results when different people are saying

word where does the power in that word

come from when we see a result a

can't explain naturally there needs to

be a process that takes place inside the

person before the speaking of that word

what's the process that takes place for

a word to become life the process is

available to you it all depends on how

far you are willing to engage your

spirit for the word to become life in

you the right place of this word is not

here and that is the problem as long as

the word is on here in my mind it

becomes lifeless as long as I only

memorize it and quote what is in my

memory it become an orderly word as long

as I follow formula methods statistic

quoting just the word I read and believe

in your heart it's mere words there's a

place where this word can become life a

word that is ordinary when it enter that

place it will come out with life and

when it comes out with life when you

speak it miracle will take place when

the word is transformed in the

conversion room the word of life will

come from your spirit and from your

mouth you can speak it that's the duty

of every believer our only challenge all

of us is how to allow the word in our

heart and how to actually believe that

the word is true we have to allow it

first it's when the word enters our

heart our spirit act my heart is called

the conversion

you've passed through the wilderness as

you enter the promised land don't don't

give up at this point many people give

up at the point of breakthrough i mean

at the point of entering the promised

land they give up because they can't see

the process that God is doing and where

God is taking them so because they're

just focused on what they can see on the

outside they give up and that's exactly

what the enemy of our soul wants to

achieve it's at the point of

breakthrough that the devil will fight

you for you to give up when you're at

the brink of breakthrough the toughest

part of mountain climbing is when you

reach the summit the summit of the

mountain is so steep so steep that it

takes extra forces to reach that summit

the desire or the decision to give up

it's not a conscious decision that we

make that yes I'm going to give up on

God today often it's a slow fade into

doubting into worrying into not trusting

there's no man of faith no healer of

faith who has not gone through the

wilderness of doubt our mind may give up

our understanding may give up but God

never never gives up

no matter how bad the person may seem on

human judgment ask yourself what does

Jesus think about that person because we

are not God we have to keep reminding

ourselves that God's standard of

judgment is different from our own god

tests our heart to reward us because his

focus is the motive behind what we do

our heart does things before our mouth

that's the motivation the motivation God

approves is when the reason behind the

action is for God's sake righteousness

sake god that can see that motive we

can't see thank you people's motives we

judge people because we have a mindset a

negative mindset prejudgment against

others and that is not good rightful

judgment is to get into the heart of the

matter and you can't do that without the

Holy Spirit no you because the Holy

Spirit always gets into the heart of the

matter when we come to him with our lips

listens to our heart

we want to discover the unknown we want

to go to unreachable places we want to

put a challenge for ourel why don't we

challenge ourselves with God the

greatest adventure of your life is when

you follow God yes the greatest

adventure of your life if you were

looking for an adventure to challenge

yourself to do something you never done

before to discover new things to stretch

what you can humanly do follow God he's

the creator of heaven and earth he spoke

and the world came into being and he

wants his nature to be evident and

obvious in you through you how when we

submit to his spirit in our lives

there's no limit to what we can achieve

god does not want you to be common

common sense can only make you come but

God want to give you an extraordinary

gift god want to build an extraordinary

relationship with you in spirit and in

truth you will lose nothing in doing the

will of God in your life you think you

have lost you have not lost anything the

best is yet to come it's never ever ever

ever ever a mistake to put God first in

your life it's the best decision you can

make god is a God of purpose and we have

to discover ourselves in Christ Jesus in

order to fulfill the purpose that God

has for us on this earth and not live

out our days trying to pursue the

purpose or the calling of someone else

the journey of life is the stages this

means every human being is born with the

hidden purpose of God in his life that's

why the Bible talk about election of

grace paul said "God who called me from

my mother's womb to reveal his son Jesus

Christ to me." That's what he said that

means that God has a purpose for you

since you were born and this Paul now

how come that he persecuted the church

terribly and he said "God who called me

from my mother's womb to reveal his son

to me." This means sometimes our future

is something hidden there is something

in you that is embedded hidden the

purpose of God in your life deep deep

deep within you it is hidden you just

need to discover it sometime we don't

know who we are that's why the Bible say

we should be very careful because God

never considers your past God never

considers your present situation to

determine your future

if therefore the light that is in you is

darkness how great is that darkness if

the light in you is darkness have you

asked yourself how can the light be

darkness because you think it's light

whereas it's actually darkness mean

sense knowledge look like light it's not

light it's darkness i mean you're going

to understand spiritual things without

your reason

and if you think that it's light but

it's not darkness if you think that

you're in the light but you're in the

