant,
-
Not Syncedthere’s a veil over their faces. So, they don’t understand it:
-
Not Synced“It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.”
-
Not SyncedMany read the law in the Bible. They have
a blindness. They don’t understand it. -
Not SyncedOnly in Christ, is the blindness taken away. Some people have a fear.
-
Not SyncedThey say: “We need law. If we don’t, people will live in sin.”
-
Not SyncedBut what happened with the law? Did the law help people to live holy lives?
-
Not SyncedDid the Israelites live holy lives because they had the law? No.
-
Not SyncedBut God gave a new spirit and wrote a new law in our hearts.
-
Not SyncedSo, we’ll obey God's decree and follow His laws. How do we live that holy life?
-
Not SyncedNot by following Moses, but by following Christ by the spirit. Paul continues:
-
Not Synced“But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
-
Not SyncedNow the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
-
Not SyncedFreedom. You need to receive this by the Spirit. Here's some examples.
-
Not SyncedI heard the gospel for the first time from my friend Tommy.
-
Not SyncedI told him, he was brainwashed. I couldn't
see it. I said, he was brainwashed. -
Not SyncedIt was wrong. He was in a cult. He should be careful.
-
Not SyncedI thought that he was crazy and brainwashed.
-
Not SyncedI thought that I needed to help him and save him out of that cult. I didn't see it.
-
Not SyncedA few days later, I got born again. My eyes opened. The veil was taken away.
-
Not SyncedThen my father told me, “Torben, you’re brainwashed. It’s a cult.”
-
Not SyncedMy father couldn’t see it. Why? Because he still had a a veil over his face.
-
Not SyncedHe couldn’t see it. I told him, “Father, you’re saying what I said to Tommy.
-
Not SyncedBut it's the truth. I see it now.” Before I was blinded, like my father was blinded.
-
Not SyncedBut some years later, he repented. Then he saw it.
-
Not SyncedThis happens when someone truly repents and is born again. Their eyes open.
-
Not SyncedHowever, my mind was still set on Egypt for the first years of my Christian life.
-
Not SyncedI did not understand that I had buried the old life in the baptism.
-
Not SyncedThat I had died to the law of sin and death, and wasn’t bound to it anymore.
-
Not SyncedI was free from sin. I didn't need to be a slave anymore.
-
Not SyncedDuring the first six years of my Christian life, I was repenting.
-
Not SyncedThe law was written on my heart. I had received a new spirit.
-
Not SyncedMany things in my life changed. But in some areas, I was not free.
-
Not SyncedI kept falling into the same sins. I felt, I was becoming a slave of sin again.
-
Not SyncedI was not free. Then one day I read Romans 6. I really understood it.
-
Not SyncedGod revealed it to me by the Spirit: “Hey, I'm dead to the law! I'm free!
-
Not SyncedI don't need to sin anymore! The law is spiritual!”
-
Not SyncedSo, this broke down something wrong inside me.
-
Not SyncedI realised, I wasn’t not under the law of sin and death anymore.
-
Not SyncedI'm free to follow Christ. This gave me a totally new freedom.
-
Not SyncedI've been free ever since for many years. It doesn't mean that I'm sinless.
-
Not SyncedWe can still do wrong things. But then we feel convicted right away.
-
Not SyncedWe ask God for forgiveness. He’s faithful to forgive us. Then we move on.
-
Not SyncedBut I'm not bound. I don’t ask for forgiveness, and repeat the sin 2 weeks later.
-
Not SyncedI don’t feel like a slave to sin. No. I feel free. I'm not focused on the law.
-
Not SyncedI'm don’t do into a mall, tell myself repeatedly, “Don't look at woman” and fail.
-
Not SyncedI'm free to go into the mall. I focus on Christ. I don’t think like this:
-
Not Synced“Don't touch! Don't watch! Don't do this or that!” I'm free to follow Christ.
-
Not SyncedYou need a revelation so you can really experience that freedom.
