Japanese Mailman's Incredible Job Climbing a Mountain | YAMADERA ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Description:
Japan's full of adventures and Yamadera in Yamagata, 2.5 hours north west of Tokyo in the Tohoku region is one of those places! After climbing over 1000 steps, atop the mountain is a temple with a viewing deck looking over the whole town and beyond - and a Japan Post box full of mail that needs to be picked up almost every day. That means there's a person whose job it is to climb all those steps and get it, up and down again, 12,000 steps a week. That mailman is Sasahara-san! He takes us up on an adventure from the ground level to the top through Yamadera'a Autumn foliage.