dark you don't know you need the light

that's why Jesus say for two judgment I

came the blind can see and those who can

see remain blind so if you know you need

the light of God if you know that you're

in spiritual darkness without the light

and revelation of God then you can ask

the Holy Spirit to enlighten your mind

with spiritual things but if you think

already that you know everything

spiritually that you have the light

everything around you what does the

Bible say how great is that darkness

many have surrendered to their situation

to their fear to their doubt while their

heart is still dreaming for miracle for

blessing for breakthrough and that is

what Jesus considers the dream in your

heart the dream in your heart Jesus sees

that it's a light there the light of

hope in your heart is what Jesus sees

the dream you might have given up on the

outside but your heart's still dreaming

for a miracle your heart's still

dreaming for that encounter with Jesus

for your destiny in Christ Jesus that is

what Jesus sees that small light of hope

is what Jesus sees and rekindles don't

allow that light to be quenched by

circumstances when the light of hope is

quenched life becomes a weary road

that's why we give up a Samaritan woman

in the book of John chapter 4 she gave

up because the Bible says she was having

disappointment in life she was bitter

with life jesus came to her not her to

Jesus when you give up you stop praying

you stop looking for Jesus or God is

moving towards you that's the difference

between you and God when you give up you

have no hope jesus never gives up he's

walking towards you she didn't know that

as she was walking in her depression in

her bitterness in her sorrow towards the

well Jesus the redeemer the messiah was

walking towards her for a divine

appointment

holy Ghost require patience to him satan

require no patience satan does not need

any invitation to come he violates his

arm robber he will enter your home he

will steal and stalk you anyhow negative

thoughts are anyway but to listen to

what is good you have to sit down you

have to meditate you have to wait till

the voice of the Lord come that really

struck me what you just said you know

Satan is an armed robber he doesn't ask

your permission before violating your

thoughts he doesn't ask your permission

before entering your house and trying to

take captive your thoughts and take you

to anger to jealousy to lust to lying he

doesn't ask any permission he just does

it forcefully but for you to receive the

guidance of the Holy Spirit you need to

invite the Holy Spirit into your heart

make your heart a dwelling place for the

Holy Spirit focus on the Holy Spirit put

your mind and heart at its best place to

receive the Holy Spirit and then listen

to his voice and then obey it it's not

the easiest but it's the best way to

live your life

god has no means to put you to a place

of dependency than to put you in the

wilderness far from the influence of men

when you find yourself in a place of

isolation where no human help is there

when you are in the wilderness you will

begin to lose confidence in yourself to

lose confidence in man and begin to rely

on God if God is able to rescue you in

difficult time when you think the end

has come you will learn to depend on him

god is dependable in the wilderness god

is reliable in the wilderness you can

only see the purpose of God in the

wilderness you can only see the need of

the Holy Spirit in your life when you

are weak you can only see the need of

God's strength when you have no strength

of your own so the wilderness is where

God process our lives to teach us his

way the wilderness is where the

processing of God will begin to operate

in every department of our being so we

can learn his ways if you find yourself

in a wilderness situation right now

don't despair don't be discouraged

because actually this is the area where

God has set an appointment for you in

that wilderness

correction is not judgment there's a

difference between correction and

judgment judgment is a mindset a preset

judgment in your mind already you have

decided to judge the person already but

correction is to help someone is to help

the person to change how do you correct

a person do what is good in the sight of

God to change the bad you see today we

arrogate the position of God to judge

people correction is our duty but

judgment is God's duty correction in

love in love of course and with the

right motivation correction not to see

someone fall down but to help someone

judgment lead to punishment right but

correction leads to repentance and

reconciliation jesus his attitude was

constant correction showing God standing

things he spoke what is right in the

sight of God when you think right speak

right and act right in the sight of God

you are correcting everybody people are

reading you the weapons of righteousness

are the fruit of the spirit exercise the

fruit of the spirit in the face of the

fruit of the flesh and that's the change

we're talking about

let's listen to Jesus in John 16:28 i

came forth from the father and have come

into the world again I leave the world

and go to the father every believer

should learn this verse by heart the

reality of Christ is not his human

nature his divine nature before the

world began Jesus said "I

am." If you look at Jesus in the natural

you only resume the life of Jesus from

his birth natural birth on the cross but

Jesus say "I came forth from the father

i came into this world to bear witness

of the things of

heaven." What I see from my father to

tell you here how can we enter the

reality of God we have to be born again

you need a created spirit reality comes

with the coming of the Holy Spirit the

giver of life when the Holy Ghost come

from heaven enter your heart and abide

in you reality comes reality is

established much of our trouble as

selfinflated trouble because we focus on

the natural rather than the natural as

human beings we're autoprogrammed to