-
Not SyncedThen you can love Jesus, walk by the spirit and occasionally do something wrong.
-
Not SyncedI don't have the ten commandments written in my phone or on a poster.
-
Not SyncedWhy not? Because I'm not under the law. It's written in my heart.
-
Not SyncedI'm following Christ and obeying His words. I read His words.
-
Not SyncedBut if I do, say or think something wrong, I feel it right away: “Oh, I know it.”
-
Not SyncedNo one needs to teach me to know the Lord and to do different things. I know Him.
-
Not SyncedI feel it in my heart. Why? Because the law’s written on my heart. I get convicted.
-
Not SyncedFrom this perspective, the Christian life is actually really easy:
-
Not SyncedDon't follow the law of Moses. Listen to Christ and obey His word.
-
Not SyncedListen to the Spirit, God has given you. Follow the Holy Spirit.
-
Not SyncedIf Holy Spirit says, “Don't say that. Don't look at that. Don’t look at this.
-
Not SyncedDon’t look at that” then stop doing it. Listen to the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedLet the Spirit guide you through the wilderness toward the promised land.
-
Not SyncedLet the Holy Spirit guide you. God speaks to us about different things.
-
Not SyncedWe really need to follow God and live in that freedom. 1 Corinthians:
-
Not Synced“He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant
-
Not Synced- not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
-
Not SyncedThe letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
-
Not SyncedWhat happened when the law was given on Mount Sinai? 3,000 were killed.
-
Not SyncedWhat happened when the Spirit was given on Pentecost in Jerusalem?
-
Not SyncedThree thousand received new life. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
-
Not SyncedWe read that in Acts 2: “Those who accepted the message were baptized,
-
Not Syncedand about three thousand were added to their number that day.”
-
Not SyncedWhen did that happen? On Pentecost, Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks.
-
Not SyncedAt that time, Israelites from all over Israel came to Jerusalem to celebrate what?
-
Not SyncedThe giving of the law. It happened on that day, not a week or month before.
-
Not SyncedSo, when we read about Moses and the law, we read about temporary things.
-
Not SyncedThese are just pictures that point to Christ and the New Covenant.
-
Not SyncedToday, we are under the New Covenant.
-
Not SyncedSadly, many people today are more interested in following the law than the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedThey don't have the Spirit. So, they follow the law. You need to be born again.
-
Not SyncedYou need the Holy Spirit. It must come from your heart. Walking by the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedLive a life with a clean conscience.
-
Not SyncedIf you step out of God's plan, you’ll feel it in your heart.
-
Not SyncedThen you must return to the narrow road.
-
Not SyncedBut if you stop listening to the Spirit and go into the law, you’ll become bound.
-
Not SyncedYou’ll walk away from Christ and the road that leads to righteousness.
-
Not SyncedI've seen so many people start in the spirit but end in the flesh, under the law.
-
Not SyncedWe are loosed from the law. I don't keep the Sabbath. People tell me,
-
Not Synced“You need to keep the Sabbath.” They only read some of the verses.
-
Not SyncedWhat did God say? Keep the Sabbath. Have one day of rest per week.
-
Not SyncedNo, he also told them to work six days.
-
Not SyncedBut most people I know who are eager to keep Sabbath, don’t work six days.
-
Not SyncedThey work five days. Why do they do that? How can people say,
-
Not Synced“Oh, we keep the Sabbath. This is our Sabbath” if they only work five days?
-
Not SyncedGod didn’t say that. He told them to work six days and take one day off.
-
Not SyncedThis law was never given to Gentile. It was given to the Israelites.
-
Not SyncedThis doesn’t mean, I can’t learn from it. It is important. I do some things.
-
Not SyncedSometimes the Holy Spirit tells me to rest one day. I have a day that I take off.
-
Not SyncedI don't work seven days and then start a new week of seven days. We need rest.
