जौनपुर जनपद के रामनगर ब्लॉक के कुम्भापुर गांव में सरकार की बहुप्रचारित स्वच्छ भारत मिशन की असल तस्वीर कुछ और ही बयां करती है। गांव के लगभग 75 घर आज भी शौचालय विहीन हैं, जिसके कारण लोगों को खुले में शौच के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ता है। यह स्थिति न केवल स्वास्थ्य के लिहाज से खतरनाक है, बल्कि महिलाओं और लड़कियों की सुरक्षा के लिए भी गंभीर चिंता का विषय है। ग्रामीणों ने कई बार ग्राम प्रधान और संबंधित अधिकारियों से शिकायत की, लेकिन कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाया गया। खासकर महिलाओं को अंधेरे या तड़के खेतों में जाना पड़ता है, जिससे उन्हें शर्मिंदगी, असुरक्षा और संक्रमण का खतरा झेलना पड़ता है। यह स्थिति साफ दर्शाती है कि जब तक जमीनी स्तर पर योजनाओं को सही ढंग से लागू नहीं किया जाता, तब तक बदलाव अधूरा रहेगा।