have our autofocus on on human on the

flesh on men and women on the natural

instead of the spiritual and I think

that's why we so often set ourselves up

for disappointment if we focus on a man

or woman of God too much we're taking

our focus off Jesus remember that a man

or woman of God is just a signboard

telling us to go to Jesus and if we

focus on the signboard we've missed the

point the sign board is to redirect your

focus on the board to follow paul said

"Who is Paul who is Apollos we are only

sign boards vessels used by God through

whom you believe someone must know Jesus

someone must point him the way if our

faith is in the finished works of Jesus

Christ on the cross everything that

happens to us is to strengthen our faith

in him because if that genuine seed of

faith is planted in the right soil it

will always remain no matter what

happens no matter what

comes there's a question I want to ask

you are you ready to be a dust bin

before I answer that question a dusty

bin is

useful i throw into the dusty bin those

things I do not want those things I

consider the dirty without the dust my

house can never be clean dusty never

complain we throw dirty things inside

but he always accommodated that reminds

me of something that prophet TB Joshua

told us there are many workers but there

are few leaders m if you want to be a

leader you should be ready to be a dust

bin why don't forget Jesus came to

change people's life you too you should

help people to change their life before

life can be changed something must be

removed something bad people want to get

rid of something in their life they

don't know how to go about it we know

how to get rid of dirty things around us

but we don't know how to part with our

bad character it's true it's very easy

to part with our belongings but very

difficult to part with sin when Jesus

looked at people he saw them heavy laden

with things they want to get rid of and

there was no dusty bin to accommodate

jesus said "Come to me oh you are heavy

laden with his unrighteousness." He

himself became the dust bin of mankind

he became more than a dusty bin the

Bible says he was made sin offering for

us at the cross of Calvary he bore our

iniquity our sins our faithfulness so if

we also want to follow Jesus and also

lead people in the light of life we also

need to be ready to accommodate people's

absolutely weaknesses because no one is

perfect and that's the way we can be a

leader with a difference that's what

Jesus is expecting us to do rather than

rejecting people condemning people let

your light shine let the goodness of God

in your life speak let humility speak

that's what Jesus

did do you service your relationship you

have to take care of each relationship

we should not take it for granted today

relationships are under repair

everywhere not only towards God but

towards our neighbor we have the avenue

the weapons of righteousness that can

heal your relationship with everyone

relationship need to be maintained we

don't wait till situation emerged to act

love never waits for situation to come

anticipate that's why we need to service

don't wait for the person to ask you to

do this do that do it spontaneously for

God's sake ask God "What can I do to

help somebody?" Remember what makes us

human is what it's not our ability to

think about our ability to love put on

Christ as our righteousness every single

day by doing that you're servicing your

heart and if you service your heart then

definitely your relationships are

service because you relate with others

through your heart by doing so you're

asking the Holy Ghost to fill you and

when he fills you he will fill you and

that love will overflow to others

you have prayed and say God has not

answered my prayer who told you that who

told you God has not heard you you don't

know the prayer you are offered for so

many years are not lost when we pray the

answer we receive from God is not

determined by our time our method our

ways but how God chooses to implement

his will in the request you brought to

his throne god may answer quickly god

may take a time to answer he may answer

in different ways god always answers the

prayer of faith whether you doubt or not

but he does not answer it in the letter

not always the way we expect not the way

you expect not the time you expect

everything from God is ruled by his time

and ways what makes you a believer is

not on the outside is not your

background what makes you a Christian is

what Jesus Christ has done for you at

the cross of Calvary god's plan God's

ways are beyond our mental imagination

god is richer than your dreams he's

greater than your weakness his ways are

higher than our thoughts and ways we are

the one limiting ourself in the one foot

ceiling god want sky to be your limit

you are the one looking at your

circumstances where God want you to look

beyond the circumstances to see what he

has in store behind that situation how

do we know that God is hearing our

prayer is there any evidence to know God

has heard me peace of heart

that is it how did you know God has

answered you peace of heart his body may

be shaking your emotion may be high your

mind may be completely lost but if you

sit down deep inside you there is peace

of heart there is peace of heart this

mean God is in control nothing out of

God's control can happen to

you develop your relationship with the

Holy Spirit and you will hear his voice

clearly why we don't hear because the

state of our heart is damaged

unforgiveness unforgiving spirit we

fight we condemn people if you want to

focus on Christ because rightful focus

you have to pay the price of forgiveness

unforgiving spirit damages your heart if

you have to have a rightful focus on

Jesus you have to pay the price of

forgiveness why do you say the price and

forgiving spirit locked your blessing in

the past what God asks from you to do is

your gen willingness to carry your cross

that's how you pay your price jesus said

"Deny yourself don't do your will do my