-
Not SyncedBut this is not because of the Mosaic law. It’s not an obligation or a law.
-
Not SyncedIt’s nothing to do with righteousness.
-
Not SyncedIt just shows us that God want us also to rest and take time with him.
-
Not SyncedDon't be too busy. We need to understand this rightly.
-
Not SyncedBut some people are so fixed on keeping the Mosaic law.
-
Not SyncedBut the Sabbath law said that people shouldn’t light a fire on that day.
-
Not SyncedDo you do that? At that time, they lit fires using wood.
-
Not SyncedDo you turn on the oven on the Sabbath?
-
Not SyncedIf you start going down that road, you’ll suddenly become bound.
-
Not SyncedIf you keep a little of the law, you’re obligated to keep it all.
-
Not SyncedChrist kept it for us, to set us free from the law: Not that we could live in sin.
-
Not SyncedIt was so we could walk by the Spirit in freedom. Listen to this. Romans 2:
-
Not Synced“All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law,
-
Not Syncedand all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.”
-
Not SyncedSo, if we sin apart from the law we’ll perish apart from the law.
-
Not SyncedIf we sin under the law, we’ll be judged by the law.
-
Not SyncedThis refers to Jews and Gentiles.
-
Not Synced“For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight,
-
Not Syncedbut it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.
-
Not Synced(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law” as the law wasn’t given to us
-
Not Synced“do by nature the things required by the law, they are a law for themselves,
-
Not Syncedeven though they do not have the law.)
-
Not SyncedThey show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts”
-
Not SyncedHow do we obey the law?
-
Not SyncedLove God with all your heart and love your
neighbour as yourself. What is the law? -
Not SyncedWhat is the heart of the law? “written on their hearts,
-
Not Syncedtheir consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes
-
Not Syncedaccusing them and at other times even defending them.”
-
Not SyncedThis is extremely important. Gentiles are not under the law.
-
Not SyncedIt was never given to them.
-
Not SyncedWe’ll still be judged even if we’re not under the law - if we live in sin.
-
Not SyncedBut those Gentiles who are born again, have the Christ's law written on the heart.
-
Not SyncedThey have a conscience. The conscience bears witness.
-
Not SyncedSometimes our thoughts accuse us and other times they defend us.
-
Not SyncedI'm free. I'm free to eat things. I don’t think about the Sabbath.
-
Not SyncedWhen I was born again, the law was written on my heart.
-
Not SyncedI have never felt when I make food on a Sabbath (or a Saturday): “I can’t do this.”
-
Not SyncedI’ve never felt that I can’t do a kickstart or training on that day.
-
Not SyncedI’ve never felt condemned in that area. It's not written on my heart.
-
Not SyncedIt’s the same with head coverings. We need to understand the context.
-
Not SyncedI’ll talk about that later.
-
Not SyncedI've never met anyone who had just received the Holy Spirit and God’s love, saying:
-
Not Synced“The Holy Spirit shows me that I need to cover my head. I can’t work on the Sabbath.
-
Not SyncedI have to do this. I can’t play cards. I have to wear a long dress.”
-
Not SyncedI never met someone who said that that is written on their heart.
-
Not SyncedBut then people read the law and get confused: “Oh no! I need to do this and that.”
-
Not SyncedCondemnation comes. Then they try to keep the law.
-
Not SyncedThis leads them away from the pure and narrow road in Christ.
-
Not SyncedThey try to do this, not to do that, not to eat that and all the rest.
-
Not SyncedBut I have been convicted in my heart many times.
-
Not SyncedI had said, done or looked at something wrong.
-
Not SyncedFor example, after I got born again, I slept with my girlfriend.
-
Not SyncedI felt so condemned: What have I done? Red light, red light, sin, sin, sin!
-
Not SyncedI knew it was sin. I did not need to read it in the Bible.
-
Not SyncedI hadn’t read that yet, but it was written on my heart.
-
Not SyncedThis happens with so many other things.
