NICHQ's Community-Centered Hospital Initiative (CCHI) hosted a national webinar, Recognizing the Value of our Presence, where attendees learned strategies to center communities by recognizing their leadership in improving perinatal and infant health, honoring their expertise, and building on the practices and processes they already use.
CCHI aims to create a new framework in which communities lead and collaborate with trusted community-based organizations (CBOs), Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs), and hospitals, all focusing on joint initiatives using their realized power to optimize health outcomes for mothers and infants.
In addition to learning more about the initiative's mission and strategic goals as we work to establish a replicable program model in pilot states, attendees gained valuable insights from expert panelists representing community organizations and hospital entities.