will." That means choosing to forgive

truly from your heart is sometimes

painful that's what Jesus said carry

your cross and follow me mean deny

yourself deny your will and do my will

his will is love your enemy pray for

those who persecute you and look unto me

that is faith that focuses on Jesus if

we learn to do that our life will

change when Jesus is correcting you and

me it is because of the future when God

say don't do this you may not do it

today but you may do it tomorrow god

does not consider our now our past to

determine our future jesus is looking at

your your tomorrow even your 10 years

from now your 20 years from now this is

what matters to Jesus but we're so

concentrated on now now now and even

yesterday the pain of the past betrayal

of the past the disappointment of the

past the scars of the past that we find

it difficult to even live today let

alone trust our tomorrow in the hands of

Jesus and yet Jesus knows what we can

become tomorrow if we fully submit to

him and that's what he's looking at no

one was born righteous no no one but

Jesus has come to remove that past and

give you a new future and if he can do

it for you he can do it for someone else

as well that you're currently looking at

with the eyes of judgment if Jesus can

remove our past and point us to the

future then he can do it for everyone

that is why we shouldn't judge anyone on

account of today because tomorrow is a

mystery

your focus go where your attention is

what I want is where I focus my

attention the Bible asks us to focus on

Jesus Christ and that is the issue and

if you focus on Jesus it puts everything

else into perspective if I focus on

Christ I will begin to see life clearly

in the light of Christ I will filter

everything through the light of Jesus

faith focuses on God those who focus on

Jesus will see the meaning of Christ in

their life but that focus must be for

God's sake as human beings we're

naturally programmed our autofocus is

set to focus on man what is autofocus

something automatic if you rely on

autofocus do you have any role to play

no it's automatic faith is not autofocus

the flesh won't participate the flesh

you all know but to focus on God you

have to live autofocus you have to go to

manual and ask Holy Ghost to help you to

look deep enough to focus on the heart

of the matter you have to look through

the narrow way through the viewfinder of

the Holy Spirit to see what Jesus

what's the cause of that that's the

Romans Romans 12 because this is

really what we want to talk about today

we know it very well let's go from verse

two and do not be conformed to this

world but be transformed by the renewing

of your mind that you may prove what

that what is good and acceptable and

perfect will of God that means for us to

know the will of God in our situation in

our life in our journey we need to be

renewed in our mind because the Holy

Spirit will not bypass the mind the Holy

Spirit wants to communicate to you and

to me but in order to do that the Holy

Spirit needs to speak to our mind our

mind needs to be renewed to be able to

communicate with the Holy Spirit and

that is why it's so important

uh have you been hearing me

from Romans 12 from verse 2 so that we

can read along if you have your Bible

romans 12 from verse two and do not be

conformed to this world but be

transformed by the renewing of your mind

that you may prove what is that good and

acceptable and perfect will of God so

why are we talking about this because

all of us want to know God's will for

our life all of us want to know how do I

know what God wants me to do on a daily

basis how can the Holy Spirit speak to

me and the Holy Spirit can only speak to

you when your mind is renewed because

the Holy Spirit never bypasses the mind

the Holy Spirit speaks to our mind

that's right speaks to our heart we

learned about the spirit soul and body

last week and I'm sure we'll go into

that again today but we can't ignore the

mind the mind must be renewed in order

to be renewed like our spirit is renewed

when we read the word of God our spirit

is refreshed our mind is renewed

remember when we accept Jesus as our

Lord and Savior our spirit is born again

but we need to make sure our mind is

renewed daily and that is why we're here

at the University of God that is why

we're here to seek the spirit of God

we're all students i want to add

something to what she says because we

are getting to the heart of the matter

and uh I just took my Bible in the book

of Exodus chapter 16 yesterday you know

we are in a time of prayer and

meditation preparing for the Easter to

come it's a time of sober reflection for

every Christian my mind was

struck by the behavior of the people of

Israel in the wilderness

they have seen the mightiness of God in

the land of Egypt when they saw how

God did signs and wonders miraculous

signs and wonders to set them free they

have seen the Red Sea opened by God they

have seen the pillar of cloud by day

which was representing the presence of

the angel and they saw the pillar of

fire by night the living presence of God

they saw it

physically but after they left the land

of bondage of

servitude God took them in the journey

in the wilderness for a

purpose what was the purpose we realize

that it does not take long for God to

set us free from trouble one second

but it take years a lifetime for God to

change our behavior our character and to

change our mind m let me read Exodus

chapter 16 verse 2 the whole

congregation of the children of Israel

complained against Moses and Aaron in

the

wilderness three the children of Israel

said to them "Oh that we had died by the

hand of the Lord in the land of

Egypt when we sat by the pots of meat

and when we ate bread to the fool for

you have brought us out into the

wilderness to kill this whole assembly

with hunger that's a complaint the I

asked myself why they complain we

realize that the Bible says what

happened to them at that time is a

lesson to all of us here

there is a

