Nora on belonging

One big change for me after teaching

is realising: I can do it.

That's a big change for me.

I feel more confident

knowing I'm there.

I thought I wasn't,

but I'm there.

I still have a long way to to of course

but I'm on the right path.

I feel that...

I can belong in academic spaces.

That's not a given for everyone.

I was teaching the basics

and realised: if that is the basics

I thought I learned the basics recently

but I realised I learned them a long time ago.

I've come far

I know what I know

if that makes sense?

It's easy to just go about everyday life

and see all the things you don't know yet.

But sometimes you need to look back

on the knowledge you already have.

That helped me a lot.
