“We not only learn about the program by reading books and materials, but we also get to know the real person in their real life and hearing from their first-hand experience what they have been through with their struggles and their campaign.”

��‍♀️ Meet Thien, an EarthRights alumna from Vietnam. She worked with communities to support them in accessing information from projects that would impact their lives, enabling them to use this knowledge for their campaigns.

� At EarthRights, we conduct training programs to provide climate advocates and earth rights defenders, like Thien, with essential technical skills. Our programs aim to empower participants to effectively support local communities in defending their rights, resources, and livelihoods. For instance, this June, we organize an intensive three-week training on project cycle management for our EarthRights alumni to learn project design, organizational development, and donor engagement. Additionally, next month, we will hold another training session for trainers, focusing on improving the skills, tools, and techniques they use in their climate justice work with communities.