parallel between the way God rescued

them in Egypt god took them to the

wilderness and the way we experience God

when we are saved

in the eastern night in one night God

stroke all the firstborn of Egypt to the

animals and Pharaoh was shocked and they

sent them away immediately they released

him and they were free from 430 years of

bondage and they and they were free

they're supposed to be happy they saw

the goodness of God the greatness of God

in their lives and what happened in the

wilderness god put them to the test god

allowed them to go through the

wilderness for a purpose when you read

your Bible the Bible says God could have

make them pass by the way of the

Philistine which is shorter but God say

no because they will see war if they see

war they will be afraid and they will

run back to Egypt does it mean God is

not great enough to take them there

that means

simply once we are saved once Jesus

comes into our heart we have the Holy

Spirit our spirit is free indeed we have

a new conscience we have a new heart set

free and much more we have the presence

of the Holy Spirit abiding in our hearts

ephesians 3:13 says "Christ dwells in

our heart through faith." So God is with

me so now the question

is we are made right with God in our

spirit that's part that is new we are a

new creation a new heart a new spirit

but this

body this soul this old man is still

there

so there is a conflict between this old

man and a conflict between the one that

is new inside of

me what does it mean this means my the

way I'm I was educated my family

background my culture my tradition and

the lessons I of life my education all

these frame my intellectually so I grow

physically but I grow intellectually

mentally by the lesson for my culture

from universe that for me me talking my

decision my action in the natural but

that does not fit the way of God because

God's ways are not our ways his thoughts

are not our thoughts Isaiah 55 from

verse 1

to8 so now we have Christ in

us what about our relationship in our

family in your marriage in your friends

in your community in your work where is

Jesus the problem we have is that we

lack consciousness of God's presence in

those

areas salvation is not just basically a

spiritual rebirth it has to affect my

soul my mind my body and my character

every area of our life every areas of my

life now when you see in the book of

Acts chapter 2 the first disciples of

Jesus after the outpouring of the Holy

Spirit they went they sold their

businesses stopped everything their

houses and were living in community why

they were serving God with all their

lives spirit soul and body

why because Christianity is a

lifestyle they serve God not just in

spirit by going to Sunday but in their

daily living all their lives were

serving God that's why they call them

disciples of Christ mean they embrace

Christ

lifestyle to think like Jesus to speak

like Jesus to act like Jesus and to

manifest Christ likeness in their

community in their relationship in a

physical form right into the world where

we are and it's impossible to do that

without the help of the Holy Spirit

impossible why it is impossible because

man's way are not God's way the way I I

where I come from okay I'm from Africa

you're from UK right we have a lot of

differences it is natural it is normal

to have differences in life but what

makes us one is Christ philosophy what

makes us one is faith i'm talking to

people all all over the world we have

different upbringing but what makes us

born today is Jesus that reminds me of

what Prophet TB Joshua said when we were

disciples he said "You're not here for

any culture African culture Nigerian

culture we're all here for Christ

culture." And that is what we're here

for to learn how to be like Jesus and it

was such an amazing opportunity to be

with people from so many different

backgrounds and so many different

cultures and upbringings but at the same

time our purpose was to embrace Christ

culture and I think the temptation many

many people face today is to reduce

Christianity to a to a code of ethics oh

to be a good person or to have some

moral value in certain ways but actually

it's to be like Jesus and we can't

remove the Holy Spirit from that because

Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit will

be the comforter to be with us forever

we can't obey the written word or do

what Jesus commands us to

do fleshly humanly without the help of

the Holy Spirit we cannot be a disciple

of Jesus without the help of the Holy

Spirit this realm coming now why God

gave us his spirit we have to repeat and

go back to the

foundation we are too conditioned to

limit the Holy Ghost only to power

healing power prophetic power the gift

of the spirit

but the major theme the major purpose

God Almighty gave you and I his spirit

is to make us sons and daughters of

God and the purpose of the Holy Spirit

in our heart is to develop righteousness

godly character

the fruit of the

spirit

means I don't need to say I'm a

Christian

let the goodness of God be evident be

seen in the way I speak in the way I

talk in the way I relate with people

people should see something different in

you even in your working place people

see your kindness the way you approach

things the wisdom of God that's what God

want in your life so how is it now we

are so conditioned to think that God

holy spirit is not only is only for

power for for healing power no it's for

godly character is our helper that's why

Jesus gave us his spirit

in the wilderness how much more when you

are in the town

what God wanted to do is to take them to

a process to discipline

them so they can their mind their way of

thinking will change their way of

talking will change what is thinking and

and words that is faith

we believe and we speak the word of

faith all the time

but faith does not just happen it is

built how can faith grow we need to grow

spiritually we grow spiritually when we

hear and obey God that's what God wanted

that's why in Deuteronomy 8 verse 1 to2

