This is the New Testament I received from the Gideons 50 years ago and my friend wrote my name in it. I wrote his name in his one.

I didn't know then that I would even be a believer, much less could I have suspected I would become a Gideon myself.

There are very few Gideons left in England today. I think at one point it got down to one man, and is growing back up now. And Gideons are only rarely welcomed into schools the way they were when I was eleven and the whole first year were given a NT each in a special assembly at which the Headmaster spoke as well as the representatives of The Gideons International.