-
Not SyncedFor example, if I say something wrong or reply in anger, I feel condemned.
-
Not SyncedIt happened once when I was in jail. You can read my book, if you haven’t already.
-
Not SyncedThere was a nasty guard in jail, who was not nice.
-
Not SyncedThey came in and checked us, when we were sitting in there.
-
Not SyncedThey scanned our card for their records.
-
Not SyncedFor a long time, we’d been allowed to leave some food to eat later.
-
Not SyncedBut he suddenly changed all the rules and they took all our food away.
-
Not SyncedHe was nasty. I remember sitting there in my cell. He opened my cell and came in.
-
Not SyncedHe wanted to scan my card.
-
Not SyncedHe had just taken some food away or something like that.
-
Not SyncedI felt irritated. He said, “Give me your card” [Showing irritation] “Here”
-
Not SyncedHe said, “Don't be so nasty.” I just took the card out of his hand.
-
Not SyncedI was just irritated. Then he moved on.
-
Not SyncedAs soon as I reacted like that, I felt that it was wrong of me.
-
Not SyncedI asked God to forgive me for reacting like that.
-
Not SyncedI have many examples like that. It’s because of my conscience.
-
Not SyncedBut other times, I stand up, preach and do things.
-
Not SyncedThen my conscience bears witness that all is good.
-
Not SyncedBut other times, I feel that I shouldn’t have done something.
-
Not SyncedI've seen that happening with other people.
-
Not SyncedWhen anyone is at the start of their new life, they have a clean conscience.
-
Not SyncedThe Holy Spirit teaches, helps and purifies them.
-
Not SyncedBut then I see them suddenly turning away from that, going under the law.
-
Not SyncedThey start trying to keep the rules and guidelines, and get confused.
-
Not SyncedThat doesn’t lead to holiness.
-
Not SyncedSuddenly they feel condemned, whereas before they did not:
-
Not Synced“Oh, I cannot drive. I cannot wear a dress. I have to cover my head.
-
Not SyncedI cannot do this or that.” They start to feel condemned all the time.
-
Not SyncedWhy? Because they're going back under the law.
-
Not SyncedThey don't know that they're in a New Covenant and are free from the law.
-
Not SyncedI want to do a Q&A video very soon.
-
Not SyncedI know that many people are asking questions about this topic.
-
Not SyncedPlease come with your questions. I'll do a Q&A video.
-
Not SyncedLesson 6 will be about Hagar and Sarah.
-
Not SyncedI’ll talk much more about the spirit, the flesh, the law, grace and freedom etc.
-
Not SyncedI’ll go over all of this, because it’s new for many of you.
-
Not SyncedYou’re saying, “Torben, what are you saying?
-
Not SyncedAre you saying that we don't need to obey the law of Moses?” Yes, I am.
-
Not Synced“Are you saying that we’re just free to live the way we want to?” No, I'm not.
-
Not SyncedYou're free to walk by the spirit. You’re free to listen to your conscience.
-
Not SyncedKeep your conscience clean, above all things.
-
Not SyncedIf your conscience starts to condemn you, do something about it.
-
Not SyncedBut don’t do it in your own strength.
-
Not SyncedAsk God to give you a revelation of who you are in Christ.
-
Not SyncedListen to these verses in 1 John. This lesson is almost finished.
-
Not Synced
-
Not SyncedBut this is important: “Dear friends, now we are children of God,
-
Not Syncedand what we will be has not yet been made known.
-
Not SyncedBut we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him,
-
Not Syncedfor we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him” That is our hope.
-
Not SyncedWe’re invited to a wedding. We, the bride, need to purify ourselves
-
Not Synced“purify themselves, just as he is pure.
-
Not SyncedEveryone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
-
Not SyncedBut you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins.
-
Not SyncedAnd in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.”
-
Not SyncedThat is the secret. Live in Christ. “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.”