1-4 God say I make them pass by the

wilderness and I cause you to to suffer

hunger and thirst to teach you that man

shall not live by bread alone but every

word that comes from the mouth of the

Lord and that is where the issue is

number one for them and for us today

Exodus chapter 15 verse 26 here what God

says if you diligently heed the voice of

the Lord your God and do what is right

oh my Lord that's the key and do what is

right that means act on the word this is

the problem we have today yeah

if you diligently heed the voice of the

Lord and do what is right in his

sight this is where the issue is in our

spirit in our conscious we hear the

inner voice of God telling us do this do

that inspiration come but when the mind

is not in you no it's me it's not God we

refuse to act on it we refuse to act on

it suggestion is coming intuition is

coming from the Holy Spirit who dwells

in our

heart because they were having the

pillar of cloud we have more than the

pillar of cloud of the Israel we have

Holy Spirit in our heart

the spirit of God will tell you wake up

and pray in the night this body

know the Holy Ghost will shake you into

positive action but we resist because

our mind is not renewed m we think it is

us it's our own mind it's our own body

that's why we resist

no if God's power can set them free in

one

night God it took 40 years in the

wilderness for God to change their mind

and character

and many of them refuse to believe and

fall into the

wilderness we have the spirit of Jesus

in our

heart but why it is why do we find

people complaining today because our

mind is not renewed because our mind is

not renewed we continue like Jesus

rebuked Peter to think like man think to

speak in the old way in the old nature

the Bible say when you are saved never

you think speak or act on the level of

the old life write that down the minute

you are saved that you receive salvation

from Jesus never think or talk or act on

the level of your old life that is

that's the problem is your thoughts and

change your words change your thought

and change your words

now if I speak in the old nature myself

is talking ah you I would deal with you

i would do this it's the first talking

his flesh is talking that's why prophet

gave us a prayer holy Spirit take more

of me

give me more of

you when I'm too much of myself I the

one talking it's the soul myself my mind

my will my decision my emotion is

talking

and we air away from God's way and the

flesh will lead us and we begin to act

out of character the question is why our

mind is so disturbed by the things we

see we hear and that is the issue when

God led them in the wilderness they were

thirsty god did it on

purpose instead of praying "God give us

water," they

complained instead of praying to God you

complain to

man god is faithful he knows your

need so in the wilderness anytime they

face situations on the outside they

begin to murmur they wanted to stone

mothers to death because of natural

circumstances of life

today when we are born again we have a

new spirit we have a new soul we have

the Holy Spirit dwelling in us but now

why it is difficult to change my mind

because my willingness is required by

God thank you that's the difficulty God

is

finding god demands your faith uncomp

uncompromising demand for faith

the uncompromising demand for faith what

he say God wants your willingness

that's the greatest role you can play if

you are willing to get out of your

problem if you're willing to change your

life if you're willing to really meet

Jesus then the half the job is half done

because Jesus is always willing to meet

you to change you to get you out of your

problem but you have to be willing first

remember the people that Jesus met where

he asked them "Do you want to get well

do you want to be free?" Because Jesus

had the power to be able to set them

free immediately but he wanted to hear

their willingness not just from their

mouth but from their heart remember it's

our heart that Jesus hears is your heart

willing this morning is your heart

willing today to get out of your old

life and start living how Jesus wants

you to live because if your heart is

willing then the job is half done tell

your neighbor the job is half done yes

50% of the battle 50% of the victory so

what do you learn now we learn we need

to learn the ways of God

knowing God is not only to see miracles

signs and wonders but to learn his ways

the book of Psalm

103:7 says

"God showed his deeds to the children of

Israel

but he showed his ways to

Moses." And that was a big difference

moses knew the way of the Lord but the

people did not know the way of God

despite all the miracles they saw m when

situation happens if you follow the

narrow way of Jesus you will not act on

the situation you will inquire from God

to know Lord what is your mind what is

God's mind on this matter

Isaiah Ruth can you read Isaiah 55 verse

8 we need to learn the way of the Holy

Spirit God has given us the Holy Spirit

We need to develop our relationship with

him we need to cooperate with him

because he wants our

willingness holy Spirit works with us in

cooperation means my will must submit to

God's will before the power of the Holy

Ghost is manifested i repeat my will

your will must submit to God's will

before the power of God can be

manifested to change your circumstances

let's read mhm for my thoughts are not

your thoughts nor are your ways my ways

says the Lord for as the heavens are

higher than the earth so my ways higher

than your ways and my thoughts than your

thoughts god say his thoughts are higher

than our thoughts m when I have thoughts

of discouragement the end has come god

say the end has not come it's just the

beginning you say "Oh it's it's terrible

we can't do this we can't because of

your thoughts." God say "Yes you can do

it." That's why he said to everybody in

Jeremiah

29:11 "The thoughts that I have for you

is to prosper you not to harm you to

give you a hope and a future."

