-
This morning, around ten a.m., I suddenly started hearing the sound of the rain.
-
[man of God makes rain sound – shhhhhh]
-
You know, it started raining. Many of you who came early saw the rain, right?
-
Yes, at that moment, the Holy Spirit ministered to my heart and said,
-
Look, just a little rain, and you'll see that many will not come today because of it.
-
And from there, I realised that when it comes to the things of the Spirit, we are too weak.
-
We need to get stronger. So, a little rain... and the focus was broken.
-
And this brings me to today's message, which is: “Don't lose your focus.”
-
So, it doesn't matter what you've been through in your life. What matters is that you are in communion with Jesus Christ.
-
Joseph was taken to Egypt, where he was sold as a slave.
-
There, a man named Potiphar bought him from the Ishmaelites who brought him.
-
When Potiphar saw that Joseph was successful in everything he did,
-
he put him in charge of his household and of all his fields.
-
So, Joseph was very focused on the job he was given to do.
-
You will not just sleep at night as a failure, and wake up to, “Congratulations! You’re successful.”
-
It doesn't happen like that, you cannot drift to the top. It takes focused action
and personal discipline.
-
Joseph was very focused on the job he was given to do. He had personal discipline. He was disciplined.
-
How do we know he was disciplined?
Because Potiphar’s wife – that woman
-
she began to have desires for Joseph.
Every day, she would say, “Joseph, hi.”
-
[Crowd laughs]
-
When a woman wants to seduce a man, you can imagine to what extent she might go.
-
Put yourself in Joseph’s position. If you had such an opportunity –
-
because this is how people see it today – they see it as an opportunity.
-
They say, “Ah, hallelujah! This is an opportunity!”
-
So, you can imagine how many people today follow the path of disobedience,
-
and yet expect good things to happen to them.
-
even though Joseph didn’t give in, and he refused to fall for that woman –
-
Potiphar’s wife – she decided to falsely accuse him to her husband. And that’s how his boss put him in prison.
-
Is that fair? To do the right thing, and instead of being blessed or promoted,
You find yourself in prison, finally?
-
Man’s rejection provokes God’s direction. It was through that rejection that Joseph became very close to God.
-
Joseph learned from his father: “Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
-
I will keep Your word and Your commandments in my heart. They will be a light guiding me.
-
That is the meaning of doing what God puts in your heart, through His word.
-
God never promised to keep us away from tests or away from trials, but He promised to see us through.
-
The human point of view is limited and does not understand God.
-
In the story of Job, in the book of Job, you will see that God blessed him,
-
double, two times more than all he had lost.
-
God compensated him, and God comforted him. He gave him peace and more children.
-
His children became the most beautiful in the whole area – in the whole land.
-
Imagine! Even as painful as it was.
-
God has a way to restore you to the original position He created you to be in.
-
In the mighty name of Jesus!
-
Today – let somebody say, “Today will be the day the Lord restores me!” (Crowd repeats)
-
to the original position He created me to be in, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
-
Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus! Clap for Jesus!
-
[Applause]
-
May the Lord bless His word in our hearts, and give us the grace to do
What the Word says,
-
In the mighty name of Jesus mighty name we pray.
-
(Crowd says, “Amen!”)
-
Amen!