-
Not SyncedThis doesn’t mean that we can never sin. But we are not to keep on sinning.
-
Not SyncedThat’s not how we live.
-
Not Synced“No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”
-
Not SyncedMany people who sit in church buildings, don’t really know Him
-
Not Synced- they keep on sinning.
-
Not Synced“Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray.
-
Not SyncedThe one who does what is right is righteous”
-
Not SyncedIt's not so much about what we believe, but what we do “just as he is righteous.
-
Not SyncedThe one who does what is sinful is of the devil,
-
Not Syncedbecause the devil has been sinning from the beginning.
-
Not SyncedThe reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
-
Not SyncedNo one who is born of God will continue to
sin, because God's seed remains in them;” -
Not SyncedGod’s law is written on our hearts.
-
Not SyncedHis seed is the Spirit we’ve now received, the word of God.
-
Not Synced“they cannot go on sinning because they have been born of God.”
-
Not SyncedIt's not about praying the sinner's prayer. It's about the new birth.
-
Not Synced“This is how we know who the children of God are
-
Not Syncedand who the children of the devil are:” The way we live.
-
Not Synced“Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child,
-
Not Syncednor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.”
-
Not SyncedSo, let’s close this lesson. What do we need to do?
-
Not SyncedRepent and be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit.
-
Not SyncedThen: Know that you are free from the law of sin and death. Pray.
-
Not SyncedAsk God to reveal this truth to you. You need to live it by faith.
-
Not SyncedIt’s a revelation. I am free. Yes. I don't need to sin anymore.
-
Not SyncedYou are dead to the law. You are free.
-
Not SyncedKnow, you're free from the law of sin and death that once bound and enslaved you.
-
Not SyncedBelieve it. Understand that Christ has set you free.
-
Not SyncedNow walk by the Spirit in a new life. Paul wrote so clearly about the law:
-
Not Synced“Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself
-
Not Synceda slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”
-
Not SyncedNow, he wrote something interesting here: “To the Jews, I became like a Jew,
-
Not Syncedto win the Jews. To those under the law, I became like one under the law
-
Not Synced(though I myself am not under the law)”
-
Not SyncedPaul wrote that he became like them when he was with them.
-
Not SyncedHe became like them to win them. But he wasn’t under the law.
-
Not SyncedMe, neither. I'm not under the law. I'm free from the law.
-
Not SyncedYou're free from the law. We are free from the law. Why?
-
Not SyncedBecause we’re dead to the law. The law bound us as long we lived.
-
Not SyncedBut it's no longer I who live, it’s Christ who lives. I'm dead to the law.
-
Not SyncedWhat does that mean, to not be under the law? Are we without law? No.
-
Not SyncedPaul continues: “To those not having the law, I became like one not having the law
-
Not Synced(though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ’s law)”
-
Not SyncedPaul wrote in one place that he wasn’t under the law.
-
Not SyncedIn another place, he said he wasn’t free from God's law, but under Christ’s law.
-
Not SyncedWhat does that mean? We're not under the law of sin and death, that Moses brought.
-
Not SyncedBut we’re under the law of Christ. What is that?
-
Not SyncedThat is to listen to Him and His word.
-
Not SyncedLaw is not only written commandments written in the Bible.
-
Not SyncedIt is what Jesus said. Read what Jesus said.
-
Not SyncedDid he say, “If you love me, keep what Moses said.” No, He didn’t say that.
-
Not SyncedHe said “If you love me, keep my commands…”
-
Not SyncedSome people are very eager to keep the Mosaic law.
-
Not SyncedThey keep the feasts, the food laws, the Sabbath and the dress code.
-
Not SyncedBut they are not eager to keep Jesus’ law: Love your neighbour as yourself.
-
Not SyncedGo out and make disciples. Preach the gospel. Obey Christ.
-
Not Synced“If you love me, keep my commands.” Jesus said. I need to finish the lesson here:
-
Not Synced“So the law” with Moses “was our guardian until Christ came
-
Not Syncedthat we might be justified by faith.