Absolutely we need to know the divine

person of the Holy Spirit leading us

when we say disciple we are disciples of

the Holy Spirit

he's the shepherd that leads us today

jesus said "My sheep shall hear my

voice." John chapter 10 27 jesus dwells

in my heart through the person of the

Holy Spirit we should be able to hear

the voice of the Holy Spirit in our

heart

we it is time to learn to distinguish

how he speaks to us whether in thoughts

intimation suggestion or words or dreams

we need to know how do we know it is

possible to know the only way to know is

to yield your heart to

him what do I mean by that that's why

meditation when trouble come situation

come after you pray go to the secret

place of your heart and begin to

meditate

ask the Holy Spirit to help you ask God

to open the eyes of your faith begin to

look for him seek him in your heart

diligently

and then the way he answers you he will

give you a thought can come to your

conscious to your mind if your conscious

is alert okay now let me come back to

this is responsibility towards God in

spirit and this is in the

natural in the world this side and this

now we have a separation between the two

this is this side is your spiritual side

your spirit and your soul this part is

your

body now the question is here is the

trouble we face we always separate in

our mind in our in this thinking you

think that God is not concerned about

this it's a big

mistake god is concerned about this this

section

here is your belief in God you believe

in God this is your conscience this is

the spirit of God holy Spirit speak to

you here and give you inspiration give

you revelation so when you are praying

because you have situation

here when you pray in your heart without

making any noise something will prompt

your mind here your conscience this is

your conscience

this is where the will of God is this is

where the mind of God is this is where

solution comes but if we look at the

natural we forget

this so what did God did to help them in

the wilderness god allow the physical

presence of the cloud to give them focus

in God when they look at the cloud ah

God is here oh not we afraid in the

night they saw the light god is here in

our midst so they were looking visibly

at the presence of God so they would not

be afraid so they focus with that but

today as Christian we can't do that

anymore we have the Holy Spirit here in

our heart we have our conscious with the

communication point contact point we

have to learn to listen to the inner

voice here in our

heart now

here this section now is where we have

problem

physically our soul this is our mind

this is our decision this is our

will our emotions everything is

here emotions and this one is influenced

by this one when they were in the

wilderness they were

thirsty and their mind begin to think

wrongly anytime your mind here think

negatively you are out of faith anytime

your mind think negatively based on

circumstances you get out of faith why

because you begin to doubt the goodness

of God here whatever God says here this

one contradict it anytime something good

come from your conscious revelation

something contrary come to your mind to

say no that's why Satan did if God say

"Oh go to America." A voice said "No

don't go it's you." God say "Do this." A

voice said "No is it from God?"

