“What picture of your life are you painting with your lips? Your daily conversation is a clearer revelation of who you really are. Just think for a moment about what your daily conversation looks like. Do your words encourage or discourage? Do you use words to build people up or bring them down? Do you often use words that are insensitive or insincere? Are you someone who belittles others' opinions and makes jokes at the expense of others? Are you someone who gossips to others? Or complains about someone to others? Think about this - as you are complaining about someone, don't be surprised that someone is complaining about you. Those who tend to gossip about others are usually the subject of others' gossip. Above all, do your words glorify God? I want you to know this - as a Christian, you must weigh your words because your words carry weight.”
