COBIT, COSO and ITIL - Summary and Differences - CISSP - Security and Risk Management

So I'm gonna give a super brief summary

of what COBIT, COSO, and ITIL are. In fact,

I don't even know if those are, if those

are, those acronyms are pronounced

correctly but and this comes

essentially from Kelly Handerhan's

Cybrary videos. So super brief, this is as

much as I'm gonna understand about these

topics for the CISSP exam. And the

differences are that COBIT and COSO are

both frameworks that try and figure out

what the goals are. COBIT is more IT

related. COSO is overall security goals,

so it's what are the goals that are

necessary, what they're looking at to do

versus ITIL which is how the goals are

going to be implemented. So COBIT and

COSO are what the goals are and ITIL are

how the goals are going to be

implemented. And those are the

differences.