Contradiction so there's a battle

between revelation here and sense

knowledge here which one do you

follow we have this is our trouble this

is our greatest enemy the mind the mind

and the thinking

my god we exercise our will through our

mind this mind is the one that controls

our body through the

brain okay we talk we saw an advert very

me people are watching you when you woke

up in the morning what is the first

thing you do when you woke up in the

morning and you are bed what is the

the clock the watch uh I'm going to my

job i take breakfast i took my shower am

I right the baby awake i dress up i run

to my to my vehicle or catch the

transport to go to work when I arrive

hey you give your colleague sit on your

desk and begin to work begin to work

finish back home when they come home you

and if you think that it's light but

dark you don't know you need the light

that's why Jesus say "For two judgment I

came the blind can see and those who can

see remain blind." So if you know you

need the light of God if you know that

you're in spiritual darkness without the

light and revelation of God then you can

ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten your

mind with spiritual things but if you

think already that you know everything

spiritually that you have the light

everything around you what does the

Bible say how great is that darkness

many have surrendered to their situation

to their fear to their doubt while their

heart is still dreaming for miracle for

blessing for breakthrough and that is

what Jesus considers the dream in your

heart the dream in your heart Jesus sees

that it's a light there the light of

hope in your heart is what Jesus sees

the dream you might have given up on the

outside but your heart's still dreaming

for a miracle your heart's still

dreaming for that encounter with Jesus

but your destiny in Christ Jesus that is

what Jesus sees that small light of hope

is what Jesus sees and rekindles don't

allow that light to be quenched by

circumstances when the light of hope is

quenched life becomes a weary road

that's why we give up the Samaritan

woman in the book of John chapter 4 she

gave up because the Bible says she was

having disappointment she was bitter

with life jesus came to her not her to

Jesus when you give up you stop praying

you stop looking for Jesus god is moving

has come you will learn to depend on him

god is dependable in the wilderness god

is reliable in the wilderness you can

only see the purpose of God in the

are weak you can only see the need of

God's strength when you have no strength

of your own so the wilderness is where

God process our lives to teach us his

way the wilderness is where the

processing of God will begin to operate

in every department of our being so we

can learn his ways if you find yourself

in a wilderness situation right now

don't despair don't be discouraged

because actually this is the area where

God has set an appointment for you in

wilderness correction is not judgment

there's a difference between correction

and judgment judgment is a mindset a

preset judgment in your mind already you

have decided to judge the person already

but correction is to help someone is to

help the person to change how do you

correct a person do what is good in the

sight of God to change the bad you see

today we arrogate the position of God to

judge people correction is our duty but

judgment is God's duty correction in

love in love of course and with the

right motivation correction not to see

someone fall down but to help someone

correction leads to remember repentance

and reconciliation jesus his attitude

for disappointment if we focus on a man

or woman of God too much we're taking

our focus off Jesus remember that a man

or woman of God is just a signboard

telling us to go to Jesus and if we

focus on the sign board we've missed the

point the sign board is to redirect your

focus on the board to follow paul said

who is Paul who is Apollos we are only

sign boards vessels used by God through

whom you believe someone must know Jesus

someone must point him the way if our

faith is in the finished works of Jesus

Christ on the cross everything that

happens to us is to strengthen our faith

in him because if that genuine seed of

faith is planted in the right soil it

will always remain no matter what

happens no matter what

comes there's a question I want to ask

you are you ready to be a dust bin

before I answer that question a dusty

bin is useful

i throw into the dust bin those thing I

do not want and those things I consider

the dirty without the dust bin my house

can never be clean never

complain we throw dirty things inside

with things they want to get rid of and

there was no destiny to accommodate

laden with unrighteousness." So he

himself became the dust bin of mankind

he became more than a dusty bin the

Bible says he was made sin offering for

us at the cross of Calvary he bore our

iniquity our sins our faithfulness so if

we also want to follow Jesus and also

lead people in the light of life we also

need to be ready to accommodate people

weaknesses because no one is perfect and

that's the way we can be a leader with a

difference that's what Jesus is

expecting us to do rather than rejecting

people condemning people let your light

shine let the goodness of God in your

life speak let humility speak that's

what Jesus

did do you service your relationship you

have to take care of each relationship

we should not take it for granted today

relationships are under repair

everywhere not only towards God but

towards our neighbor we have the avenue

the weapons of righteousness that can

heal your relationship with everyone

relationship need to be maintained we

don't wait till situation emerged to act

love never waits for situation to come

anticipate that's why we need to service

don't wait for the person to ask you to

do this do that do it spontaneously for

God's sake ask God what can I do to help

somebody remember what makes us human is

what it's not our ability to think but

our ability to love put on Christ as our

righteousness every single day by doing

that you're servicing your heart and if

you service your heart then definitely

your relationships are service because

you relate with others through your

heart by doing so you're asking Holy

Ghost to fill you and when he fills you

not determined by our time our method

our ways but how God chooses to

doubt or not but he does not answer it

in the letter not always the way we

expect not the way you expect not the

time you expect everything from God is

ruled by his time and ways what makes

you a believer is not on the outside is

not your background what makes you a

Christian is what Jesus Christ has done

for you at the cross of Calvary god's

plan God's ways are beyond our mental

imagination god is richer than your

dreams he's greater than your weakness

his ways are higher than our thoughts

and ways we are the one limiting ourself

in the one foot ceiling god want the sky

to be your limit you are the one looking

at your circumstances where God want you

to look beyond the circumstances to see

what he has in store behind that

situation how do we know that God is

hearing our prayer is there any evidence

to know God has heard me peace of

heart that is it how did you know God

has answered peace of heart his body may

be shaking your emotion may be high your

mind may be completely lost but if you

sit down deep inside you there is peace

of heart there is peace of heart this

mean God is in control nothing out of

God's control can happen to

you develop your relationship with the

state of our heart is damaged

unforgiveness unforgiving spirit we

fight we condemn people if you want to

forgiveness why do you say the price and

forgiving spirit locked your blessing in

the past what God asks from you to do is

your gen willingness to carry your cross

that's how you pay your price jesus said

"Deny yourself don't do your will do my

will." That means choosing to forgive

truly from your heart sometimes painful

that's what Jesus said carry your cross

faith that focuses on Jesus if we learn

determine our future jesus is looking at

from now your 20 years from now this is

concentrated on now now and even

yesterday the pain of the past betrayal

of the past the disappointment of the

past the scars of the past that we find

it difficult to even live today let

alone trust our tomorrow in the hands of

Jesus and yet Jesus knows what we can

become tomorrow if we fully submit to

him and that's what he's looking at no

one was born righteous no no one but

Jesus has come to remove that past and

give you a new future and if he can do

it for you he can do it for someone else

as well that you're currently looking at

with the eyes of judgment if Jesus can

remove our past and point us to the

future then he can do it for everyone

that is why we shouldn't judge anyone on

account of today because tomorrow is a

mystery

your focus go where your attention is

what I want is where I focus my

attention the Bible asks us to focus on

Jesus Christ and that is the issue and

if you focus on Jesus it puts everything

else into perspective if I focus on

Christ I will begin to see life clearly

in the light of Christ I will filter

everything through the light of Jesus

faith focuses on God those who focus on

Jesus will see the meaning of Christ in

their life but that focus must be for

God's sake as human beings we're

naturally programmed our autofocus is

set to focus on man what is autofocus

something automatic if you rely on

autofocus do you have any role to play

no it's automatic faith is not autofocus

the flesh won't participate the flesh

you all know but to focus on God you

have to live autofocus you have to go to

manual and ask Holy Ghost to help you to

look deep enough to focus on the heart

of the matter you have to look through

the narrow way through the viewfinder of

the Holy Spirit to see what Jesus
