Broadmoor, a word that makes people shiver

Most think that Broadmoor
is a prison in fact

in fact, it's a
high secure

psychiatric hospital.

And home to some of the countries most

dangerous and violent offenders.

After 5 years of negotiation and
for the very first time

the hospital has allowed cameras in to

meet the man, who
live behind these walls

committed something atrocious

of what I actually done,
I never admitted it

to have killed me then to have allowed me

and Kenneth Herskin.

Some of the most dangerous killers

the country's ever known.

But not all rapist,
pedophiles or murderers

There's people in there for self-harming

in prison. There's people in

First built is a Victorian lunatic asylum

for the criminally insane.

Today Braodmoor is an NHS hospital.

Over its 150 year history, it's been a

secretive and mysterious institution.

Staff are under strict instructions not to

discuss patients outside
the hospital walls

Many won't even admit to working here.

mainstream then you'd probably say

you work in a hospital or something.

Don't really wanna talk about it

in the place.
