Someone can care about you, enjoy your company, and still keep you at arm’s length without even realizing it. Emotional unavailability isn’t always coldness — sometimes it looks like mixed signals, deep conversations with no real commitment, or disappearing the moment things get too real.

It’s not about blaming them or blaming yourself — it’s about recognizing when someone simply isn’t able to meet you where you are, no matter how much they wish they could.
