-
We have seen the basis of LCAs,
learned about the goal and scope,
-
and looked at life cycle inventories.
-
Now it's time to review the procedure for
conducting a lifecycle impact assessment.
-
The lifecycle impact assessment
is the last major phase
-
of conducting an LCA,
and is the focus of this module.
-
In this module,
will identify the key elements in an LCIA,
-
as well as the optional steps
that are involved in the process.
-
Later, we will go on to outline
how to select which impacts to measure,
-
along with the
most common impact categories,
-
many of which you may
already be familiar with.
-
In the final section of this module,
-
we will examine impact assessment models.
-
There are some published models,
such as Impact World + and IPCC,
-
and we will understand
how using different models
-
can affect our LCIA
in terms of yielding different results.