-
Not SyncedNow that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.”
-
Not SyncedWe're now in faith. “So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith,
-
Not Syncedfor all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
-
Not SyncedWe can say it like this: You are baptized into Christ’s death.
-
Not SyncedTherefore, you're no longer bound to the law. You don't need a guardian anymore.
-
Not SyncedYou are now in Christ. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free…
-
Not SyncedIf you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed”.
-
Not SyncedSo, I’ll finish the lesson now. Old Covenant (Moses): Until Christ.
-
Not SyncedLaw on stone tablets. Written code. Brought death. Could not obey the old way.
-
Not SyncedGod rejected the whole generation.
-
Not SyncedDid not inherit the Promised Land but Joshua brought the next generation in.
-
Not SyncedJoshua’s and Jesus’ names are directly related.
-
Not SyncedMoses could not bring them into the promised land but Joshua did.
-
Not SyncedThe law cannot bring you into the kingdom of God but Jesus can.
-
Not SyncedThe law is good if we use it the rightly: to reveal sin so we can come to Christ.
-
Not SyncedBut in baptism, we die to the law. New Covenant (Jesus): Everlasting covenant.
-
Not SyncedLaw is written on hearts of flesh. New way by the Spirit. Brought life.
-
Not SyncedCan now obey in the new way.
-
Not SyncedWe’ll one day enter into the Promised Land:
-
Not SyncedIf we are victorious and continue in Christ.
-
Not SyncedJesus fulfilled the law’s requirements. We are now: God's treasured possession.
-
Not SyncedA kingdom of priests. A holy nation. But it's not complete yet.
-
Not SyncedWe will be those things one day when he comes.
-
Not SyncedThen we’ll rule with Him here on earth. A few more verses:
-
Not Synced“Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…
-
Not Syncedbecause through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life
-
Not Syncedhas set us free from the law and sin and death.”
-
Not SyncedWhen you’re in Christ, you are under the law of the spirit written on your heart.
-
Not SyncedYou’re set free from the law of sin and death.
-
Not Synced“For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,
-
Not SyncedGod did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.
-
Not SyncedAnd so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement
-
Not Syncedof the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh
-
Not Syncedbut according to the Spirit.” So, get born again. Live by the spirit.
-
Not SyncedListen to the Holy Spirit. When your heart condemns you, repent.
-
Not SyncedDon't try to live by the law of Moses and go under the law.
-
Not SyncedThat’ll bring condemnation and death. Live in the New Covenant, by the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedObey Jesus. If you love Him, keep His commands and you will live.
-
Not SyncedI’ll pray for you. God, I thank You for everyone who’s seen this.
-
Not SyncedI pray that this will bring freedom to them. Freedom from the law.
-
Not SyncedFreedom to live a holy life as You are holy.
-
Not SyncedFreedom to live by the Spirit. I pray that everyone will understand this:
-
Not SyncedWhen we are baptized, Jesus, we are baptized into Your death.
-
Not SyncedIt's no longer I who live, but it's You who lives.
-
Not SyncedA woman is only bound to the law, as long as that person is alive.
-
Not SyncedBut when we die, we’re loosed from that law.
-
Not SyncedWe're free to be married to somebody else. Christ Jesus is our bridegroom.
-
Not SyncedHelp us to purify ourselves. Purify us by the Spirit.
-
Not SyncedHelp us to walk by the Spirit, without condemnation.
-
Not SyncedThen, one day, Jesus, we’ll inherit this earth together with You.
-
Not SyncedThank You for what You're doing. I pray that it will bring freedom to people.
-
Not SyncedCome and speak to people out there through this. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
-
Not SyncedSee you next time. Come with your questions.
-
Not SyncedI'll do a Q&A video soon where I will answer some of them. God bless you.
-
Not SyncedLet's live the new life by the Spirit that God has for all of us. Bye bye.
